This was a good read. Noah comes home for his brother's wedding. Due to his past this is the first time he has been back since he took off. We come to find out the truth about his father and he comes to terms with that. He meets Riley and they have an instant attraction. She like him has her own problems but thankfully in the end they manage to get their happy ending.

The ongoing saga of Brigadier Station. Noah returns from his self imposed exile for Darcy's wedding to Meghan.
He meets a female helicopter pilot who lives for flying and despite their differences they fall in love.
Can they have a HEA?
A strong story line with BIG characters

Back to Brigadier Station not just of me but also for Noah McGuire as he finally returns home from New Zealand after 10 years. It was great to return to the characters of Brigadier Station in this, book two of the series, a series that makes you feel the red dirt on your hands with Sarah’s words. We get to catch up with some old characters and meet new ones that will bring more to this growing family drama.

Noah is the youngest of the three McGuire brother who has been away for many reasons but he comes home for his older brothers wedding and the hope of his inheritance to start a new life for himself. But what he didn’t plan was the attraction to a female that may just change his life. Noah at many demons from the past here at Brigadier Station. He will be faced with more than just the present he will have to face the painful past of living on Brigadier Station.

Riley Sinclair is a loner that moves around this great country working and flying her helicopter as she works on mustering of cattle for cousins business. Riley is a good friend of Darcy McGuire and his wife-to-be, Meghan Flanagan so she was at Brigadier station the week before the wedding when Noah returned to the family station.

Both can’t fight the chemistry and attraction but what will this all mean when true life starts to interfere with this budding romance. Noah is concerned about the danger of her job but her job was her passion and no man would change that getting tied down just isn’t an option for Riley.

What would happen when tragedy hits their lives?

Can love survive the good and the bad that life throughs our way?

Audio review
This book was narrated by Myles Pollard who has narrated all of Sarah Williams Brigadier Station books. He is the perfect voice for this truly Australian story as he gives this story more life and feeling while he reads this book to you. If you are not a true lover of audiobooks or even if you are you will know that not all narrators hit the right feel of some books. The flow of the book is great with the right empathise put in the right places with a clear difference in each character voice change.

This series is my first read by this author and I enjoyed all three books. I like the casual writing style blended with the good choice of characters and the interesting storylines. I always love when I can find a writer that transports me to their country as if I'm there in person. The fact this series is set in Australia grabbed my interest. The culture and customs and livestyles of this part of Oz was interesting.

The Brothers of Brigadier Station #1 - The story of Lachlan and Meghan and his brother Darcy, which also builds the history and foundation of Brigadier Station and the McGuire family. 4*

The Sky Over Brigadier Station #2 - With Meghan's wedding approaching, brother Noah is unwilling returning to Brigadier Station after leaving ten years previously. This is his and Riley's story, which shares more of the McGuire past. I find the work of Australia's stations interesting, just as I do about American ranches, but was intrigued about another job that is not commonly written about in either country. 4*

The Legacies of Brigadier Station #3 - This story starts almost eleven months after Sky ends. It is Abbie's turn to find a McGuire to love. This is my favorite of the series, where a lot of the past, the present and the future come together. Terrible things happen, but so do many wonderful things.

While all these books can be read on their own, start with the first story and see the McGuire history unfold. 5*

Coming home and finding the unexpected

I read The Sky over Brigadier Station as part of the Brigadier Station (Books 1-3) boxed set of books and really loved it. This book centers on Noah McGuire and Riley Sinclair. He has come back to Brigadier Station after being in New Zealand for ten years so that he can attend his older brother Darcy's wedding and to collect his inheritance. He really just wants to get in, get it done, and get back out as quickly as he can. But his plans do not quite work out that way as his past comes back and is something he will have to finally face and deal with instead of running away from it again.
Riley is a helicopter pilot who's business in to herd cattle in the outback. She loves what she does and she is good at it, which puts a lot of men off. She is at the station also for the wedding as she is friends with both Darcy and Meghan.
When Noah and Riley meet there are definite sparks of attraction between them. But they both are not looking for anything. What they end up with is a very sweet romance (not steamy hot scenes in this book) between two adults with their own pasts and ways of life. Will they be able to sort out their own issues to come together for their own HEA?

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

The Sky over Brigadier Station is the first book written by Sarah Williams that I have read. I was thinking that it would be a totally clean romance which it is not. While there is by no means excessive bedroom scenes it is a somewhat open bedroom door. I think that I had misunderstood that Serenade Publishing was not a faith based publisher.

Still the story has engaging characters that I truly liked. It is a heartfelt coming home story for Noah as he returns home after leaving ten years ago. For some it may have triggers since it deals with alcoholism and domestic violence. The story is old with sincerity and emotional as Noah reconnects with family as his brother’s wedding is to take place. Jumping six months ahead at the last part of the story is rushed. The build up to that part is well developed flowing but Riley quickly changes her position on commitment with the story directly concluding. More development in this part would have made the story more complete. For that the story gets 4 stars instead of 5 which is what I would rate the first three fourths of the book.

The publisher through Net Galley provided an ARC. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.

Love is flying high in this thrilling romance!

Noah is coming back, after a ten-year absence, for his brother Darcy's wedding. Harriet, mom to the three McGuire brothers, decides it's time to spread all her cards on the table to make sure each of her sons understands the family's history and how it affected each of them individually, and as a family.

Riley is a helicopter pilot and a friend of the family who meets Noah just before the wedding. Sparks fly, but she's got her own reasons for not wanting anything serious. Noah's not sure what he wants, but as he picks up his life at Brigadier Station he becomes convinced that his future has to include Riley. A crisis forces them both to face truths they'd been ignoring, paving the way to a sweet and satisfying HEA.

I really loved Noah, and Riley was his perfect match. The writing was exquisite, reaching the lowest depths of anguish and the highest highs of new love. We really get to know the entire McGuire family in this book, and I enjoyed every bit of it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is a sweet, slow-burn romance with a strong sense of place. While I have read a few other books set in the Australian Outback, few have been able to give such a clear picture of what the world is like for people who live as the characters in this story do. I felt I could sense Riley's excitement for the muster as well as see it clearly from the author's descriptions. I'm a very visual reader, and I appreciate it when an author is able to give such incredible word pictures that put you right in the story but don't distract you by being too much; in this story, the writer got the correct balance. I enjoyed the characters, in particular the brothers. Noah is at a true crossroads in his life, and the way he thinks about his options and Riley throughout his story arc feels realistic. A thoroughly enjoyable romance!

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Noah's father was abusive, so he left and didn't come back for a long while. He's had a bad breakup, and comes home for his brother Darcy's wedding, and to claim his inheritance, working the family ranch while he's there. Riley is a helicopter pilot, and a pretty good one at that. Darcy occasionally uses Riley's services to help herd their cattle. Noah is falling for Riley even as he's afraid to get involved - she's a free spirit, and he doesn't want to think that he would tie her down. I thought there was a bit of a slow start, but about three or four chapters in, I was completely hooked. This was a wonderful story of forgiveness and overcoming the past to move on to a new and better future. I enjoyed seeing this family grow in love and numbers. This is my first read from this author. Now I need to read book 1 before I move on with this series.

This was a deeply moving and heartfelt story. Noah has avoided Brigadier Station since he left. He finally got away from his father. Now the man is dead and his mother has asked him to return - to claim his inheritance and be there to see his brother, Darcy, to get married. He feels it is time to come back. Harriet has always loved her sons. She knew the difficulties Noah had and why he left. She did not change him. She just wanted him home. While home, helping with a muster, Noah meets Darcy's best friend Riley, a female helicopter pilot helping with the muster. He knows she's a free spirit, but can't help his interest in her. Tragedy strikes and Riley doesn't return. Can their love pull through? This is a beautiful story. The characters are strong and leave much room for more stories. This is book 2, but I haven't read book 1 yet and I was clearly absorbed in this one.

After leaving Lachie for his younger brother Darcy just before her wedding it’s finally time for Meghan to marry the right brother. Harriet just wants to see all three of her sons settled and happy. She persuades Noah her youngest son to come back from New Zealand for Darcy’s wedding and to stay and help while they are on honeymoon. Leaving his childhood sweetheart behind after she goes off with a Maori Noah wonders where his life will go from here. Meeting Riley a helicopter pilot who was helping with the cattle muster Noah is soon wondering if he has already found the woman for him. As they say the course of true love never runs smooth. Read this great book to find out what happens to Riley and Noah.

Noah returns home from NZ for his brothers wedding however it dredges up bad memories of his childhood & why he stayed away. Riley has worked hard to achieve her goal of a female helicopter pilot in the outback & loves her nomadic life.
However when their paths cross there is an instant attraction both finding it difficult to give into for various reasons. I enjoyed the buildup & chemistry between these two & hope they can move forward to a HEA.
The story is very descriptive & depicts the current outback situations esp drought & the struggles of the farming community. You'll enjoy this if that is your thing.

It was interesting reading about mustering livestock in the outback and how dangerous it was for pilots, how they have to fly low to help herd the animals. Riley was a tough helicopter pilot risking her life every time she flew for her job. Because of the risks she takes she doesn’t want to get close to anyone, but she can’t help falling for Noah. He suffered extreme abuse at the hands of his father. It’s amazing well he’s managed to overcome it and thrive. He may think he’s ok with having a fling with Riley, but he can’t help falling for her too.

The second part of the series, this is just a nice sweet Aussie romance. This one is Noah’s story about coming home and his love story. I didn’ t know how it might end with some of the brothers faults and his past history with his father. After, falling for the lady heli pilot you hope it will end wonderfully for both of them. Riley is a great strong woman character with her cattle mushing skills via heli!

This is a fast read, just like the first one. But I really enjoyed Sarah Williams’s writing style with wonderful ladies, setting a wonderful sense of Queensland and a cattle station for us non-AU people. It’s a nice sweet little love story read.

This the second book in a series about three brothers who grew up on a Station in the drought ridden Australian outback. The characters are well crafted and full of personality. The storyline flows quickly and smoothly filled with twists and turns and full of sweet romantic moments. The narrative was well done, giving a wonderful description of the environment and insight into the character’s emotions, thoughts, motivations and actions. I enjoyed the dialogue and character interactions. If you enjoy great contemporary romances, you will enjoy this book.

Can love fly in a land of no Rain?

Going from the green region of New Zealand to the drought ridden west of Australia Noah must not only face a past that haunts him but acclimated to the dryer weather and maybe find love on the way. This is a compelling story of abuse and lies that have shaped a family and the courage it takes to move on and find true love. An awesome female helicopter pilot can help Noah on his journey of love.I would recommend this book to anyone who has dreamed of the land down under and believes in love .

This was a wonderful story of forgiveness and overcoming the past to move on to a new and better future.

The characters are nicely engaging and as diverse as the Australian wildlife.

Love scenes are there but are not graphic and there is no foul language or violence.

I did read the books out of order and it would be much a more enjoyable to read them in order but it doesn’t really matter.

A son comes home

Noah gets a call to please come home for his older brother Darcy's wedding. He hasn't been home in 10 years. When he comes home early to help with muster at Darcy's ranch he meets mustering pilot Riley. Riley works with her cousin Grant and Noah seems to kick heart into gear, but she not ready for long term, or is she.

I was given this series to review by Voracious readers and it was absolutely fantastic. I read Ll three books within a few days.

The characters were all so very well written. It was impossible not to fall in love with them. Sarah did an amazing job of getting your emotions involved. There were a number of times I was crying over the turmoil the family experienced

Great read for sure!

The characters were all well done. The story flowed well.

The beginning of the story focus heavily on the sexual attraction of the main characters... almost enough to make me stop reading.

Then the story kicks in, and wow!
Emotional and raw in parts. Worth sticking around for...

Leitura finalizada.❤❤❤❤❤
📖O céu sobre Brigadier Station. Autora Sarah Williams. @leabharbooksbr

This is a purely sweet romance. Set against the backdrop of cattle country in Queensland, Australia the story features Noah, the youngest of three brothers raised on Brigadier Station, and Riley, a beautiful and talented helicopter pilot. Difficult family dynamics, the excitement of the muster, the inherent danger of driving cattle from a helicopter, and the anticipation of an upcoming wedding all combine to create the vibrant environment in which Noah and Riley find themselves thrown together.

They both feel the immediate chemistry, but both seem to feel it would be a bad idea to pursue a relationship with the other. Riley travels frequently with her dangerous and demanding job—getting tied down just isn’t an option. Noah is at loose ends at the moment—sort of the opposite extreme, so he needs to determine his next move. Both of them are smart, driven, and, well…stubborn.

The characters are nicely engaging and as diverse as the Australian wildlife. The plot unfolds at a reasonable, though not exactly break-neck speed. This is more of a laid back read than a roller coaster ride. But being a sweet romance, readers can definitely share this novel with the little old lady next door. Love scenes have a fade-to-black quality (nothing graphic), and there is no mature language or violence. What readers will enjoy is the growth and healing of characters as they overcome past traumas, consider their futures, and recognize the value of family.

4 Stars!

After reading and thoroughly enjoying the first book in this familial series (The Brothers of Brigadier Station,) I was anticipating and excited to read about Noah McGuire and the reason for his glaring absence from Brigadier Station in the first book. I loved getting to know this sensitive brother and seeing him get his HEA. Boy, did he pull my heartstrings.

Like the first book, it was a quick read, but I found that this one moved even swifter. In general, I enjoyed the storyline, Noah's homecoming, and the heroine Riley's exceptional career choice. Since this book was more of a novella-length story, it lacked some of the details I would have enjoyed reading when instead there were a couple of time jumps. Although there were moments I longed for more detail, again this author weaved a quickly paced, but believable story around two individuals where love seemed all but possible. The story was engaging and this author writes with emotion and depth that connects with me. Overall, I loved Noah and was thrilled to get his story. I was also satisfied with the direction of Lachie's character and look forward to reading the rest of his story and HEA. (This is my voluntary and unbiased review of an advanced copy of The Sky over Brigadier Station.)

This is the first book I read by Sarah Williams and I really loved the story. While not having read the first book in this series, it was easy to follow the story and get to know the characters.
Noah spent ten years away from Brigadier Station, trying to forget his past, but when his mother asks for his help while his brother Darcy goes on his honeymoon, he decides to return to Australia to help and also achieve his inheritance.
Riley Sinclair is one of the best pilots in the country and Darcy's friend. She goes to work on her ranch and meets Noah there. The attraction between them is immediate and they soon build a strong friendship.
As time goes by, the attraction between them is undeniable, but when Riley is in an accident, things change completely.
At the same time, Noah and his brothers deal with revelations of the past, which ends up making them considerably improve the relationship between them.
I loved the story and the characters and I highly recommend the reading.
