Pretty decent guidebook that covers much of Thailand's attractions. I even carried it to Laos because it provides useful details on how to cross the Thai - Lao border at Nong Khai into Vientiane. Unfortunately it doesn't have info on crossing the Thai - Malaysian border at Padang besar so for that I'm deducting half a star.

Another half star deducted for not covering great attractions in Bangkok such as Pratunam market and Little Arab (Nana) which happily for me were suggested by Bangkokian friends. And what curious places they are!

Also, wish the maps would be printed within the pages on slightly thicker glossier paper so they could withstand extra abuse (scribbling etc).

But overall this book is great for a trip across Thailand especially if used together with Nancy Chandler's famous maps. Bonus marks for the back section that covers history + geography of Thailand. Informative read for long bus/train journeys.
