Three years ago, Leelah Bayard left her easygoing life to take a highly secretive position as the main guardian of the queen of Altecia. As time went by, the two of them tried to work around their differences, and he ended up teaching her things about herself that she never knew existed. Lee found out she was a direct descendant of an ancient race called Fae—well, that is she thought they were an ancient race. Not only did she learn that she possessed powers but that she was a part of a group that had a destiny to follow. Just when Leelah thought she knew all the facts, some new information comes to light, causing her to stumble back.

As the enemy, the Salvatorians, began to show their faces, Lee needed desperately to save herself and the queen. While on a race in search for the king and his men, a haunting question will be answered about her soul mate. With the visions from the spirit realm, is Lee going to accept what is shown to her, or is she going to fight it all the way to the end?

M. K. Anthony lives in rural northwest Pennsylvania with her husband of nearly twenty years, their daughter, and a crazy redbone coonhound named Taco. If she's not enjoying evening walks with her family on their fifty-acre farm, then she's probably lost in the world of her characters. M. K. is the author of Guardians of the Queen, book one in the Legends of Breena series. She is currently working on book three.

If you love medieval times, magic, adventure, and loving friendships along with a sassy heroine then you will LOVE this book!! M K Anthony has brought to life a whole new world. I laughed, cried, and cheered with all the characters in this book! I cannot wait for the next book!

I've been putting this off for so long, because I have SO many words & emotions. I found myself falling in love with pretty much every single character. I love the fantasy and the relationships that formed. I loved all the twists. This book made me laugh, cry, shocked... The only con I have to this series is the fact that I found grammatical errors and/ or words missing. Even putting that a side, it's still SO worth the read!!! I'd definitely love for the author to try to focus on this more in future books. Even if down the road they did rework or printed different artwork for this book. Id definitely still buy a second copy! This book is on the top of my list for rereads. Im definitely looking forward to the third book, let alone any future books. You have found a forever fan in me!
