I found this review, and a few others. Some hated it, some liked it. It is definitely an ugly take on GW. I didn’t realize where this book was coming from, before today. Wow.

Here is a positive take on it:

Woodward's insights into human nature go a long way to explain why America is the way it is. Our founding father was cold-blooded. More like a snake than a human. Woodward does for Washington what the sculptor did for Ozymandias.

Here is a negative take:

I only purchased this book to study it and refute it. It is quoted by some as a source about G. Washington but this work has no specific references to back up its claims. Claims made about G.W. in 1926 that have no basis in historical fact.
