It started well, 5 shifter brothers separate when their family is attacked. I got lost quickly, the time lines were odd, starts in 20th century, but H mentions he's 500 years old? No detail about how he's lived as a single man for that long, why was he living with his parents 50 years before? The h is a shifter too, has special skills, and bad guys frame her for murder to steal her skills. It's insta-mate, with no passion, no attempt to show their connection, love scenes were very bland. I didn't like it.

After a tragic fire that claimed their parents, the Wylde brothers decide to go their separate ways to ensure their safety. Scout Wylde ended up as Alpha of a large pack in Colorado, but still carries feelings of loss and resent over his brothers each going their own way. Rayven stumbles onto a murder scene and is immediately arrested as a suspect. She calls her brother Onyx to help her out. Onyx does this without hesitating, although his best friend and Alpha advises against it. I enjoyed the book, although it took me a little longer to really get into this book. I enjoyed the suspense side of the story, and the main characters were interesting. I love the idea of loyalty as an important part of a relationship, but I am rooting for the brothers to find a way back to each other. Family is as we get older also the people we chose to have in our lives, but siblings are so important in sharing one’s roots and common experiences. I will be on the look-out for the next installment of the Wylde brothers.

Who needs brothers when you’ve got a friend like Onyx

Wolves have special gifts, which comes handy for Rayven Stark on her search for her missing father and brother. Unfortunately, before she gets to use her gift under normal circumstances she is accused of murder. Luckily, she tries to contact her twin brother Onyx Stark, and he is there to help.

Scout Wylde a wolf over five-hundred years old is Alpha of a pack in Silverthorne, Colorado. Onyx is one of his beta’s, the best tracker they have, and Scouts best friend, his family.

“Onyx is my brother, too,” Scout replied. “Not by blood, but by the moon, and that’s important to me.”

The story revolves mainly around the three of them and what they can do to prove Rayven is innocent. I liked that Scout was cautious about helping at first and thinking about the good of his pack. He is a good Alpha. All the characters are interesting and easy to relate to.

I found the ending to be a little predictable, but overall this was a nice quick read. There are a few errors though. I’d love to read about the rest of Scout’s family, and even see Onyx and Creek get their HEA.

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.

Oh my goodness! Talk about excitement Ravyn is in Silverthorn Colorado. She;s at a nightclub and is leaving when she hears a man yelling and running past her. She doesn;t see anything behind him but then hears his screams. She goes to find him only to find his body, in trying to find out who he is she gets his blood on her. Then the police are there and arresting her for the man;s murder. She asks for her one phone call and her power is to pull numbers out of the air. She calls her brother, Onyx. Onyx is the beta of Scout Wylde;s pack and he asks his alpha to help him but he refuses. So Onyx goes alone and returns with his sister. When Scout sets eyes on her, they imprint on each other, much to everyone;s surprise. The next night Scout calls a pack meeting and when Ravyn tells them who the dead man was, things go out of hand because the Crescents, a feared organization is discovered to be there. Events run one into the other with danger constantly on them until a unforseen truth is revealed.
Fantastic story about the next Wylde brothers.

This series just gets better and better!!!
This is the second book and as we met River Wylde, in this book we meet his brother Scout but right now that's all that's the same in both boops - the fact that they're brothers and they have the same tragic history.
Here we meet Onyx who is Scouts Beta and Rayven who is Onyx's twin sister - they have their own tragic past and they meet up again when Rayven has been arrested for a murder she didn't do - no seriously she didn't do it. And that's where they all meet and their story unfolds.
Hold onto your hats because this is gonna be a bumpy ride! But boy it's so enjoyable.
I loved this book as it delves into the alpha / tragic past and allows us to see how Scout has dealt with his past. Pshaw - not very well if you ask me but he's an Alpha and a man - a combination that screams determined and don't push me!
A fun and entertaining read

I’m out. DNF @ 51%

Soooooo.... probably not gonna be able to force this one. Scout is an asshole. A cold, dickhead.

His BFF and pack beta asks, and then literally BEGS for his help to save his sister. And what does this fearless alpha do? Basically tell his friend ‘no way- she’s not my problem, so fuck off, and you’d better not help her either- because I said so!’ Shitty friend.

And then all of the encounters he has with his ‘imprinted one true mate’ he’s literally a total pick to her. Cold and distant.

There is nothing to like about this douche.

Then BAM, at 50% he gives her a couple nice looks, and then they have sex in the shower because ‘mates’?!

So, Scout sucks.

And Rayven is an idiot. She gropes a dead body, gets caught all bloody- and arrested for murder. Calls her brother for help, and he does- against orders.

So she listens to his douche alpha chew his ass out for helping her out of jail. Gets forbidden to leave said assholes house. Then she’s reamed out for playing video games- even though she wasn’t told not to- also by said douche canoe. Then Rayven gets dragged into a pack meeting- super uncomfortable, but no worries because Scout gives her ‘supportive looks’? Next thing we know they’re banging in the shower because ‘mates’?

No. Nope. Fuck that. The only barely sensible character here is Onyx- the beta/brother.

If Scout and Rayven got ran over by a bus on the next page- I still wouldn’t care enough to turn the next to find out if they lived.

Moving on.

Rayven is accused of murder escapes with her brother's aid then meets Scout his Alpha and her mate.
Rayven leaves to night club and is walking towards her car when a man runs towards her yelling that it was after him and for her to run. She ia unable to see or hear anything so she keeps walking towards her car. Then hears screaming from an alley in the direction the man had gone and goes to investigate. There she sees the man who had passed her laying on the ground covered in blood. She checks for a pulse finding none she checks his identity and realizes she has blood on her hands and that is when the police arrive. At the station she calls her brother. A shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

I’ve only read a couple of Lola Gabriel’s books and what I have read they were great reads and this book Alpha’s Loyalty is no exception. Rayven is accused of murdering a person she didn’t even know, she escapes prison with the help of her twin brother Onyx. Scout is the alpha of the Colorado pack and he isn’t at all happy that Onyx broke his twin sister out of prison and he takes her to the pack. As soon as Scout see’s Rayven he knows that she is his mate and he does everything he can to help Rayven prove her innocence. There’s mystery, danger, passion, hot sizzling scenes and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. A fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This is the second book in this series that I have read. I really enjoyed Scout and Rayvns story. Both were separated from their families and both are dealing with that emotional trauma. Rayvn reunites with her brother in a murder charge. I liked that she is the strongest of the twins. It's a nice change. Scout was determined to be alone for the rest of his life but Rayvn changes that. I also think that Scout wants to reunite with his brothers. I hope that is where this series is headed . I can't wait to read the next book.

Cut off from family, five brothers left to start over. Revenge taken on them from someone they never new existed. Can Scout finally find hope in Rayven? An easy read with unexpected twists, it will keep you turning the pages to find the answers. It's loaded with characters and leaves you wanting more. Scout never understood the reason his mother and father were killed, the reason he and his brothers separated and went their separate ways, never to see each other after that fateful night. Can Scout keep his life mate safe with the help of his pack? Read this story to find out.

Title: Alpha’s Loyalty
Author: Lola Gabriel
Format: ebook
Genre: Paranormal romance, shifter (wolf), suspense
Standalone: yes
Park of a Series: Book 2 of Code of the Alpha
POV: Rayven, Scout
Steam Level: warm
4/5

Alpha’s Loyalty is the second book in the Code of the Alpha series. I liked this one better than the first. While this book is a standalone I can definitely feel it building up to something big. It’s interesting that these wolves have different abilities besides just being shifters. It’s a fun addition to this trope/genre. The mystery was good and I liked the multiple twists upon twists.

crescent wolves

Alpha’s Loyalty is book two in the series Code of the Alpha by author Lola Gabriel. Ok so I really liked this one it gives a bit more insight into who the crescent pack is and what they are capable of. They are really bad guys.
Anywho, enough about them. So the MFC is courageous and loyal- she’s also a little feisty. The MMC is a bit of a stubborn wolf who values loyalty and respect.
Ok one more thing these books each are about brothers who have drifted away from each other. They have their own demons they need to deal with. My hope is that it all works out in the end and they realize they need each other and so do their packs.
Enjoy!!

shifter families

I really hope this is the start of a whole series as it was such a great story and so well written. Yes some romance but not detracting from the actual STORY with some great twists and turns making it a very readable " who dunit ? " So many shifter stories rely on sexy alphas and steamy sex scenes this one relies on the actual story and succeeds brilliantly . More stories like this please as I would love to know why? and what happened to the others ?( no spoilers here lol )

Scout is accustomed to being able to see what’s coming

Scout has excellent vision. He can see further than anyone, notice the smallest detail. People don’t normally sneak up on him... but Rayven appears out of no where, and while the rational, if slightly cranky, side of him wants to send her away, there is another part of him that demands he and his pack help her.

There’s a bit of mystery in this story, and it felt like a slow burn at first, but it picked up nicely, wove together several aspects of the story well, and made this feel like a solid, done in one quick read.

In this book, we meet another of the Wylde brothers. Rayven is blamed for a murder and uses her phone call to contact her brother Onyx. Onyx happens to be a beta in Scout Wylde’s pack. She is a sweet lovable young woman. Scout? Not so much. This is an exciting well-written story and a good second book in the series.

This was a fast paced story about a she-wolf shifter being framed for murder. There was a great back story in the Prologue that allows the reader to see where Scouts family begins. I was for sure that the plot of the story would have more to do with the why of what happened to them. I am looking forward to seeing what is next for this series.

I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review

Great next book to Lola's Mate's Call. Scout, the brother to River from Mate's Call, is also just as dynamic. I love him and Rayven together. Great storyline and great characters. The twist at the ending was definitely a surprise, but a good one. Can't wait to read about the next brother from the Wylde family.

The second book of the series, this one revolving around another Wylde brother, Scout, and his true mate Ravyn. She and her twin brother Onyx, who is a beta to Scout's alpha, are being hunted down by a vicious and evil pack for their inherent gifts. Great storytelling, I loved reading this!
