Forced against her will to attend a summer camp for sick children, Lizzie Miller is already expecting to have a bad time. But when she discovers that Camp Everbee has been used to dump toxic waste from a hospital, she realizes that forced cheeriness and paddling excursions are the least of her problems.
Something deadly is lurking in the forest at Camp Everbee, something that has already begun to infect new hosts. Soon, Lizzie and her new friends are facing a fight for their lives. As the infestation spreads, however, it quickly becomes clear that Camp Everbee might just end up being the first stage of a terrifying new organism that wants nothing less than total world domination.

An excellent sequel to the Ward Z series. At the very first chapter, you are thrown into the danger of the Zombie Cancer and just how far it has progressed since the first book. The imagery, as always for Amy Cross, is vivid, and character interactions are fun to follow. Looking forward to the third book in the series!
Easily the worst Amy Cross book i have read. My main issue with the book is that it is packed so full of Americanisms and feels so American that it is a bit of an uncomfortable jolt to be reminded every couple of chapters that it is actually set in the UK. I also felt that most of the characters were a bit flat with the only thing we really learn about many of them is that they have cancer. The basic plot has the germ of a good idea but i found i rapidly lost interest in it so i was hoping that it was going to end shortly after the half way mark only to find that it dragged on and on. Finally, i seem to remember there were some glaring inaccuracies regarding medical waste and 'sharps' storage and disposal (at least in the UK). Usually, even when i am occasionally disappointed with this authors books i can still enjoy them on some level but not with this one. Badly done Amy Cross.
Terror at Camp Everbee by Amy Cross is such a good book. A camp for teens, all of which have cancer of some kind, turns into an adventure they never expected and it's an interesting one. The story is good and the characters are believable and all know about their health problems, but are determined to make the best of this camp. You should read it, I think you will enjoy it.
The Ward Z series continues with the frightening fun located at Camp Everbee. Cancer patients are suddenly made aware that they are being consumed by a living, breathing and intelligent tumor.
