Koncept ciekawy, ale większość wydarzeń tak niewiarygodna, że nie dało się tego czytać na poważnie. Tak nie wygląda opieka nad noworodkiem, za dużo tu dziwnych elementów, które są znaczące w fabule i jednocześnie nie kleją się kupy.

Content warnings for abortion, adultery, somewhat graphic art, fat shaming, and childbirth

I was really impressed with this graphic novel! It’s definitely for adults based on the subject matter (see trigger warnings). I thought the storyline was cohesive and made sense, which can be a problem with graphic novels and comics sometimes. I requested this particular book for review because of the darker subject matter intertwining two women’s lives. I enjoyed the complexity of the decisions of the two women and how they impacted each other, even though they don’t know each other. I don’t want to spoil it too much because the description sums up exactly what you need to know before jumping in!

A bit of a strange story told in a very nice simple art style.
I liked the clear lines and the lack of clearly defined panels, as well as awkward dialogues. The ending was a bit silly though.

Serio? Kobieta rodzi w przymierzalni małego sklepu z ciuchami i nikt nie zauważył? Potem inna opiekuje się noworodkiem, którego trzyma na zapleczu, nie widząc go przez całe noce i część dni, a on tam sobie po prostu czeka? I ja mam nie buchnąć śmiechem? Żeby nie było, rozumiem mniej więcej jakie jest przesłanie. Mężczyźni bywają zbyt egoistyczni, a czasami po prostu nie ma w nich wystarczającej empatii, by pojąć potrzeby i zagubienie kobiet. Ja to wszystko rozumiem i popieram, ale po co tu te sceny podmywania, krwawienia, wymiotów? Czy gorszą? Nie, ale nie wiem po co. Tak samo nie wiem dlaczego autorka nie mogła treści skonsultować z kimś kto urodził, opiekował się noworodkiem i w ogóle trochę bardziej ogarnia temat.

Przeczytałam już jakiś czas temu i „ze wzruszeń pozostało mi wzruszenie ramion”. Niby fajny temat - kobieta znajduje świeżo urodzone dziecko w przebieralni, w sklepie, który prowadzi i postanawia je zatrzymać i doglądać go w tym sklepie (tu widziałam zarzuty, że autorka chyba nie wie, jak wygląda opieka nad noworodkiem i że tak się nie da... nie sądzę, żeby tu chodziło o jakikolwiek realizm i myślę, że jednak autorka wie). Historia sprzedawczyni przeplata się z historią matki dziecka, a pomiędzy stoi beznadziejny mężczyzna uosabiający odbierający kobietom szczęście patriarchat (to taka moja interpretacja). No i niby fajnie, ale jakoś do niczego ta historia nie prowadzi. Może chciałam, żeby nastąpiła jakaś kobieca rewolucja, żeby stało się coś co mnie wzruszy i poruszy. A nic takiego się nie stało i mimo, że chciałam, to niczego nie poczułam i uleciała ze mnie ta historia zaraz po tym jak przewróciłam ostatnia stronę.

I like the art style, I also think the elements of the story weave well together, how the story is gradually revealing itself is well thought, that said the story itself is cliché and pretty stereotypical for female characters. It's enjoyable enough but nothing to remember. I also do think a couple of events in the story were misguided in the way they were portrayed. I wish there was more thoughts put into them and what they convey.

Ohne ihre Panels in einengende Rahmen zu stecken, erzählt Anna Sommer in dem Comic "Das Unbekannte" von Frauen, die in ihrem Leben vor schwierigen Entscheidungen und Problemen stehen. Leichte Striche auf weissem Grund, die Bilder greifen ineinander, die Erzählung selbst ist verschlungen.

Auch wenn Einiges zu unrealistisch erscheint, macht die Lektüre Spass und besonders die Gesichter des Babys und des Hundes sind sehr amüsant gestaltet.

A surrealist story about a woman who can't have children finding a child, one who doesn't want children becoming pregnant, connected by the same repugnant man. Logistics are not spoken, absurd situations but somehow are plausible. Another example of how life is thought about and how it actually presents itself.

Лаконично нарисованная и расказанная история женщины в момент выбора - партнёр или ребёнок, договорённости или импульсы. Ну и второй слой, о котором она не знает, а мы знаем - что с партёром этим совсем неладно. Довольно гадостная, в целом, история, но, как сказано в её аннотации - про манипуляции и ложь- наверное и не может быть иначе.

इस पुस्तक का विवरण करना दु:साध्य है - पता नहीं किसी और को कैसे समझाया जा सकता है।

चित्रण कुछ हद तक घृणोत्पादक हैं - किसी विकृत बेडौल से स्त्री शरीर को उसके मूलभूत भाव में देखना बहुत ही दुष्कर कार्य है!

कहानी में कुछ पेंच हैं जो अंत में जाकर उजागर होते हैं।
