This book had gorgeous photography, great advice, thoughtful explanations and was very validating. My partner and I are planning to get married in November. We going to do a taco food truck and have a petting zoo among other unusual things. I’m super stoked but sometimes I feel bad about wanting to do something different. I’m grateful for the author of this book. It probably sounds so silly but it was nice being told that it’s okay that I’m different and want different things.
If you're a Bride, Groom, Two Brides, Two Grooms, Non Binary etc. And planning a wedding that is outside of the ordinary, this is the perfect book for you! It has been so helpful for my fiance and I. We have found inspiration for everything from suits, to celebrants, cake toppers, to order of service, to how to have feminist elements in our wedding, and including the music we love in our wedding! A must have book for all alternative couples! Highly recommended 👍
Pretty pictures, but not many useful steps/timelines or budgeting tips. I was also expecting something that felt more up to date since it was published in 2019, but it’s been a long weird couple of years, I guess. Still, the philosophy of making your wedding personal felt spot on.
Wonderfully informative and inspiring such a fantastic read, I will definitely be adding this to my wedding book collection and picking it up again to peruse.
This book has a lot of cool ideas! I read it too late to plan for most of my wedding stuff but I highly recommend for some awesome non-traditional, creative ideas.
I was hoping for a little more about alternative ways to conduct your ceremony but it was still very helpful. I've got some ideas, and the checklists will definitely come in handy.
