Can work, family life, and sanity itself survive a three-legged cat’s one-track obsession?
Clayton “the Tripod” is a special-needs rescue who quickly established himself as king of the house—a “loveable doofus” and natural clown with a heart big enough for ten cats. The day he teaches himself to play fetch, however, Clayton transforms from loving lap cat to ruthless slave driver, demanding round-the-clock games of toss/retrieve/repeat from his hapless human mom. He interrupts her work, her sleep, even her alone time with her husband. But how can any loving (if exhausted!) cat parent look into an adorable feline’s big hopeful eyes and say no?

Another cute short story about this author's cats!
After that previous book not being a success I was naturally a bit hesitant about reading the next books on my Kindle. But I was in the mood for something funny, something cute, something with cats so I decided to read this one. Plus points to the funny title!
Hilarious take on our own behaviors and just the kind of shennanigans it can lead to! I imagine some could be wondering how one story about cats (though they're more than that) can end up being any more interesting or different from another. IT'S THE AUTHOR! Each story in the Curl Up With a Cat Tale series is fresh, brings new insight from the crazy to the mundane things her cats do (they're pretty unique themselves), and through the author's unique perspective + her WRITING TALENTS, Gwen Cooper makes me want to read her grocery list and then ask her to autograph it for me! Fun, touching, clever AND ALL TRUE! I want MOVIES NOW! For cat lovers, pet lovers, self-employed peeps, New Yorkers, Floridians, book lovers. Readers of any genre will appreciate and thoroughly enjoy these stories and feel connected to the characters, the towns and cities mentioned and the author.
Stop Trying to Make Fetch Happen wins as a delightfully quick and funny feline tale I think any cat lover can appreciate. Readers whose feisty kitties constantly want you to play with them RIGHT NOW will find themselves nodding in recognition.
Author Gwen Cooper displays here a unique writing style which manages to seem both wordy and straightforward, and it works well in such a small dose. I intend to continue reading her work.
