Two lawyers. One divorce. And a past to overcome.

Leo Ward
Born a billionaire and employed as a corporate lawyer, I was driven, determined and obviously easily distracted by a nice ass. How else could I explain marrying a gold digger? In my defense, Sable was sneakier than most. And one fateful night, she tricked me and changed the course of my life.

Now, we’re in the middle of a heated divorce, fighting for custody of our son and my money. I’ve always prided myself on being prepared and thinking three steps ahead, but Liz suddenly reappearing in my life was completely unexpected. We’d been friends in law school, and nearly more. Back then, I’d been forced to let her go. I wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.

Elizabeth Prescott

Thanks to the partners’ desire for a share of the Ward billions, I was stuck representing his wife in the divorce. Leo was the man I almost dated, until Sable managed to get her claws in him. I hadn’t seen him since. Then we ran into each other at the pool party.

Instantly, our old chemistry was triggered and I could tell Leo wanted to pick up right where we left off, but there were two things in the way: his wife, and my heart. He’d nearly stolen it once before during our late night study sessions, but then he suddenly disappeared from my life. No way would I ever let him get close again.

After five years apart, all they needed was one night to get back together.

What made her decide to be an erotica author?

Simple.

How else was she going to parlay her two favorite past times into a career?

Emma is single and loving it. Like her first character, Alysin, Sin for short, she doesn't believe in settling or in settling down. She loves to indulge in her passions whenever the mood strikes and enjoys keeping all of life's cliche moments spicy.

Known for her sense of humor, Emma surrounds herself with friends whose antics often become the source of book fodder. Her ideal situation would be to explore the Caribbean while writing. She pursues that dream daily.

Leo couldn't believe that the lawyer representing his wife in their divorce was Liz. Someone he was attracted to in college. Liz didn't want to represent Sable but she didn't have a choice. She sure didn't like the gold digger but her company wanted the money the case would bring them. A billionaire divorcing his wife would get them a big payday.

I really liked Leo and felt sorry for him. He had a battle ahead of him fighting his wife in a divorce. He wanted out of the marriage with full custody of his son. She wanted money, manipulating the facts in order to get as much as she could. I particularly liked the way Leo felt about his money. He didn't throw it around but was willing to part with as much as he needed to get custody of his son.

I loved this story! Very emotional. The history of the main characters makes you love or hate them. The secondary characters are great and I`m looking forward to getting to know more about them in their own stories.

I borrowed Law & the Single Dad from the Kindle Unlimited program as part of a three book set called Single Dads Club Boxed Set.

Leo Ward billionaire and corporate lawyer wants a divorce from his gold-digging, cheating and manipulative soon to be ex-wife. He wants full custody of his son, Hudson and to avoid as much financial burden as possible. His wife has other ideas.

Sable hires his college study buddy form college Elizabeth, now a family law attorney while working with Leo's attorney behind his back. Leo catches on and things change using Law & the Single Guy to have his rights protected.

The fun of the story is that his soon to be ex-wife is outsmarted and the romance between Elizabeth and Leo is sweet, romantic and full of support for each other on all levels. He is really a sweet guy and proves it as he plans a future with Lizzie.

No, no, no...

Elizabeth has no character development outside of her relationship to Leo. We barely know about her job or past cases, and her parents don't make thipeir only appearance until 81% of the way through the book. Her friend is married to Leo's friend, so he's pretty much always there. Leo's character development isn't really better but he gets his mom present. His child, Hudson, is barely on the page. I think this book gave the minimum of a story, and it would have been better if the legnth had been longer.

Great follow - up to book one

After the brief intro to Leo in book 1 of the series, I was excited to read his story. This is a fun, feisty, feel-filled second chance romance. It's a fairly quick read and flows steadily to keep things interesting. The characters are well developed, both main and secondary, and I love the core group of friends. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

This was a nice fast read that can be read in one sitting. I'm loving single dad books right now so I had to read this one. This also is a second chance for Leo and Liz. Things get pretty interesting along the way. All I can say is I'm not a fan of Leo's soon to be ex-wife. Emma Nichols did a great job creating a unlikable character. One that you hope karma comes to visit. I enjoyed the humor in this one. One of my favorite things about the book. It's definitely an enjoyable read.

Law &The Single Dad

Though in th beginning Leo was in the process of a divorce the title is a bit off. He reconnects with Liz reminds him of his actions while in college. He married another who turned out to be a good digger. When he decided on a divorce she wound up pregnant. Now he is going through with the divorce. But there are complications that crop up. It was another fast read.

Honestly, I didn't enjoyed the book that much.

It felt like there were things that were misising from the story. Like when Liz mentions spending time with Hudson but we never get to see them together or even interact.

It also feels that everything is very rushed. It doesn't matter that they know each other for years, they have only been dating six weeks...

I don't know... I wouldn't mind a little bit more of planning and better execution.

Leo and Lizzie’s characters are complex, witty, likeable and most definitely infuriating .. they have history together and with that comes sooo much more .. secrets, pain and love. Once I began reading I was so engrossed there was no putting it down, I had to finish it .. if you don't have this book, get it now, it’s absolutely entertaining!!

Law and Love

I want a Leo for me! He messed up theur past, got Sable on the picture for sometime and to get Hudson in his life. When everything seems to go south, Liz return to his life again and this time he is not going to let her go. Emma was generous with lots of love and sweetness.

Liz and Leo knew each other five years ago. Now she is the lawyer for his soon to be ex wife. She fell for him before are the feelings still there? I enjoyed this quick read filled with a great storyline. I also enjoyed the secondary characters. They really made this a great story.

Loved it!

I absolutely loved Leo and Liz’s story. I just wish their was a glimpse into the future. I can not wait for Sex and the single dad maybe there will be an epilogue that will let us see how all three couples are doing.

Better than the first book but still a mediocre quick read that could have been better. Seems the rush to a happy ending is more important to this author as she brushes over the important and installs average drama that’s swept away with ease

Very sweet.

I loved the first book, and this was just as good. Kind of a second chance to get it right. Romance, drama, but none of the angsty breakup stuff.
