Now that Jesse has found a perfect partner in Grant, the new Dom in his life, he figures there’s just one thing that will make their relationship ideal. And her name is Stephanie. He’s not at all surprised when Grant’s on board with his plan. Now they just have to convince Stephanie to take a chance on them.
Stephanie has missed her friend Jesse since he hooked up with Grant and stopped coming to Apex. Of course, not seeing them around hasn’t stopped her fantasizing about being with the sexy-as-hell guys. When they finally come up for air and hit the club again, she’s thrilled to see them. Her crappy evening takes a definite turn for the better when they invite her out. And then they invite her into their relationship.
Once she gets over the shock, the temptation is too much to resist. But she has to be careful. She doesn’t want to risk the relationship between the guys, and she sure doesn’t want to risk her heart. Of course, she might not have much choice—not if Jesse and his Dom have anything to say about it.
Perfect Addition can be read by itself. It is not necessary to read the series to enjoy this book.

KB Alan lives the single life in Southern California. She acknowledges that she should probably turn off the computer and leave the house once in a while in order to find her own happily ever after, but for now she’s content to delude herself with the theory that Mr. Right is bound to come knocking on her door through no real effort on her own. Please refrain from pointing out the many flaws in this system. Other comments, however, are happily received through her email or website.
Over the weekend, I wanted a change from the books I was reading for school and, well, this was certainly a change. Definitely not in the curriculum.
I remember really liking the first book in this series, but this one was a little bit of a miss for me. I'm not sure why. I just could not get attached to the characters, I thought the BDSM elements were weird (and I've read books with them before and liked them, so it's not that I'm just not used to it), and I thought the plot was weirdly structured.
We begin the story by following Stephanie and learning that she's "friends" (at times seems more like acquaintances) with Jesse, who's gay. Jesse found the perfect guy, Grant, about 7-8 months ago and he's very happy. Except now Jesse and Grant want to add a little extra flavor into their relationship and decide to bring Stephanie into it. Because Grant's bi and Jesse, while being gay, is wildly attracted to Stephanie. As someone who is not bi or gay, I can't speak for whether this is realistic, but I feel like it's not. So that was actually probably when I started not buying into the story.
The scenes in this book felt dramatically less sexy to me than the first book. I think it was the D/s side of their relationship in some form. Perhaps how it was written? The scenes just did not feel spicy; they felt weirdly cold and detached. Really sets the mood, doesn't it?
There are also a few plot elements along the way to make it seem more palatable, but it's really a joke. The plot is background noise to everything going on in this menage relationship. There are a couple of conflicts within their relationship that did a lot more to move the plot along than the suspense angle that comes out partway through it.
Look, it was fine. I've certainly read a lot worse, but I've also read better.
I think that this is the last of the four books that she has written and it is clear I am not into sbmd this much. I am grateful that they were given sexy times outside if scenes so I could have that to look forward to as I continued to read the book.
I liked how everyone came from someplace different. Maybe it was to help him be in control more or give his want of being in control and a dom more weight by giving him money but it worked. And having it be something that he could kinda give up for them made him... I don't know. More grounded. Showing that money didn't make him who he was if you somehow missed his family drama.
The ”villain” of the story wasn’t hidden at all but maybe he wasn’t meant to be.
You can read book two or three in any order, there is next to no overlap at all and neither share something you need to know for the other book. Which I was slightly disappointed with, but since everyone doesn't have this need to cross-crossing paths with others of ”their kind” once they have found their someone, I shouldn't be surprised.
I still like the first book the best, followed by 2.5. The incedent that went down at the auction but that doesn't mean I hate the other two. She just built more on the sbmd with each story like she was getting use to it, or easing us into it. I can appreciate that.
But outside of the scenes and complete trust and the heavy responsibility of that trust, we still found people who were trying to connect with others and let themselves be loved even as they fought against it sometimes.
Good story and I approve of the ending. Just one technical blip. The limo scene going to the beach house. That I think could use a little fixing. Somethings don't ”match up”.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. We disclose this in accordance with 16 CFR §255.
There's a lot of passion and varying degrees of BDSM in this story between the three main characters. Jesse and his Dom Grant have a wonderful relationship that they feel would be absolutely perfect if they could add Stephanie - both in bed and out. Stephanie is all for some fun but tries to protect her heart as she is uncertain of where their relationship is going because nobody communicates clearly - except in thre bedroom where there are multiple steamy scenes. The main characters are really likeable and they are very compatible during sexy times but the story did not develop the love connection that they supposedly have. There is some outside drama as well.
Perfect love story with a twist. Jesse and Grant are in a loving relationship, but something is missing. Stephanie, friends with Jesse, is what is missing. What was supposed to be a short term thing, turned into much more. What I really enjoyed about this book is when I thought it was going to end, it just kept on going. They story has hot as hell BSDM sex scenes, but you can feel the love they all have for one another. The story has a HEA ending, but I thought the ending felt cut short. This was my first book by this author and definitely want to read more.
This book had a good blend of sexy and emotional relationship building. Stephanie is a sub. She meets up with Jesse and Grant one night and they invite her to join their relationship. Jesse is gay, but has had a thing for Stephanie. Grant is bi, and is cool with a 3 some. She isn’t sure if this is just fun or going to turn into something more. I liked how they figured out how this would all work and if she’d be into it. There was some drama along the way, but it worked out well in the end.
As I have said in previous reviews I do not read erotica expecting a good storyline or plot. However, this one surprised me as it had a pretty good storyline.
I liked the characters and I felt they were a good pairing. I will say I am not a huge fan of BDSM but it fits.
This was the third book in the series but it flowed well and I didn't have an issue with not having read the first two. Overall this was a very enjoyable read and has a great balance of sex verses storyline.
I tried to like this book but just couldn’t get interested enough. I got half way through and decided it was way too boring. I’m not into bondage and torture. I did not realize that’s what this book entailed. Therefore, I couldn’t finish it.
The characters are great, and the development of their relationship even better. The story could have done more to show the characters personalities, as there is little time used to showcase many aspects of their lives. It was a very steamy, yet sweet read.
An adorable story, little drama and very predictable, but it was just what I needed. A sweet, uncomplicated story with beautiful and well written scenes that made it a delight.
Perfect Addition (Perfect Fit #3) by KB Alan – This is a series, but each one is pretty self-contained. This had just the right balance of miscommunication and honesty if that makes any sense. I really enjoyed it! Happy Reading!
Wish these were in KU. I would read all of them. I’ve read book 1 and this one, book 3. Emma from book 2 makes an appearance sorta as it’s over the phone and some context. Dana from book 2.5 is mentioned briefly in relation to Eric at the club. Decent, I’d read more.
The author seems to drag the back story carefully behind the love story. The intimacy is great/graphic. If you enjoy loving BDSM stories I hope you enjoy this one.
This was a nice read! Well written. I loved the characters. They had a great friendship that lead to a great relationship! They were definitely the perfect addition.
