What would you do? When Autumn Roth gets a once-in-a-lifetime job offer from a local five-star restaurant, she finds herself torn between furthering her career, or staying at the job that she has grown to love. After a disastrous job interview, which ends with a dead body and a number of unanswered questions, Autumn soon realizes that she has much more urgent priorities. When Cozy Mystery author, Patti Benning, isn’t busy plotting the deaths of multiple fictitious characters, she loves to spend time hiking with her rescue dog, Max, who is her bestest writing buddy.
Patti loves to cook and the food in her books has been tried and tested in her very own kitchen. She’s technologically shy, and stays away from social media a great deal, because it makes her feel more awkward and introverted than meeting someone face to face.
Writing is the perfect job for her because in her books, she gets to explore all the topics she loves, food, animals, crafts and reading. She loves her readers dearly, and is thankful for the opportunity to share with them through her work.
This kindle e-book novella is from my Kindle Unlimited account book 5 of 8.

In this book Autumn is offered the chance to make her dreams come true to become a chef; but murder puts a hold quickly on those dreams. A quick read but the twists kept the mystery interesting and me turning the pages.
A fun, quick, uplifting read. This was a fun addition to the series for Autumn's character. The sinister twist at the end was well executed. Excited for the next book in the series!
I received a copy of the book in return for an honest review. This book was really good, and I love how Autumn has transformed into the woman she has. The self realization was really uplifting and despite the murder, the book really has a nice positive tone. In general she is a really happy person and just realizes it herself. The excitement was fun with the prospect of her dream job becoming a reality. As usual, the new characters are described and developed as well as the returning characters. The story was wonderful. It's always unique and thoughtful, and the nursing home is a nice touch.
An entertains addition to a fun series. The story setting is unique and the characters are wholesome and pretty straightforward.
Autumn has always dreamed of working as a restaurant chef so when she’s given the opportunity to audition at a busy restaurant she jumps at the chance. During the cook off one of the contestants has an allergic reaction and dies. Was it an accident or did someone deliberately arrange for that chef to die?
While working at Asheville Meadows, a visitor offered Autumn an opportunity to be one of a few people to apply for a chef position at her five-star restaurant. While at her interview a person dies and Autumn becomes a suspect. This book is full of turmoil and keeps you wondering who the killer is. I highly recommend this book!

Autumn gets a great opportunity to run a restaurant as the head chef but before she even interviews, murder happens and she’s caught in the middle. It’s a great short cozy mystery!
This was good. I understand the quest to make a dream come true. But what a mess to end up it. And a nice surprise ending. Good writing by a good writer.
Oooh, I feel bad for Autumn in this one! She has the chance to have her dream come true, but it's all thwarted by a murder! I'm pretty dad I'm getting close to the end of the series now.
