Rosa hoped becoming a submissive would fix her relationship with Liam. It hasn’t. Liam has loved Rosa nearly half his life, but he knows he doesn’t make her happy. The one thing he wants more than anything is to keep her safe. He would never hurt her--she's been hurt enough. When Rosa and Liam are assigned to the letter H as part of their BDSM club’s new checklist game, a chance to come together instead becomes a reason to drift further apart. With so many items on the list for H, they aren't the only people assigned to the letter. Thinking it will make her happy, Liam allows Rosa to join another Dom’s harem. Pushed to his breaking point by what he sees his lover doing, Liam will decide if their past will stop him from becoming the Master she needs, or if he'll accept the darkness of his own desires.

The letter H really was heartbreaking, this couple had so much history to work through.....
Rosa and Liam have been together for so long, and have been through so much together,it hurts!
Becoming members of Las Palmas is their last attempt at finding a way forward, together.
But Liam isn’t sure it’s a good idea, the last thing he wants is to hurt Rosa....again.
Rosa still hopes that Liam will find his inner Dom,the one that will take the reigns, the one that can make her hurt,in a good way...
Getting the letter H seems like a disaster from the start, because the first thing he does is give her to Master Kahn as part of his harem.
He feels like he’s failing Rosa, and the best thing to do,is walk away, even though it kills him.
Rosa’s not sure how she feels about that, but the hurt she feels when he leaves, shows her she doesn’t want him to....
Lucky for them,Master Kahn and his sub,Lucious, know what to do to give them that little nudge they need.

Working out their issues was painful to watch.
Knowing they loved eachother, but not being able to love being together.
Being lost to eachother, not knowing what to do to make it right and both hurting....
I was só glad Liam found the side of him Rosa needed most, and ended up liking that side of himself as much as she did!

This book...I'm not quite sure where to start. The emotional hurt in this book is heartbreaking. Both characters are hurting so bad, it's hard not to connect with them. From the beginning, you can tell that there is a relationship between the two, outside of Las Palmas. But you can also tell it's a very toxic relationship. Even though the love was there, and it was blindingly pure between these two, I wasn't sure if it was better for them to be together or apart.

Rosa is a submissive, down to her bones. But there is a tragedy in her past that is forcing her into a role she doesn't come to naturally. And it is destroying her relationship with her Master.

Liam is trying to be what Rosa needs, but isn't sure if that is who he is. He spends so much time and effort trying to assure that he is meeting her needs, that he misses the mark. And it's tearing them apart.

This story was hard to read, simply because of how emotional it was. But it was also a beautiful story. It focuses less on the checklist game (even though it plays a big part in the story) and more on the journey these two have in front of them, to hopefully find a way to move forward, one way or another.

This couple were struggling, six months ago deciding to join a BDSM club in an effort to save their relationship. Liam is struggling with his dominant urges, not wanted to hurt her but he does. They receive the letter H and are paired with an experienced couple. The struggle Liam experiences was very realistic as well as Rosa's frustrations when he allowed her to top from the bottom. Really felt what this couple was feeling. This couple has suffered personal tradgedy but find their way back to each other when they finally accept and embrace their needs.

L DuBois pulls you into the story and doesn't let you go until the very end. H is for... BDSM Checklist is a beautiful, intense, and emotional love story of heartbreak, tragedy, commitment, misunderstandings, trust, reconnecting, communication, moving forward, love, and a HEA.

This is the eighth book in the Checklist Series. I have read and loved each previous book in the series, but this one was, in the author’s own word, intense.  It was emotional and devastatingly sad in parts, but equally beautiful and hopeful in others. I loved Rosalicia, but it took me quite a while to warm to Liam, if I’m honest.  I do appreciate that the author wrote this story - she has written about really good Doms and unsure subs, and this book was a bit of a flip. It annoys me sometimes when every BDSM story has a Dom who is perfect, so this book was refreshing in that respect.

Rosalicia and Liam have been together for 17 years, but they are not in a good place (neither separately, nor as a couple). I felt badly for them, because of a variety of misunderstandings and heartbreaks. Due to these misunderstandings, neither wants to make themselves vulnerable by expressing their own needs. They join Las Palmas in an attempt to salvage their love and to reconnect with each other, but even that doesn’t seem to be helping. As members of the club, they are required to play the checklist game. I wasn’t sure if they would be better off continuing to work through their problems, or to break up.

I won’t give away details of the story, but I will say, by the end, that I was glad Rosa and Master Liam were finally getting to the place where they needed to be, sexually. The D/s scenes the author wrote were incredible.

Lila Dubois leaves the books in this series on a cliffhanger to show that every relationship is a work in progress (like real life). I know Master Liam and Rosa/Liam and Rosalicia have a lot of things to work out between them, but there is hope that they are on the track to a brighter, long-lasting future.

At the end of the story, I couldn’t stop crying.  The ending is PERFECT!!  I loved it!!

I cannot wait for the series to continue!!

I have loved all of the books in this series but this book just didn't do anything for me. First of all - the cover - it is a departure from the previous books in the series and actually makes Liam look pretty boring (all of the other covers were attention grabbing, if this had been the cover for A is for... I might have not read it). Yes, the story is filled with plenty of smoking scenes but I really enjoy the journey that the author sends her characters on. Here are two people that love each other and have been through so much together but still seem to not understand one another - at all. Liam is kind of wishy washy as a Dom and it isn't until he lets his "inner Dom" out that he actually becomes interesting but he reverts back so quickly that I am not sure how his sub could be anything but confused. When given the choice of Rosa or another sub, he choose the other sub and enjoyed her in front of Rosa and was going to have sex with yet another sub in front of Rosa (but due to someone else's interference - he did not). Liam and Rosa spend a lot of time in their own heads and not communicating with one another (from what I understand about BDSM - it is about communication). I found Master Khan and Luscious to be the more interesting couple in this book and they only play a small part.

Mae and Xavier (B) - amazing
Beth and James (C) - awesome
Cleo and Hadrian (D) - fantastic
Sejal and Cortland (G) - fabulous
Liam and Rosa (H) - meh

I've been reading one book a month from this series, and each one is impressively well-researched on BDSM aspects. In reality, those in the lifestyle know there's no definitive right or wrong; every couple tailors it to suit their needs.
In this particular book, the couple faces challenges as the MMC, Master Liam, struggles to separate lifestyle practices from abuse, walking a fine line that creates tension in their relationship. They've been together for 17 years but aren't engaged or married in the vanilla world, nor are they bonded or collared in their lifestyle.
Thankfully, the game they play guides them in the right direction, helping Master Liam and Rosa admit that despite every heartbreak, including child loss, their love for each other remains strong. Through the checklist game, he learns how to be the Dominant Rosa needs, while she learns to embrace her submissive role and stop trying to "top from the bottom." This story addresses many sensitive topics, making it an excellent and meaningful read.

Wow what a book. This is only the second book I’ve read in this series and I have to say this one had me hooked. The angst that was in this book made me tear up at time but at the same time you really wanted to shake the two main characters who just couldn’t seem to communicate about the hard stuff.....and believe me the stuff they needed to discuss was hard!
Rosa and Liam’s relationship is complicated, it seems as though they’re both tying to be something their not, they sometimes get far to much into their heads and they also have tragedy behind them which they can’t seem to get through. To help their relationship they go to a BDSM club to try and rekindle what they have as well as to move forward, whether that is together or apart!
Enter other characters that pop up and you’ve got this mesh of sexy scenes, funny scenes, scenes of angst, scenes of tenderness and a lot more.
At some points this book is difficult to read as it just pulls at your heart strings and I really loved how other characters genuinely wanted to help them.
A read which I definitely couldn’t put down. I’m excited for the next letter.

Ms. DuBois takes you on an emotional ride with this book. This is the eighth installment of her Alphabet series. In this book we meet Liam & Rosa who truly love each other but as with any relationship when tragedy strikes they start to drift apart. Unable to communicate and bridge the gap they make a last ditch effort and try an BDSM club. But instead of bring them closer they drift farther apart. Liam unable to deal with the dark desire he has as a Dom versus he his need to protect Rosa. Rosa is unable to communicate her need to submit in the BDSM club but not in the everyday life. This book was exceptional written and Ms. DuBois really grasps the grief, heartache, angry and despair that comes when this type tragedy strikes. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more installments in this series.

Rosalicia and Liam love each other deeply but have lost their way and are so far apart neither knows if they can find their way back together. Rosalicia needs a Dom to master her but Liam is so hesitant it's not working for either of them. With their relationship at stake, can Liam embrace his dark side and be the Dom Rosalicia needs?

This is an emotional story about a couple who have reached rock bottom in their relationship but who are still very much in love. Thanks to the great writing, I felt Rosalicia's frustration and I also sympathized with Liam who is so afraid of hurting her that he can't allow himself to let go. I wish there was an epilogue but even without one this book is a great read.

H is for...His

I love that this story is about a couple who has been together for a really long time. We learn piecemeal of their trials and their journey. Right now they are broken, can BDSM be a means of reaching their true selves again. Lila's rendition of the loneliness even in a committed relationship strikes such a chord of realism that it's heartbreaking. Rosa and Liam have realistic worries, mortgage and jobs and such. But even in their darkest hour their love is palpable a living hopeful thing. Loved this sexy emotional roller coaster read!

L Dubois's latest installment in her BDSM Checklist series outshines all the other books in the series and takes the reader on an emotional ride of heartache, sadness, hope, and so much love between Rosa and Liam. H is for... sets itself apart by intriguingly focusing on how Liam views his D/S relationship with Rosa. The path Rosa and Liam's D/S relationship takes brings out the beauty of BDSM (love, trust, communication, and understanding) which eventually leads to their HEA in both their D/S and vanilla worlds.

Probably my favorite of this series so far! The fact that the couple has been together for so long...they go through troubles and tribulations that are specific to their circumstance, but realistic that so many readers can sympathise with them. The fight in both of them is truly beautiful.

I couldn't put thia book down! I literally stayed up and binge read the entire thing in 1 night. I love how it incorporated Master Kahn and Luscious (who I truly hope the author write a book about because they are quite a lovely couple) into the storyline.

These two had so many different things going on, and making mistakes at every turn, you wanted to shake them and hug them at the same time. Being in a relationship, as well as being play partners, had so many crossed wires and conflicting emotions, they were ping-ponging all over the place. But, figuring things out through a series of things that did not work, and some help from their fellow letter mates, they sorted through the vanilla and the kink, and came to the place they both really wanted to be at!

Roller coaster ride of emotions from beginning to end!!! Liam and Rosa will take you for that ride. I wasn't sure I was going to get into this book as I did the others in the series but it was worth every bit of emotion that I put into it. It was a tough read for me but so worth it!!! Definitely a 5 star book!!!

Weaker

I really liked this series starting out. I mean, the idea of this club is a tad far-fetched, but I suspended reality. I really liked the scenes and the characters, but as the series keeps going, the scenes are still good, but the characters and the backstories just aren’t holding up. And that’s really a shame.

I do love this series! And all the other intricacies in the relationships that we learn are fascinating. H is for.... Has many emotional feelings to it. A couple trying to find their way either together or apart, and how their weekend retreats make them find more of themselves. Loved it!!!❤❤❤

Not sure how to review this one. It seemed like half the story when we weren't able to follow Master Khan as well, I get it but it makes it strange as Liam and Rosa worked through their part of the letter but how far did Master Khan get through the list? Seems like there was so much left unsaid but it is just basically about the game and not necessarily about those doing the list.
