This is probably the only cookbook I've ever owned where I have made most things in it at least once, and could make everything in it. If I didn't have to work so damn much.
My favorite things? The french toast with fried tomatoes on it, the banana bread, the mexican wrap thingie...
Oh wow, this thing has a really high rating on Goodreads for god-knows what reason. I'll start off by saying that this book is beautiful with its vibrant, colorful photography. I saw that this book was originally sold at some trendy store, and the general vibe I get from the thing fits that (I got it from Goodwill, so that should tell you about what the original owners thought). It just doesn't have good recipes. The recipes are either boring or require ingredients that are difficult to obtain (for me as a poor). The layout, while aesthetically pleasing, is not practical. Maybe I'll flip through it again or leave it out for people while I make something, but I'd skip this cookbook.
