In questa nuova avventura troviamo le nostre amate principesse alle prese con i preparativi per l'incontro con i genitori, Samah la più grande delle sorelle vuole fare bella figura con il padre e la madre, e cerca in tutti i modi, di mettere in riga le sorelle più piccole, ma non tutto va secondo i piani.
Il regalo che ha pensato per la mamma si rivela un disastro, i biscotti preparati da Kalea per il papà, non si sa come diminuiscono causa "regalo inaspettato da parte di Kalea per il principe Alexander", l'armadio di Diamante è tutto in disordine e Yara la sorella minore non si trova da nessuna parte.
Un po' preoccupate per quest'ultima le 4 sorelle la cercano in ogni angolo dell'accademia ma senza nessun risultato, alla fine decidono di andare a cercarla nel bosco vicino, ma anche lì nessuna traccia di Yara, ma l'incontro inaspettato di Mira, la sua lince, le preoccupa. L'animale riporta delle brutte ferite, a causa di uno strano incendio divampato nel bosco, ma prima ancora che le ragazze prendano l'iniziativa di andare a cercare Yara nel bosco, i loro ciondoli magici si illuminano. Questo può significare solo una cosa "il regno d'incanto è nuovamente minacciato dalla magia oscura di EGOR"
- Alden ci stà chiamando! - disse Samah.
- Credi che lui sappia dove si trova Yara? - chiese Diamante con voce tremante.
- Lo scopriremo presto. Forza corriamo alla stanza dei segreti.

De 4de zus is aan de beurt, zeg hoi tegen Samah.
Ik vind deze boeken echt heerlijk, al vraag ik me af hoe lang ze nog doorgaan, het verhaal is wel een beetje hetzelfde. Elk boek heeft een andere zus (dus nog een te gaan), we zien het leven op de school, en dan gebeurd er iets, de meiden moeten de wereld weer redden, en met behulp van hun bond/band redden ze de dag. Plus, elk boek heeft weer een wijze les voor de zus die de hoofdpersoon is. Dus ik ben benieuwd, zal alles aflopen met de laatste zus? Want ondanks dat het een standaard formule is per boek kan ik toch niet stoppen met lezen.
Ditmaal is dus Samah aan de beurt, de oudste zus van de 5 en ze heeft haar handen maar vol aan haar zussen. Ze waarderen haar niet altijd want ze probeert gewoon de orde te houden. Echt, zonder haar zouden haar zussen waarschijnlijk in pure chaos leven. :P
Ik wist al snel dat het oudere zus en verantwoordelijkheden een van de thema's van dit boek zou worden, en ik had gelijk. Ik vond het wel erg leuk geschreven het geeft toch iets extras aan het verhaal.
Maar Igor heeft dit keer ook een truukje! Niet alleen een hele coole (nou ja, hete) cirkel van vuur die alles zal verteren als de meiden niet snel zijn, maar hij heeft blijkbaar nu ook een leerling. Oh jee! Ik vond het erg spannend om te lezen wat deze leerling van plan was en het gevecht dat volgde tegen de leerling en zijn truukjes waren goed geschreven, ik wist natuurlijk wel hoe alles zou eindigen, maar dan nog spannend en leuk om te lezen.
Ik vond het ook fijn om weer eens de ouders te zien, al blijft het magisch hoe deze meiden dochters van hen zijn. :P
Hilarisch genoeg verteld het verhaal ons dat de flacon/fles erg klein is. Maar als we de illustraties moeten geloven dan is hij gewoon een normale maat.
Natuurlijk is het boek weer gevuld met bergen illustraties en ik vond ze over het algemeen erg leuk!
Hopelijk wordt boek 5 snel vertaald, ik wil weten hoe het verhaal verder gaat.

Bringing my reviews of this series to an unfortunate early close because they stopped translating the books into Dutch. Ah well, not a huge loss.
The positives: I like Samah and her (albeit simple) arc, it was sweet to see and she's a good characters. I also liked the fact that Egor has an .
But my negative points also remain largely the same: These books are too simplistic and especially formulaic, four books in and each of them following roughly the same structure of events. Worse yet, our main characters, despite being the sworn protectors of Incanto, refuse to be proactive in seeking out Egor and defeating him. Instead they just counteract his evil spells. Since these are our protagonists, our heroes, you'd expect them to start seeking out Egor to defeat him for good so he can do no more harm to the realm, but they don't. They just let him do his evil and counteract his spells when needed. Doesn't exactly make the girls look competent as protectors of the realm and all that.
Overall this series so far has been simple and fun, but I'd just have liked a bit more quality of the writing and variation in the plots. And let our protagonists actually be proactive instead of reactive.
