Accidentally engaged. Then he dared me to make it real.
It was one freaking kiss with a stranger. I wasn't looking for a hero the day Brent Eden charged into my life. He saw a damsel in distress facing humiliation. We played pretend. Swore I was his. Baited sweet chaos. Blew apart everything.
My dating disaster? Gone. Our kiss? Electric. Divine. Toe-curling. His mistake? Oh, boy. Dropping the ultimate F-bomb: fiancé. Especially when my gossipy cousin tells the whole family.
Forget how he's badass personified. The ink. The leather. The abs. The smirk. The lightning eyes and the growl I can't resist. Nothing changes the fact that he's my favorite student's father. I'm risking it all for this charade. And I'm losing.
The closer we get, the deeper I fall. The louder he vows to protect me. The more we come undone. Even my questions have questions. What if I'm not the only one who needs saving? What if our marriage mistake gets way too real?
From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow - two hearts, one lie, and no mercy! Plus a damaged single dad who just can't let his Not Fiancée go. Full length romance novel with everything Happily Ever Afters are made of.
Nicole Snow is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author. She found her love of writing by hashing out love scenes on lunch breaks and plotting her great escape from boardrooms. Her work roared onto the indie romance scene in 2014 with her Grizzlies MC series.
Since then Snow aims for the very best in growly, heart-of-gold alpha heroes, unbelievable suspense, and swoon storms aplenty.
Current fan favorites include her Enguard Protectors series, accidental love novels, plus long beloved MC romance thrillers like the Grizzlies and Deadly Pistols.
I just cannot stand it anymore; she is a doormat virgin, he is an as*hole of epic proportions who has been with tons of women because he is an ex biker. And the whole book is out of focus: Is it a fake-boyfriend romance, a thriller/suspense book or a forbidden romance between student's parent & teacher? You never know; there is a bit of everything in it.
I feel as if all my life-energy has been sucked out of me so I really won't bother to write a review.
Here's an awesome review that translates to all my feelings about the book. I just wish I had seen and read it earlier...
I didn’t get what I was expecting with this one. Judging by the blurb, I thought I was getting a cute, lightly angsty fake boyfriend romance. I love fake boyfriend romance. Thought there might be some comedy involved. What I got instead was a fake boyfriend, biker, former military, single-dad, artist, alphahole sexfest-that-turns-to-instalove where all the problems that occur could’ve been avoided through adult conversation. (But on the other hand, I’m glad the hero wasn’t also a Navy Seal rockstar, because THAT would’ve been over-the-top cliche instead of just annoyingly cliche like this hero was.)
Here’s what went wrong for me:
Alphahole alert: Brent is a rude asshole for more than half the book. He pretty much treats the heroine like crap, drags her into a fake relationship, then lies to her about his reasons for dragging her into a fake relationship, never letting her know that she’s in danger just for associating with him. And he totally blows off her concerns about losing her job for fraternizing with a parent by calling her dream job “just a teaching job”. His implication that her job isn’t important and she should just do what he wanted her to do made me want to nut-punch him. (The fact that he’s trying to protect her from his family mess by being a supremely bossy a-hole doesn’t make me want to nut-punch him any less.)
Another virgin. Sigh: Yep. Izzy is a virgin. It wasn’t a big deal in the story, so I didn’t see the point of it. Are we to assume that if she’d had more sexual experience she wouldn’t be worthy of her HEA with Brent? (Brent, who admittedly had TONS of sex with motorcycle club groupies, by the way.) Bullshit meter: There were quite a few times when my bullshit meter was tripped while reading this story:
1. I find it hard to believe that the school would fold so easily on their policies based on one rude father’s threats. Brent didn’t have any real power over them. I don’t think any school principal would have cowered like the one in this story did just because Brent threw around some threats about taking his daughter out of the school.
2. Izzy is barely 23 and has her master’s degree. Something seems a little off about that.
3. Izzy has, like, 3 orgasms the first time she has sex and isn’t at all sore the next day. Yeah...that doesn’t happen, no matter how much of a magic dick the hero has. (And don’t even get me started on the fact that she “felt something tear” then all the pain and discomfort went away, replaced by pleasure. Again...no. It doesn’t happen like that.)
4. In the course of this story, Izzy transforms from virgin pre-school art teacher to gun-toting badass. The transition is less than believable and happens SUPER quick. Izzy isn’t at all mad when she finds out that Brent has been hiding crap from her that put her life in danger. Either she’s an idiot, or a doormat. I’m not sure which option I find more offensive.
A stuffed book: This is yet another example of a stuffed book where the expected content ends at about 40% of the story, and the rest of the content is extraneous crap I didn’t ask for. I HATE it when that happens.
At the end of the day, I give this one 2 stars. 1 star for Natalie, Brent’s daughter, who was adorable, and 1 star for the fact that it wasn’t so poorly written I wasn’t able to finish it. (I’ve had WAY too many DNFs lately, so I don’t take the fact that I was able to finish reading this lightly) But that’s about all the positives I can muster on this one.
I was between 3 and 4 stars for this book. At the end I decided to give it 4 stars.
What I like about this book is: - The characters. It starts with insta lust then the author takes it very seriously to develop character developement to finally reach that I love you phase. Izzy and Bren gone through a lot to deserve each other. Especially Bren's past.
- The sex scenes are very beautiful. It takes my breath away listening to the part when Izzy and Bren finally consumate their atrraction. The fact that Izzy is virgin is actually make it more perfect.
What I do not like/ the part I find needs improvement is: - The plot. The pacing is too slow. Dragging in my opinion. There is too many self conversation for the character.
"I’ve seen hundreds of good-looking women naked in the contraband passed around in the motorcycle club and the army. Bedded dozens in the flesh." 🤮
There's just too much reminders about him being a manhoe that I could take and I've reached my limit. Brent was an asshole to Izzy and he doesn't give a shit about her teaching job. He invaded her privacy, forced her into a fake dating, bulldoze his ways into her life without thinking about the repercussions of his actions if the school found out she's "dating" a student's parent. He never listened to Izzy's reasons, maybe it's supposed to be his alpha thing, but this attitude only annoys the shit out of me. Another, frustrating thing is that Izzy's a freaking virgin, why does she have to be like that? Their first time was infuriating because he got so smug that he was her first, I mean ewww dude. 🤢
Tbf, Brent is mid-thirties and Izzy is 23. He's also a single father to a 10 year old girl, the mother is no longer in the picture, she died birthing her. He was a manhoe before having Natalie (his daughter) and he was so freaking proud fucking around. Natalie's mother was his on/off again girlfriend, and he said he slept with women before her and whenever they were in the off again page. Cue gagging sounds! 🤮
However, according to his POV in the present time, he hasn't gotten laid for a long time, don't know how long he's talking about. But it still grated my nerves whenever he reminisce his previous lifestyle. Just fuck no, man! 🤦♀️
This one was ok. I'm not sure if this was a debut or not, but it had some good moments, as well as some really cheesy ones. I did find the romance to be cute, but it was super rushed when it finally happened. It almost felt like the author had forgotten it was supposed to be there and then rushed it.
This was my first book by this author, and I'm intrigued enough to see if the writing gets better.

From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow – two hearts, one lie, and no mercy! Plus a damaged single dad who just can't let his Not Fiancée go. Full length romance novel with everything Happily Ever Afters are made of.
I love a good single dad story!! This one was okay but it seemed to lag in some areas, but I did like the characters.
Brent Eden is a single dad who is very protective and devoted to his precocious young daughter Natalie. Natalie is a sweet, caring, and an academically gifted child. Izzy is her art teacher at the prestigious academy Natalie attends, they have a great relationship and Natalie would love nothing more than to have Izzy in her and her Dads lives.
Izzy has some meddling relatives and seems to have her very own stalker. Brent is burdened by his brother's death and must come to terms with some reality’s. Brent & Izzy have passion and chemistry that goes from a slow burn to red hot!!
If you like alphas, single dads, suspense, and a HEA you’ll enjoy this book.
Kindle freebie. I check goodreads ratings before starting a book and y’all rated this book high. I don’t get it. It was awful. I should have quit awful. The “hero” was too caveman like with the people in his life. And the storyline about the gang was way too over the top.
This is one of those books that reminds me that while I rarely quit a book, there really are times that I should.
Nice sex scenes. Not really into the rest of it tho. Writing is just not that engaging. Fast-paced, but not really engaging. Plot too simple. Don't like the random flashbacks. Prob won't read this author again.
Accidental Hero is the first book in Nicole Snow’s Marriage Mistake Series. I’m fairly new to Nicole’s books and enjoyed it for the most part. The story started off strong. There was an instant connection between the two main characters Izzy and Brent that gripped me immediately. Where this fell short for me was in the middle. The story is heavily focused on the suspenseful part of story and I found that there was a lot of push and pull that was somewhat drawn out and could have been balanced a little better. I was impressed in the end as the author pulls it together in the end with a beautiful ending and epilogue. Brent is a single dad to Natalie. He is a wonderful father. He doesn’t have time for relationships until meeting Izzy. The only problem is she is his daughters teacher which makes her off limits. I loved Brent. He is hugely protective and has a really sweet/softer side when it comes to those he loves. Izzy has been drawn to Brent from the moment he walked into her classroom to pick up his daughter. Who is also her favourite student. He is off limits but she cannot help her attraction to him. This book is packed with sweet tender moments, suspense and emotion and I am looking forward to reading more books in the series.
Nicole Snow always surprise me. Once again she has wrote a very hot, steamy, romance story that will make you want more.
Brent Eden was this sexy bad boy who was trying to do what was right. He wanted to be an example for his daughter. He had a dangerous past and unfortunate danger had came his way with no fault of his own.
I found Izzy very interesting. She was a woman with a big heart. Here she was trying to live her dream. She had always wanted to be an art teacher and now she was getting to do that even though it was being a substitute. I love the passion she had for what she did.
I loved that Natalie which was Brent’s daughter was brought into the story so much. I love we got to see what type of dad Brent was. I love we got to see the little girl who had just as much passion as her teacher. As the story went on we got to see her blossom some.
I laughed so hard when it came to Izzy’s family. Her cousin was more funny then Izzy’s mother. I love how we got to see how protective Brent was of Izzy when it came to her family. Not all her family was kind. I could see why Izzy avoided them as much as she did.
My heart broke for Brent when it came to the loss of his brother. He had so many unanswered questions and I found that so sad. I hated how he beat himself up all the time for his brother’s death.
There was a lot of hot steamy parts. I truly could not get enough and so glad I got a chance to read the book.
An Amazing compelling storyline that's well written, fast-paced and exciting. It's a story that is intense, emotional, has action, romance, funny, steamy hot chemistry and a great supporting cast of characters including Izzy's crazy family keeping things interesting page after page. Izzy is a preschool teacher and one night a week music teacher. Brent a bad boy single tattooed father with ties to the Grizzlies MCs. After dropping his daughter off with Izzy she has a altercation with an unexpected visitor and Brent rescues her. Now he decides to be her protector, but with ulterior motives? One click now you won't be disappointed.

Not even sure where to start, this was a fantastic book. I love it from beginning to end. The characters were fantastic. The world Nicole created in this book was so easy to get lost in and a small trip down memory lane (if you have read some of her previous book series). I was definitely happy to see a glimpse of past characters from other series Nicole has written.
This book was packed full of turns at ever corner and just the right amount of steam. You definitely will not go wrong with this read!
Wow! Loved it! From the very beginning I was hooked. The characters are amazing and there are several different plot lines going. Constantly keeps you guessing at what’s really going on. The chemistry was off the charts and the passion heats of the pages. Can’t wait for more!
Overall I liked this book. It had romance and action. Things in Brent's past come in to light. Which is why Brent spends a lot of time trying to protect Izzy. Of course they fall for each other. Thankfully in the end everything works out and they get a HEA.

Accidental Hero is my first book that I have read by Nicole Snow & I really enjoyed it. We have the smouldering looks from single dad ex MC member & military man Brent Eden & the lovely girl next door preschool/art teacher Isabella 'Izzy/Blue' Derby, who teachers art as an after school activity where 10 yrs old Natalie attends, who's a quiet child who doesn't socialise with her peers due to her advance in her academics & has jumped up a few class grades, but she does have a unique connection with Izzy. So we see how these 2 connect & where Brent goes in without thinking in rescuing her from a real arrogant douchebag. And it's from then on we see how their lives start to change & join together, even though Brent wants her but then again doesn't want her involved in his life due to his past. There's lots of heated scenes both in & out of the bedroom. A FANTASTIC HEA 😘😘😘

ACCIDENTAL HERO by Nicole Snow is an emotional yet humorous fake fiancé story. One that has a push/pull between the main characters. Izzy and Brent have an instant and intense attraction when they first meet that each struggles to deny. Brent is an overprotective , sexy, alpha hero who is kind of a jerk at times but what a sexy jerk he is. Izzy is a sweet, kind, sassy heroine and I liked how she didn’t let Brent mow over her and gave as good as she got. Their story has plenty of drama, tons of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat literally until the very end which makes for the best kind of romance read. The chemistry between the MC is sizzling and sparks tons. I loved the heat that they threw off. Will they end up with an HEA or not. Best way to find out is to give this a read.
My Rating: 4.7 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
I haven't read a book by Nicole Snow in a long time. This sounded so good, I got it and started reading. Couldn't put it down. Brent and Isabella are perfect together although it takes them some time to get together. Add in the family stuff and then some danger and intrigue and you have a story that is really good. The characters were all written very well and the story was easy to follow. I love seeing how kick a## Isabella turned out to be. Nothing whimpy about her! The book is great and I really enjoyed it.
Smiled so much, my chaks hurt. Squealed so much, my ears are ringing. I'll never be able to fully put across how much I love Nicole Snow's books.
