Hi commentarii praeclari de bello Gallico -- immo de bellis Gallicis -- ab Caesare conscipti repleti proeliorum et factorum militum fortium sunt. Caesar summo ingenio eos scripsit ut breviter sed facile omnia intellegi possent. Celeber autem usus orationis obliquae discipulo pigro molestus esse potest!

This is good for improving your Latin but I hate Caesar and will never read him again

Great book to read to get a sense of Caesar’s style, especially after finishing Familia Romana- also good for bridging the gap to Roma Aeterna. Overall fantastic for extensive reading, and for improving vocab. Would recommend reading multiple times to ensure all vocab gets assimilated, before getting a longer reader of Bello Gallico if more Caesar’s desired!
