I could not wait for this book to come out! It was well worth the wait. This is the third and what seems like the final installment of the series. I love that we get a whole book from Pennys perspective and then get to read the story again from Ian's. This book was the perfect closure and story for the series. I loved reading how Penny and Ian's relationship evolved and how they faced their struggles. This book had moments that made me laugh out loud and get teary eyed. I was just really happy for the both of them through out this book. I cant wait to read Ian's story next!

It wasn't a perfect book, and the characters were sometimes a bit much to take. It was, however, funny and endearing. I do wish that when Abigail created younger characters, she didn't make them so...helpless. They're almost unable to breathe without someone telling them it's ok.

I do love being able to see both sides of the story. It’s incredible to read his side and then hers and realize just how radically different they are.

I CANNOT EVEN!! I have saved the two latest books in the By the Numbers series since they came out and I finally caved and read Penny's book after rereading her part of Second Chance.

Abigail Barnette is one of my favorite authors and I adore Ian and Penny.

I really appreciated the development the characters and their relationship throughout the series and in this book as Penny really starts to come to terms with a lot about herself and the dynamic of the her marriage.

I laughed out loud about the shark. 🦈

Honestly, I hate books about pregnancy and babies. I only bought and read this because I love the author. Despite it not being my thing at all, I’m rating it highly because the author does an amazing job of writing from two perspectives without it being boring. Also, the relationship stuff is, like in all her books, realistic and well-done.
