Closer to 2.5 stars

The first story was pretty good but there was nothing new in the subsequent stories. The writing is mediocre with quite a few grammatical errors.

I don’t know why I read these except it seems romance is what I want these days. Sigh…

MC Heaven

Four wonderful stories - Ghost & Jenna, Hawk & Sam, Brick & Sydney, Gunner & Alix. All the former are patched in members of the Lords of Carnage, and we follow them as they deal with threats to their club and its status in Tanner Springs, and as each, in a variety of ways, meets the woman who will change their lives.
I loved all of these, Loveling writes convincingly about instalove, as well as passion overriding ingrained habits. The characters in the MC are apposite, potentially violent, often misogynistic, yet with their own code of honour and respect for the 'old ladies'.
Great series, terrific characters and lovely HEAs.

DNF beyond the 63% of the Box Set.

Did I read the same books as the 5 star reviews?
There was no spark or magic in these stories; nothing super interesting or unique to hook you in. There was also a LOT of internal rambling thinking paragraphs. And so MUCH telling and not showing. A lot of common sense sentences that weren’t needed, like explaining, “I walked over…”.
Sex scenes were so – so. A whole lot of going down on the female first.
So much smirking.
Not a lot of violence, but a little here and there.
It was a very mild, small town MC vibe.
Books 1 and 2 just STOPPED. Like you’re reading and then just BAM, it was over and moving on to the next book. So you were left thinking, oh…okay…
There’s no real plot line / story development. Tiny bit of drama in each one, but nothing really planned out or mysterious.
No cheating drama. They do have club girls.

Book 1 Jenna and Ghost
How dense does a character have to be to not do basic math or ask questions? Did NO one think to ask Jenna who or where the kids father was? Also, how did Ghost not do basic math and wonder if he was the father? You slept with Jenna roughly 5 years ago. She has a boy who’s about to turn 5….umm this didn’t throw up any flags dude? She just kept waiting and waiting to tell him also. Even after seeing how good he was with Noah.
Book 2 Samantha and Hawk
Can someone please slap both Samantha and Hawk? WHY would he subject himself to a female that is mean, snappy, b*tchy and cold to him? From the first moment they met she was snapping at him, clearly acting like she wasn’t interested and just straight up being a b*tch. I wanted to go into the book and punch her. And then it’s all he smirked at her. WTF? She’s pretty crappy attitude most of the book. And Jenna wants to be Sam’s bestie. Uh, why?
Book 3 Sydney and Brick – this is the story I finally called it quits on at 63% of the box set. This one had the same vibe as Hawk and Sam. As in, Sydney was immediately defensive and snappy cold to Brick also. Even when he was trying to help her out before they really knew each other. She was a making a horrible impression, but he’s somehow intrigued and smirking? Uh no. Go find another woman. She’s miserable. Why couldn’t she just have a conversation and keep her cool and hear him out. Someone needs anger management.
Then she’s keeping secrets and lying to him! Way to build a relationship foundation! And stuff that obviously should have been relayed to him for safety purposes. Nope. She somehow thinks she can handle stuff herself. After she kept her lying to him I decided to toss this box set back.

Only read the first book,but already wondering where all the high reviews come from...

I never trust five star 🌟 reviews because to be honest rarely is anything good enough the near perfection the five stars 🌟 the means/ represents to me....
While I know it’s all in the eye of the beholder,coz we all have/love things other ppl might see as trash but to us is a beautiful treasure,books aren’t usually like that ....
I mean they can be buuuut they usually aren’t....
Though I do feel in a bit of a quandary saying that because I recently started re reading a series that at one point ( when I first read it ) I would have given the books at least four stars ✨ when now I only wanna give three to...
And while your tastes can change ,true, weak men being walked on by demanding TSTL’s ,is NEVER gonna rate high with me...
That being said,Cas was never really walked on here and while I wouldn’t call Jenna TSTL ( too stupid to live) character,neither of them seemed overly bright...
I won’t say they were one dimensional but I honestly never felt like I got to know anyone here ....
No one seemed very bright,Jenna was yet another one of those sweet but sexy seemingly “loser”type women, where “woe is me” the world is kinda against me, I’m 24 years old w/no real skills but mixing drinks and having way too much pride ... Hey,I’m pathetic and self loathing but Hey,I’m not a charity case.... right....
We never get to know Jenna,I’m mean other than being overly prideful,having a son and mixing drinks and near constant sex w/Cas that’s all we really know about her.... and Cas ( short for Casper ) is even worse... His “ road name” is supposedly “Ghost” ( because of Casper) ( wow, a real creative stretch there) and all we know besides being in the MC and being Angel’s best friend ( Jenna’s brother ) is he can spend a month with his own son,and notice that said son feels weird just like him in nature and personality and they seem to have this odd kinship and looks and is the exact age he should be if he were the father ... and he hadn’t seen Jenna in exactly 5 years but no clue or curiosity ever arises .... only his manhood seems to do that ...
Honestly Cas just seemed like a walking cock to me,as I was reading this that was my thought more than once...
I mean all these two seem to have in common and want from each other is crazy electric sex and ok, I’ve never had that and it sounds amazing ...
Yeah ok, but, BUT not amazing enough to send off my 4 year old son with a stranger,a woman I’ve just met at the MC bar I’m tending in order to hook up w/a man I barely knew even when I first hooked up with him five years ago and I really don’t now!
Seriously ? I’m sending my kid off with a stranger to hook up w/a man who’s his sperm donor because I had too much pride to ask for his help ? But no I’m just handing my kid off to anyone to go get ..... like some cheap flooring ?

Little to no world building here or with the MC and every one here seemed to be running around clueless.... I don’t see how this MC was ever successful,Jenna and Angel’s dad was supposedly in tight w/the MC and even though they supposedly
“Ran this town” they were completely clueless about their fathers double dealing and betraying the MC,even though when the father/mayor was as desperate for a deal as he was the Pres. should have heard the alarm bells going off loud and clear ....
No, every one here ran around with out a clue and while I was glad Cas understood Jenna’s actions, I don’t feel she deserved it...
Ok, story but very thin and not much to it or the characters and both them and the MC seem to clueless and shallow to bother with the rest....
Shakes head maybe this gets better ,but I still don’t get why this has nothing but high reviews...

This four book collection is really very good. I had to stop for a little bit after the third book and read something a little different just to catch my breath. Each story is about a hard core Biker who eventually meet the woman who is the ying to his yang. Each of these women are smart and strong in their own right though at times they don’t see themselves that way. Some of the even have to go so far a doing some things that the average person would not have to face. Each of these stories are truly good and I would really like to read and see how the rest of the men of the Lords of Carnage find the one for them.

Book one is the story of Ghost (Casper or Cas) and Jenna Hunter. These two had secretly had a crush on each other but it was sort of taboo in a way. Ghost is Jenna’s brothers best friend and the VP of the Lords. The all grew up together in their small town. One night before Jenna was to set out to college once again they both gave into their desires. Almost five years later Jenna comes back to her home towne feeling defeated. She had lost her job were she was living and couldn't find anything else where she was at. She doesn’t want to ask for any financial help from her father the Mayor of the town but she does call to ask him to find her a place to stay in a certain price range; which just so happens to belong to a sleazes bag who owns the building next to his own home. The lower level is the tattoo shop the Lords us all of the time. The apartment upstairs is run down and the furniture is thread bare but it will have to do until she can find a job to support herself and her four year old son Noah.
Ghost and Jenna strike up their relationship once again. But things are not going to go so easy for them both. Jenna’s father Author the mayor had made some shady deals with the Lords in the past but the recent deal he wants to make doesn’t sit right with some of the Lords even his own son Angel the VP. Things start to go south as a rival gang is trying to move into the Lords territory the Iron Spiders and Author is mixed up in it. Can’t tell you more or I will spill the bean but it gets really intense at times.

Book Two is about Hawk McCullogh and Sam (Samantha)
Sam is a photographer. She came to Tanner Springs because her grand mother that she barely knew had asked her to come and stay with her in her grandmothers carriage house out back. It just so happens that the house is across the street from where Author Hunt used to live. Sam meets Hawk so to speak at Jenna and Ghost wedding. She is there to make a photo documentary of the day. Hawk is there playing his guitar to start the wedding and also play for when the bride makes her entrance.
Sam had come to Tanner to start her life over. She had just caught her fiancee cheating on her days before their wedding and everything around her reminded her of him thus she took up her Grandmothers offer to stay with her to help her.
Hawk doesn’t do relationships not since the death of his older brother Liam years ago. There is something about Sam that he is just drawn too. However once again the Iron Spiders are up to no good, and at one point there is a question as to whether each one of them will come out of their different circumstances alive.

Book Three Brick (Gavin) Malone and Sydney Banner the owner of the Golden Cup coffee shop. The Lords have decided that they are going to go legitimate. The new Mayor is nothing but a horses butt and the new Chief of Police doesn’t know his right hand from his left. He is primarily a puppet for the new Mayor who as declared that he is going to clean up the city. There are a series of break in around town, some of the owners have been getting hurt as the break in or robberies are happening right at closing time. The Mayor was trying to blame the Lords on what was going on but they had nothing to do with it. Instead the Lord’s took it upon themselves to start going to the owners of the rest of the shops check on their security and began driving around at night to try and stop what was going on. Their suspicion is that the Spiders are behind it all. This is when Brick had noticed Sydney working late one night by herself clean up after closing the shop all by herself. He had been in her shop during the daytime and they a struck up a friendship of sorts but seeing her so vulnerable even though she didn’t see it that was made him see red. He took it upon himself to make sure that she stayed safe.
Sydney had a secrete of her own that no one knew about, and his name is Devon. She had left Florida and came to Tanner Springs to start over just like the other ladies but her reasons were completely different. She thought she was safe until Devon started to send her text on a phone he shouldn’t have had the number to. With Brick have to do so much with the Lords and their problems with the Spiders she didn’t want to worry him; until it was almost too late for her. How is Brick going to react when he finds out what she has been hiding and how will the Lords handle the Spiders.

Book Four is about is about Gunner Storgaard and Alix Andrea Collins.
These two meet under bad circumstances. She is at a biker bar the Smiling Skull trying to talk to this guy named Gonzola Medina; he had take off with her older sister Eden several months ago right after their mother passed away from brain cancer. They were living in Virginia at the time just barely scraping by when the three of them were working together. Eden and her mom had always butted heads together. The she disappeared with this guy. Now he wont tell Alix anything about her sister. When she set her beer down to go to the restroom Gonzola slips a dug into her beer. Beast, Thorn and Gunner had arrived at the bar and were sitting drinking and talking. Gunner was watching this beautiful young woman that looked like she had not business being in a bar like this. He watched as she fought with the guy and the left for the restroom. While she was gone Gunner saw Gonzola slip the Ruffie into her drink, and it total ticked him off. This is when he approached the guy and started to beat the crap out of him. Alix came out not knowing what was going on drank her beer that was drugged while watching the fight. Once it was over Gunner grabbed her dragged her to the restroom and told her to make herself throw up to get the drug out of her. She did but didn’t get enough out. Gunner took her to her motel room where she passed out. Worried about her he stayed and watched over her. This is where their story begins. Will they be able to find her sister in time? What will happen after they find her.

Love this series
Ghost
Cas & Jenna have secretly always wanted each other and one night before she leaves for college they gave a night that will change their lives forever. Secrets always have a way of coming out and Henba can't keep her secret anymore now that she is coming back to town. Cas can't get Jenna out of his head and the feelings are mutual. I really enjoyed Cas & Jenna together, their story flowed good and was glad that Cas didn't exploded once he found out what Jenna was hiding and was very understanding. Perfect ending for Cas & Jenna. Hoping their will be another book, hopefully Angel's story.

Hawk

Absolutely loved Hawk & Samantha. I absolutely love a good MC book and once I started reading I didn't want to stop. Hawk wants Samantha but knows that she deserves better but when a war is coming he wants Samantha for one night hopefully more. I liked how Hawk and Samantha are together and the ending was so sweet. Hoping there will be more books in this series hopefully Angel's story.

Brick
Absolutely love Brick. I was hooked from the start. Brick never thought he would ever be in a relationship but then he meet Sydney and she changed his mind. But both have pasts that could ruin their future. Sydney & Brick are so good together and so hot & sexy that I couldn't stop reading. I love this series and all the characters that there is no doubt that I would love this book. I'm so hoping that Angel's story is next. Another amazing read 5 star read.

Gunner
This series gets better and better. I love a good MC book and this series is addicting. Alix is desperately trying too find her sister and never thought she would meet Gunner who rescued her from being drugged. Gunner knew the moment he seen Alix that no one could ever compare to her, but tried to stay away. But the heart wants what the heart wants and they both want each other. I love Alix and Gunner together and of course seeing the other characters and what they are up too. I hoping Angel's story will be next. Another amazing read that you won't be able too put down.

Lords of Carnage MC, BOX SETH Books 1-4. OMG! HOT

Book 1 is Ghost, Casper Watkins and Jenna Abbott's story. It is the introduction to the Lords of Carnage MC. Book 2 is Hawk, Hawk McCollough and Samantha Jennings story. Hawk looks right through Samantha's camera lens straight to her heart. Book 3 is Brick, Brick Malone and Sydney Banner's story. Syd knows what the odds are in most any hand but she's convinced that the house usually wins but that's before she meets Brick. Book 4 is Gunner, Gunner Storgaard and Alix Cousins' story. She came to find her missing sister but found the love and family she wanted more than anything.
The men of the Lords of Carnage are brothers and family. When they meet the women that steal their hearts there is nothing they won't do to keep them safe.
I love Daphne Loveling stories, alpha bikers and the kickass ladies of Lords of Carnage series. There are no cliffhangers but I strongly recommend reading the books in the order written as each book starts where the previous one ended. In this Box Set there is a bonus epilogue at the end of each book. Sooooo good. Thank you Daphne for sharing your characters and their stories with us.

He doesn't want anything serious but when he and his brother's are at the pub he sees a woman in need of help.

Alix is out looking for her sister Eden, when she gets assistance from Gunner who is part of the Lords MC is there anything between them as there is heat and chemistry can he help her find her sister.

Overall each book this box set was an O.k read.

Each book deals with a different couple and includes continuing "Club" drama throughout.
A variety of typical MC book themes are touched on but I never felt truly connected or emotionally invested. Each book is quick to read, so it was easy to move onto the next one.

Daphne definitely excels at writing the steamy scenes and is able to make the couples chemistry at least leap off the page.

The main issue for me is that I need continuity. The timeline in and between books was all over the place and there were other moments where within a chapter something occured that was a contridiction to what had already happened.

I was in two minds at first of buying the next book set but I decided to do it because overall I did get the escape from these stories that I am looking for whenever I open a book.

I like all the stories in this box set, although I have to say that I enjoyed Brick and Gunner's stories the best! The writing flows very well, and all of these men are alphas, so be ready to have men who defend their women. The chemistry between all the couples is great, but if I had to pick a favorite couple it would be Gunner and Alix. They were great together and Alix was a strong h. All these stories have HEAs, and you get to see little glimpses into the other couples in the later books. All in all, you can't beat this set for the price!

I really enjoyed this boxset. MC romance is always a go to genre for me and this series has not disappointed.
Ghost and Jenna was a second chance romance that saw them reuniting several years after they first got together. This was a couple that was meant to be.
Hawk was a man consumed with guilt about the death of his brother and Samantha is the perfect person to bring him out of that darkness.
Brick and Sydney were a chance meeting that led to lost at first sight.
Gunner was the hero that Alix never knew she needed. I loved their story.
When the men of the Lords of Carnage find what they want, the stop at nothing to get it. Including the women they want.

Great 4.5 star MC series
I wanted to give it 5 stars but it needs to be re-edited.

All around it’s a box set of 4 hot steamy stories about the feisty ladies and their Alpha Bikers of the Lords of Carnage MC.
Every story just drew you in more and more. I just wish the author would have had more interaction with the MC as a whole. You get to meet some of the guys in each book but there isn’t much on what the club is doing and it’s all about the couple of that book. I like to read about the other club members and woman also.

Now to read the rest of the series.

Interesting series

Great writing and so glad to see that most of the damsels in distress are not all dumb 20 somethings blondes with blue eye. Reading this series has become almost like watching family grow together and being a part of it for a little while. I can’t wait to see the next strong MC lord fall and read his story. Smoking hot “romance” keeps things interesting. A great series if you like hot alpha guys and the iron horses they ride in on to save the day. Happy reading.

Easy Reading MC Steamy Romances!!🔥💘

This Box Set of MC romances is not full of hard core murder & mayhem. Any that occurs is dealt with quickly & without much detail. It's much more about the 'Brother's' falling for their women & the journey each of them takes to become a couple!!💙💘

The steam level is high!!🔥🔥🔥 Thankfully it's not too repetitive, as can happen when you read one book after another 👍 The characters are likeable, on the whole, thankfully.

An enjoyable, steamy read!!🌟

This was a really great set of books. I chose this rating because I really enjoyed these books. I enjoyed most of the characters as well. I really like the way the men in these books protected and helped the women that they love. Or were falling in love with. The MC would do anything and mostly everything to protect the one that they love and keep them safe. This set of books were really interesting. Great read. I recommend these books to all romance readers.

Lords of Carnage...yes! Every story was filled with dirty bikers that had heart and completely smitten with their old lady! I loved the way that each couple met and fell in love. It wasn't completely ruthless but told that tale that looks can be deceiving. I can't wait to continue with the next batch of bikers!

The Lords of Carnage is the local motorcycle club in Tanner Springs. It basically runs this town, and what it doesn’t directly run, it controls by influence —through protection deals it has with local businesses, or connections under the table with the local city government.

Loved the box set and continual story threads. Daphne continued to introduce new characters and doesn’t forget the old ones. She is building anticipation of the underlying plot concerning Rock’s presidency of club. Each character gets a HEA without to much torture along the path. The series is a good read.

Holy cow one good read after another!!

Read these first 4 books couldn't get enough of the characters in The Lord's of Carnage. Sexy, steamy, romantic, funny and dad too. Lots of scary scene too!! Like to read about Motorcycle clubs then these are for you . Totally recommend with 5 Stars

Good series

I read Beast a while back and decided i needed more.
The stories are relatively short and sweet. There is an ongoing story of the club itself as well as the individual love connections. The sexy times are indeed sexy! The characters are interesting and varied.
I'm sure I'll get the second part of this boxed set soon!

A wonderful series

This 4 book series is wonderful. I give each book 5 stars. This will keep you reading and when you finished off the first 4 you are going to want the whole series. The characters have so much chemistry and the story has a smooth follow for the first page to the last.

This book is full of action, romance, danger and full of twist and turns that pull you in right from the first book.
Ghost, Hawk, Brick, and Gunner and their fiery, sassy women Jenna, Sam, Sydney and Alix will have you on the edge of your seat and wanting from these guys and the Lords. Can't wait to read more from this author.

MC LIFE

What an exciting adventure it is to be in the MC life. I loved this boxed set so much. It's got drama, violence, uncertainty, darkness and so much love between the brothers and their old ladies. Not to mention the kiddos. You need to get involved with this author. Shes truly amazing

The books just got better and better. I'm looking forward to reading more of the series. There are good MC books and way too many not so good MC books. This series is definitely on the Most Be Read MC list.
