Great English/Spanish book about dinosaurs - love the art! Still trying to understand why dinos are so popular with small children; I have to believe there is a PhD dissertation there somewhere for someone who wanted to look deeper into it. As far as it pertains to me dino books help me 'center' when my reading gets too heavy.

V really enjoyed Daddy reading this to her. Daddy did think one of the pictures in the book was slightly inappropriate but I think he is just dirty minded.

Grade level: birth to 1st grade.
Summary: It is a follow the leader story filled with large and small dinosaur characters. The dinosaurs actively stomp, jump, and roar through some of the pages in the book. The dinosaurs are lined up according to height, with the largest as the leader then the order reverses.
.
Review: I like this book because children can see and read the few words in bold and read with a reader's voice to say the action words. Children can also see how each dinosaur navigates through the same experience but in its own way. This book is full of color. Children can follow the characters by just looking at the pictures. It is sure to make children giggle.
Possible uses: This book could be incorporated in the classroom when discussing numerical order or when talking about beginning sounds.

I have the bilingual edition of this book, and I love it! This can really get the students involved by having them follow the actions of the dinosaurs on each page. Definitely a book for very beginners.

A glorious follow-the-leader pciture book with simple text and bright, bold illustrations. A great read-aloud which demands acting it out.
