Rate this book
Lily's world has been rocked. Lies, betrayal, and the revelation of her magic have left her floundering.
But she knows she can trust Matt, Nate, Josh, and Jake. They promised to support her, but their suspicions of Drew continue to grow, despite his apologies and explanations.
However, the more she talks with Drew, the more she suspects that Jonas isn't what he seems either. Unsure of them both, she tells the boys her doubts, but their refusal to listen brings tension to the group.
Tension increases when jealousy explodes into their budding relationship. And when family members discover the truth behind their relationship they're met with a hostility that could tear them apart.
With difficulties at every turn will Lily and her boys be able to keep their circle strong and discover the truth behind the deceptive secrets?

Lily's life has been turned upside down. Everything her mother has ever told her has been a lie; Lily has magic, not epilepsy; they have moved to stay ahead of her father, not necessarily for career reasons, and she's not actually her birth mother but her aunt. Naturally, Lily's faith has been shaken. She doesn't know whom she can trust or even who she is. Lily has been told her father is a monster but is he? The boys tell her Jonas, their mentor is trustworthy but is he? Lily suspects both are keeping secrets. The only thing she's sure about is her boys, Matt, Nate, Josh, and Jake. She knows she can trust them. She knows that she's falling for all of them. She also knows she may not be what's best for them all. Jealousy, family disapproval, and insecurities threaten their bond. Is this circle meant to be?

Deceptive Secrets is an intricate, entertaining story. Just when you feel like you are starting to know a character and their motives, there's a twist and you are back to square one. The surrounding adult characters are complex; basically good but acting in a deceitful or harmful manner; essentially bad but caring in this one instance. Each adult has their own reasons for their actions or a motive and can't be totally relied on or trusted. Each relationship with an adult is strained and may not be in the best interests of Lily and her boys. Or maybe it's what they need at the moment even if the adult isn't being honest. The only pure relationships are between Lily and her boys. Their relationship is so pure and heartfelt. It captures the innocence of first love but also the depth of lasting, true love. The love the boys all have for one another helps strengthen the bond even more. In a world so confusing, this relationship is solid.

I enjoyed every bit of this story. It's funny, sweet, infuriating, frustrating, heartbreaking, suspenseful, intriguing. I look forward to more!

Books one and two were awesome but book three blew it into the stratosphere, a fantastic mix of sweet romance and explosive excitement. I had delicious questions pop up as I read, twists I did not see coming and the I got answers too. The writer produced a beautifully written storyline that held me gripped from beginning to end and to top it off there is some very humourous parts which made me chuckle out loud (my partner thinks I am nuts). I am extremely excited for book four, I need to get my fix of these awesome characters

Lily and her guys are back. Lily is trying to figure out her magic, unravel all the secrets and lies she has been told, and things are heating up between her and the guys. I really liked seeing Lily and the guys work through their relationships — and I loved the “festering” scene. I thought this story had a bit more humor which I enjoyed, and the steam level really went up. I really enjoy this series and can’t wait to see where it goes.

Deceptive Secrets: Book 3 of The Seer Series
By: R.M. Walker 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

******** May Contain Some Spoilers ********

I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.

Holy monkey babies, the plot thickens! Lily and the guys take their relationship to a whole new level. Jonas has some seriously dangerous secrets. Lynda has plans that are not good for Lily. I believe that this betrayal by Lynda will be the final straw for Lily. Matt has some serious family issues that could destroy their relationship. Drew is up to something. I'm sure he loves Lily, but he has something up his sleeve. This book is full of love, curses, magic, visions, and hidden agendas. Must read book 4, I have to know how this ends!

•••••• I highly recommend this book/series! ••••••

Sooooo good! This was the best book in this series so far, the characters have been great thus far, aside from Lily being a bit indecisively annoying, but they got SO much better in this book! I laughed and cried and fell completely in love with Lily’s men. Not just her romantic ones either, her dad won me over, I respect Jonas now and I love most of the guys dads. The steam factor leveled up a notch as well, yumm, I can wait for more twin action! But I also LOVE how the story line progressed! I’m am eagerly and “patiently” awaiting book four...I have to know what happens next!!!

RM Walker knocks it out of the park again.

I've always loved RM's work, but Deceptive Secrets reminds me why. Her characters are not two dimensional. The writing is phenomenal, and there's so much depth and complexity to the story that just when you think you know who the bad is, you find out it's not that way at all. If you haven't read the Seer series, then you should start. This is the best one yet.

Did I mention I loved the book?

Super good!!

Finally some advancement in their relationships with Lily.. I loved every bit of this book!! I loved learning more about Lily’s parents and grandparents and family. I also loved how the book was centered around the boys’ families and their discomfort/support with the whole situation. I can’t wait to find out more about Lily and her guys’ families and pasts, and how it all ties into their future together!!! Can’t wait for the next book!!

Great ending!

I only have 2 grumps with this story. One, the author did such a great job with the make out scenes that the intercourse scene felt anticlimactic. Two, the cohesiveness of sharing and the reality of it seems to be something the boys are still not discussing deeply. Hopefully in the next book they shall. However, overall I enjoyed it and am waiting for the next part of the story.

Worth waiting for!

It seems like I waited forever for this part. I'm glad I didn't give up waiting either. Love Lily & her boys! And Drew, whom I wasn't so sure about at first, well, I'm falling for him too. Although, there is something more.... Thank you R.M. Walker for a wonderful read & cannot wait for book 4!

Keeps Getting Better!

I absolutely loved this book! If I could give it 10 stars I would! Great plot, and excellent writing.
This is turning into one of my favorite RH series!
Lily is terrific, and the boys are amazing. They're all growing, and maturing, and so is the romance. We also get into the Council, and where the real threat is coning from, and why.
I can't wait for the next chapter. Hopefully it'll come out soon!
I'm going to be buying book 4 for sure

Amazing

This book was amazing. The characters pop out of the pages and are so realistic. The relationship between Lily and the guys developed wonderfully and it got smoking hot. The secrets and lies were thick and I'm nervous and excited to see where this story is going to go. Honestly one of my top five favorite series

Enjoyed all three books for the amazing camaraderie, humour, wit and love story amongst the five protagonists, their loving parents, Jonas.

Flipside. Do not enjoy the deviant rituals. Magic is nothing but energy, the five elements in nature manifested through affirmations, stoked with positive intent. Or vice-versa.

Fear is a false emotion in the absence of truth.

I love Lily and her boys!

I love this third book in the series. It moves Lily's relationships with the boys forward and out into the open with varying reactions. We see more of the motivations behind her parent's actions and decisions. I can't wait see how it all pans out.

Great!

First book was ok. Second book was frustrating, her denial and weakness annoying me, the storyline confusing and an ending full of questions. But in this third book, the awesomeness pops out, the story in starting to come together and FMC is coming to her own.

Book 3: My favorite of the series

Book 3 is my favorite book of the series. It's where the character growth and relationships are exponential and the plot really kicks off. A lot more external action.

In this book Lily and her boys relationship becomes stronger than ever. There’s nothing to action packed in this book but their was parts that excited me. I can’t wait to read the next book.
