i ordered this online in a frenzy of used book buying. so far it's zzzzzzzzz. and strangely shaped. it has the measurements of a coffee table book, but with no pictures. so you just hold the extra long pages awkwardly. this is definitely not a book you'd bring on the bus/subway, you'd kill the person next to you.

Seems well researched, but readers be aware that this is primarily a look into the BUSINESS side of MTV from evolution to the early 1990s. Most of the book discusses the individuals and corporations involved. I found it interesting overall, but could picture many readers disappointed in the scope of the book.

its very weird and talking about the cable channels and the business man part of the book and reading this as a teenager really helped me to know that the world is just designed for me to buy products mindlessly unless i research even art is to make me buy products with little meaning. all the greeds.

Okay I don't know who else would be interested in this but I love early music videos so if you have a weird up session with Art of Noise videos this is a book you should read otherwise probably not.
