Where do I begin? This was the first novel I read after a 4 month long hiatus and it reminded me why I love books so much. They take you into a world where anything and everything is possible, letting your imagination run wild.
"The extraordinary journey of the Fakir who got trapped in an IKEA wardrobe" by Romain Puértolas is exactly as it sounds- quirky, funny and very self-aware! The puns and the jokes may not be very original but are used in the right amounts and in the right context making it a very light read. The book takes you through the physical and mental journey of a fakir from India, Ajatashatru Ogash Rathod from Paris to Libya and follows a very fluid narrative making it quite a page-turner. Donot think twice before picking this book up!
