Creed MC #2

UnScripted

Rate this book
When she told me Sons of Anarchy was her favorite show, I knew I was in trouble.

When she said I'm what Jax would look like if he didn't die, I knew I was screwed.

I was her fantasy man... all grown up.

But I'm no pretty boy acting in a show. This is real life sweetheart. It's ugly. It's raw.

Unscripted.

Meat a.ka. Roger spent his life protecting the secrets of his motorcycle club while being a bodyguard to the princess who grew up in its shadow. But when she finds her king and her happy ending: Roger rides alone.

Devon walks into his bar looking for a job. But, one look at the tatted, silver fox and she knows she's found her man.

But Meat wants nothing to do with a girl half his age. He calls her jailbait. She calls him her dream man.

Sometimes the best things are unplanned. They are UnScripted.

Authors Note: This is a standalone spinoff novella from Duke.

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-21/5/18

Holy moly this book blew me away I absolutely adored every bloody word written here.
The previous in the series "Duke" I enjoyed this I devoured; I can't express just how much I loved this book and if I could rate "Unscripted" any higher I so would.
images.jpg
So this is set after "Duke" and has Meat/Rog running the Sassy Wench in Springdale; When Devon; flirty and thirty; High school teacher breezes into town looking for answers and decides Roger's establishment is where she's gonna get these elusive questions acknowledged.
Desperate for knowledge and having the experience needed (Former Hooters girl) Devon Signs on to waitress for the summer at the Sassy Wench.
Meat/Roger is instantly enamoured by the sexy school teacher he's lovingly labelled jailbait but doesn't quite trust her reasons for being in his town.
Former soldier in arms of the disbanded Springdale chapter; he was the muscle back in his day and is still heavily involved in club life; once family always family.
Rog is determined to uncover all of Devon's secrets; while trying to still keep as far away from Dev as he can; as this is one woman that could easily break his status-quo.
So, do you know what my favourite factor in "Unscripted" was; the characters ages; yeh there are loads of romances out there that deal with young twenty-year-old girls and hot older men.
But this story featured an older age gap couple and I couldn't have loved it any more.
This was a major plus for me and so refreshing to see someone older portrayed in such a positive light; I know an older man can be extremely sexy; I have my own silver fox after all, but it's not very often we get one portrayed as the Male Hero in a romance novel so I was loving this unique aspect of "Unscripted".
I adored how Roger, Devon's sexy silver fox was portrayed here.
He was a gruff, rude, stubborn, set in his ways oldie; but also protective, loving and loyal with it.
A heart the size of Texas; A big buff grizzly bear; my only slight annoyance with him was his sheer stubbornness, but I ultimately let that slide on account of Rog's total manly hotness; I am a girl after all.
"unscripted" has been one of my most fave reads in a while it just got to me.
I liked everything about it; It was told in dual POV; my fave and had an abundance of interesting and intriguing characters; all well fleshed out so you felt like you really got to know the whole gang.
There was a fantastic side story and you were just waiting for everything to implode dramatically for poor Devon; I do feel in that instance Devon maybe got a bit of a raw deal, the parent's sins are so not the kids and all that jazz; thank god for the voice of reason Shanna.
And that's another reason there to pick this up; the lovely Duke and Shanna; Although not heavily featured here they do make a couple of appearances and it was so lovely to catch up with them and see how they were getting on.
All though with that, I will say this can be read as a standalone no issue at all.
"Unscripted" is set in the MC world but it's not heavily relied on here for story development.
Its just part of a bigger picture; that makes up this engaging tale; an extra piece of the puzzle that is "Unscripted".
This has twists and turns aplenty and is a fantastic second book to what was already a great series; can't wait to experience more in the world that is "Creed".
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of "UnScripted" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Springdale was in my head and I couldn't leave after Duke. I knew Roger has a story to tell and a woman out there for him.

This is the most romantic book of mine to date. I enjoyed putting their romance together and crossing over characters from Duke.

I hope you enjoy your Silver Fox and his chase to catch his love.

A really great book. A short series but not short on pages or on loving. This is an older man younger woman type.

Devon comes to town to learn about her birth parents. She is 30 years old and her and her long time boyfriend recently broke up and her adopted Mom finally told her about her parents. She figures out that her mom was not well liked and the only way to find out is to get close to a MC member.

Roger or Rog is what Dev call's him when she isn't calling him a "Silver Fox" runs the bar that burned down at the end of last book. They rebuilt and it's both a restaurant and bar in one. The MC is not much of one in this town anymore but they help out the others if they need help.

Dev really wants to get together with Rog but hasn't told him who she is. He wants her but says she is too young. When her life is put in danger and everything comes out who will be there for who?

A decent May-December, biker romance, with a 25ish year age gap. I wish there'd been more on-page time to develop their relationship as they really didn't know anything about each other, at all. And when the shit hit the fan

Not too bad if you're a fan of instalove and growly bikers. The ending got wrapped up in a rushed bow but still...it was a bit of fun for a few hours.

Jax Hart did it again! This book was absolutely brilliant! The chemistry between Devon and Rog was simply sizzling and the journey they take together will keep you captivated waiting to see what happens next. I loved the storyline, the characters, and it captured my interest from beginning to end. I definitely recommend this book you won't be disappointed!!!

The narration by Rodney Falcon was superb!!! His performance and voice kept me intrigued and I listened to this book all in one night! Any book narrated by Rodney Falcon will be an automatic dowload for me!!!!

This book is absolutely amazing. Roger and Devon's story is one filled with secrets, strong chemistry, a strong hold on the past with hatred. they have a whirlwind romance, and she finds the soft side to the older, big burly biker. There story is gripping and will keep you wanting more. Quite a few twists and turns for your reading pleasure. I was even a bit emotional at a few points as well. I fell in love with these two from the beginning.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second book in the Creed MC series (although it is stated as a spin off novella) It can be read without reading the first book Duke but you will get a better understanding of the backstory of the MC if you read Duke first.

Adopted as a baby, Devon has moved from Chicago to the small town where her birth parents lived. Now both deceased she sets about learning what had happened and why she was adopted. Little does Devon know the consequences of her secret being revealed. Her trail leads her to accepting a job at Sassy’s bar where she meets …ahem… Meat aka Roger.

From the start Dev and Roger have that instant spark and as far as Dev is concerned the twenty odd year age gap (I never did find out his true age?) Roger is hot and packing with muscle and his tats just make him irresistible. Initially Roger doesn’t give in to temptation but after time he can no longer deny the intensity between them and goes after his woman.

As Duke was, this is another age-gap MC romance but I enjoyed this one so much more. I liked that Devon was in her thirties so she had maturity and understanding on her side. Even though Roger was in his fifties he was a hot AF silver fox. The romance and passion between these two was tangible and I could really feel the connection between them (which I found lacking in the first book)

I loved both characters from the start and although I could see where the secret would take the storyline I was constantly engaged and waiting for the storm to break. There were also some fabulous secondary characters who we will find out more about in future books. This book had plenty of romance, passion, drama and believable MC action that I read it in one sitting. This author is definitely one to watch! Four stars.

When I read the blurb for Unscripted I expected lots of naughty heat and a simple love story, color me surprised when I got plenty of that scorching heat but also a more complex romance with twists and turns that had me addicted! Between romance so hot it melts the pages and secrets wrapped up tightly that begin to slowly unwind Roger and Devon’s story is one that you just can’t put down. I missed the first book in this series, but after reading this I absolutely have to go back and grab book one!

Adopted as a newborn Devon has lived a happy life with wonderful parents, but now she wants to know the truth behind her biological parents. With a note that leads her to a small town far from Chicago she quietly begins to discover the secrets that lead to her birth. Roger is all male. Rough, stuck in his ways, sexy as hell, and twenty years older than Devon he’s the definition of silver fox. The chemistry between them is instantaneous but there’s secrets and an age gap holding them back.

The sparks between Roger and Devon flew off the pages, constantly getting hotter and hotter as things also heat up between old rivals and secrets of the past. As an incredibly swoon worthy romance builds the past is catching up with everyone. All of this combines to create a story that is to find yourself wrapped up in.

Yes! Be still my frantically beating heart! The Silver Fox has struck and this reader is left with not only a SERIOUS book hangover but I think that's now TWO hot af men (Duke & Rog) that have stolen this poor heart and left me hanging, begging, and desperately needing more. I mean DAMN. Jax Hart knows how to write sexy alpha men and we all know that's exactly what I CRAVE and DESIRE.

I simply devoured this novel and I think I LOVED it more than Duke. I know - shocker - but it's true. If you've read my review for Duke you know how I gushed over Jax Hart's writing, characters, and ability to weave a fantastic plot but he stepped it up a notch with Unscripted and this girl right here - SWOON - fell head over heels for Rog. He's a man set in his ways, perfect middle age (fine like a nice whiskey), sexy as hell, alpha protector, and (this is the BEST part) he's a ROMANTIC. What? Yes, the bad boy MC tough biker is romantic and makes love like a porn star.

Can you say done? I might as well just raise a glass to Mr. Hart right now because I don't think he can write a better hero/alpha male in my book. Gonna be hard to top Rog the Silver Fox. Just putting this out there - I dare you and hope you take it on Mr. Hart. Creed MC has way more to offer . . .

Loved the dangerous aspects, the plot twists and turns, both the lead characters, the slow build of the hot steamy relationship, and the sexy af bedroom scenes. There's so many layers and twists and turns it's just deliciously captivating. I honestly NEED MORE.

Amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! BUY IT NOW!

When I first looked at this book I was thinking about the title being almost a paragraph long and for some reason that irritated me. Why include a long ass explanation of the book in the title? But I read the description and decided to take a chance since it's available on KU. I was totally surprised when I got into the book and realized the writing was good and I was totally involved in Roger and Devon's relationship. She's 30 and, although we never find out his exact age, he's at least 20 years older than her. But, as usual, he's one hot, alpha male. Devon's there to try to find out about her deceased birth mother who was hated by the MC. Even though there's an instant spark of lust between the two, the author builds the relationship in a good way before it's consummated.
So now I think I'll try out book 1 in the series.

Really good book, recommended on Jealous/Possessive facebook page. No cheating. Short separation.

This is book 2 and I decided to skip book 1 due to a review that said the h in the story cheated, I did feel a little lost at first but I figured things out.

h (an adoptee) is 30 and has moved to Springdale, Oregon to find out the story behind her birth parents. She's got a job at the local high school starting in a month. There's some history and drama that ties the h to the mega-hot-silver-fox H who 50+ (they never tell his exact age).

Negs-Not a lot of description of what people looked like. Some things felt vague, like the bad guy. I don't really get who he was or why he was somewhat stalking the h. Could have been a reference from the first book I suppose.

Overall, a hot sexy read with some kick-ass sweet moments and true emotion. I wish it was longer.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Roger "Meat" sees the new girl in town Devon when she comes into his bar looking for work, he knows there is more to her than meets the eye but what an eyeful it is. Devon came to town looking for answers about her past but if Roger finds out that she comes from the woman the entire Creed MC consider a curse it will destroy everything. OMG!!! I loved this book so much. After reading Duke the first book in this series I fell in love with these rough around the edges alpha MC family, but this book and story exceeded my expectations. I loved this story so much, I never knew what the next page would tell me and I couldn't put down. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~

Devan leaves the comfort of her home to go back to try and find out about her birth mom. She takes a job for Meat and all bets are off. No matter her advances toward him, he won’t give in. Meat knows that he has to find out who this girl is. The past can always come back to bite you even if you are an innocent one.

These two have a a lot of issues to work through. Meat and Devan have to meet in the middle.

Who knew MCs could be romantic? I fell in love with Roger in Duke and was so happy to see him get his own woman - one who was as full of sass and strength and a take-no-prisoners attitude when she finds what she wants. I just knew that Rog had an gooey center inside that hard shell, but as usual, the author makes us beg for it as we agonize through the emotional rollercoaster that I’m learning is part and parcel of his captivating writing style. Once agin I cried, held my breath, and melted at the molten chemistry and romantic seduction that is the heart of this story. On to the next book - I bought it before I even started this one!

Not Good

This book had received race reviews, but I swear the reviewers had to be friends of the author. The alpha-male in Roger was so cliche. For those who love MC romance you will be highly insulted. The MC club is like Sesame Street; you will fear no one. The heroine has no substance and for her to be a teacher is not believable at all. I will not continue on with this series.

The second in the Creed MC series, Unscripted is the story of Roger a.k.a. Meat and Devon. Devon was adopted and travels to Oregon to find answers. There she finds out that she is the daughter of Dee Dee Stanton, the most reviled woman in Springdale. She decides to stay and find out more and ends up working for Roger at the bar. Roger has been a biker turned bar owner, who has never found a woman he wanted to settle down with until Devon crashes into his life. Once these two meet, sparks fly and things get very interesting in Springdale.
Told in dual POVs this is a tale of a mature man (you never really find out his age but isn't the 60 everyone assumes) and the younger woman (she is 30 so it isn't cradle robbing) who shakes up his life. Roger is a badass from way back. A true MC biker who is all alpha male but does have a softer, more seductive side. Having spent most of his life caring for others, he is now at a time when he can be selfish but doesnt know how. Devon is a woman who is established in her career but her personal life, between a loser boyfriend and questions of where she came from, keeps her from finding her way to happiness.
Mr. Hart balanced the steamy romance and the biker action in the story quite nicely. There is a good flow and pacing to Unscripted that while labeled as a novella but reads as a fuller book. I am impressed with Jax Hart's writing with this being only his third novel. He has a good touch with making his characters true feeling and larger than life without being over the top. Unscripted is well thought out and its players well developed. There are threads left hanging though the introduction of Smith, the Creed's Prez and Devon's friend Lucy, they can be picked up in the next installment.
A new author who is showing he has the chops and a book worth the one-click.

First read by this author but second in series

Devon has always known that she was adopted but after receiving a letter from her birth mom, it becomes her mission to find out more about the woman who gave her up.

Leaving her life, family and friends in Chicago behind she heads to Springdale, a place that feels like home.

A biker town, home of the Creed MC, fuelled and filled by burly tatted bikers and the grumbly, grumpiest one of all Roger.
The Creed MC bikers knew her biological parents, they know the past and are her way to unlocking its secrets.

Devon jumps at the chance to get closer to Roger, when a waitressing job in his bar comes up… what she doesn’t count on is how much she is drawn to him or him in return.
Secrets will out and someone will get hurt…

Awww man this book was so great! I loved the amount of story that was packed into this book!

And yes I broke my cardinal rule!!

I didn’t read in order…I know I should have read Duke, book 1 in the series first…. but I literally saw the cover ( HAVE YOU SEEN THE COVER?? 😍😍😍) and read the blurb and HAD to dive right in… and it didn’t disappoint. And hell yes I will be reading DUKE ASAP!!

Some readers like billionaires, some like princes… my bookpimping heart loves a gruff grumpy beast of a man with a marsh mellow centre..( marsh mellows are my kryptonite!! ) and hawt dayum! Rog is that in spades🔥💚…checked all the boxes and a few more for the hell of it!

The tension and chemistry between Devon and Rog was beautifully executed. I loved their tender moments. They were so well written and made my inner soppy girl very happy.

Filled with fantastically written charachters and a fast paced story this book was a total pleasure to read.

Oh my, I am kicking myself for not discovering Jax Hart sooner! MC romances are one of my kryptonite reads and an older guy/younger woman is another. Unscripted is both of them in one. Not your typical MC story, Roger isn't an active member in the Creed MC anymore. Bad blood broke the club and Roger stayed in town alone with his memories. Without anyone to call his own Roger has gotten gruff and rough around the edges. When Devon breezes into town, renting an apartment in his building, he figures she is up to something. She starts working as a waitress in his bar. He knows he shouldn't be into her; she is so much younger than him and an employee. So he keeps his distance. But Devon isn't interested in distance. At first she just wanted to get information. She came to town for that purpose but she didn't count on falling in love... with the town and a certain growly hot bar owner. But the secret she is keeping could destroy everything she has discovered on her search for answers. Too scared that he would hate her and she would lose the MC who have become her family, will she take a chance on the truth?

This book was fantastic! If I could, I would give this book 6 stars, it is that good! The writing is tight, the characters so vivid you know them like friends. I had such a hard time pulling myself away from Roger and Devon to do those pesky adult things like work and sleep. This is a sequel to Duke but I hadn't read it yet and I had no problems reading Unscripted as a standalone. Now I am definitely going to go get Duke and get ready for book 3 Undone about Devon's friend Luc and Smith the president of Creed MC.

Some say age matters when it comes to love. The heart wants what the heart wants and age is not a factor.
Dev packed up and moved to Springdale to find out more about her birth parents. She didn't expect to find out her mother was hated, her father was in an MC, and the love of her life was the Silver Fox she worked for.
Roger being lost in his ways wasn't about to find an old lady. Definitely not a beautiful brunette 20 years younger than him.
Dev decides to keep her identity a secret after she finds out her mother was hated by the entire MC. She needs to prove to Rog that just because you come from your parents blood doesn't mean you are anything like them.
Finding out Dev was brought into the world by Dee Dee turns Roger's world upside down. How do you love the daughter of the woman that tore your club apart? Rog has to decide what's more important, and old hatred over a woman or being with the woman you love.
Hot sex, heartbreak, lust, and love...age is only a number when you are with your soulmate.
Jax Hart continues to grow as a writer with every book. He shows so much emotion for his characters that makes you feel like you are right there in the story. I enjoyed how he focused on the love story between Dev and Rog. I fell in love with the characters a few times throughout the story. It was nice to see Duke and Shanna make an appearance in the book, and to keep other characters in the story.
I am eager to see where Jax takes us in the Creed MC series.

I recommend reading this book to any reader looking for a great love story.

UnScripted is the second book in the CREED MC series, and while it's about a new couple, I really don't recommend reading it as a standalone, because a lot of the past that comes to play in this story line was revealed in Duke (Book 1) in more detail. Anyway, that's my message brought to you by one bloggers' very important opinion & view. Now, next on tap, is that I'm really becoming very attached to Jax Hart's talented & addictive writing style, as he brought his A game to the table with this shortish story, as somehow my emotions that I like to keep locked down were fully engaged. Like my eyes leaked a time or two engaged, so bravo! Devon is on a journey to find out about her birth parents which takes her to Roger's, aka Meat, neck of the woods when she walks into her bar for a job. She takes one look at the silver fox, and instantly wants him, but he's convinced that the 30 year old is trouble so he names her jailbait. But chemistry is a funny thing, it knows no age, and it doesn't take long before said chemistry ignites into setting sheets/ trees/ furniture on fire is taking place. But Devon has secrets, which makes for twists that kept my special biker f-bombs dropping, not to mention some action from another club threatening to take everyone out. Finally, there's the colorful cast of secondaries that add to the depth with extra humor to give the heavy some light with fun! I CANNOT WAIT for the next book in this awesome series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I give Unscripted by Jax Hart five Stars. This is book two of the Creed MC Series and is considered a new adult and contemporary series. This book can be read as a standalone but keep in mind the characters from the first book are in this book also. This book is very well written, will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout and you will not want to put it down. This is one of the best MC books I have read and my favorite one of Jax so far.

Roger (Meat) has been in the motorcycle club Creed for most his life. He started off as a sergeant in arms but ended up being a bodyguard to the princess of the group, one of the founder’s daughters. When the princess finds her happy ever after Roger is left with nothing to do but ride alone and run his bar.

Devon is new in town and decided to pick up a job for over the summer. When she walks into Roger’s Bar for an interview she is blown away. One look at the tattooed silver fox and she know he is the man for her. He on the other had calls her jailbait and tries to ignore her. Life is unscripted and sometimes the best things in life are not planned.

This book had some strong language and had some violence but it was tastefully done and didn’t have to much detail. There was some sexual content and the scenes are amazingly written and very very hot. This is the second book I have read by Jax Hart and he has me hooked. He has an amazing writing style and I cannot wait to read his next book in the series. I had a very hard time putting this book down to deal with real life, this is a must read!

When Devon sets out to find more information about her birth parents, she ends up in Oregon. Having very little information to go on, all she knows is that they are dead, and someone didn't like her birth mother very much. When she figures out a way to try and get more information by working as a waitress, she gets a bit side tracked by a guy she has nicknamed Silver Fox. Meat/Roger runs the place and all Devon can think about is jumping his bones. When Devon ends up being pulled into MC business by simple just being there, Roger has to figure out how to keep her safe, while at the same time fighting the feelings that he has for Devon. Their lives are too different, not to mention a huge age gap... but the heart wants what the heart wants. Will Roger stop fighting and decide to give love a chance? What happens when the secrets of the past are revealed... will this pull them apart before they even have a chance to be together?

This turned out to be a really good read. With a really good story line that once you get started, pulls you in, the drama was at the right level, not over the top but just right. The sexy times were freaking off the chain, and I loved that Roger was Dom. With drama, violence, danger, and dirty talking, this book has me ready for the next one. I give this 4 stars.

This is the second book in the Creed MC series but It can be read without reading the first book DUKE so fear not and read on...

Devon who was adopted as an infant, has decided to move from big city life in Chicago to the small town where her birth parents lived. Now both birth parents are deceased and so she sets about learning what had happened and why she was adopted. Little does Devon know the consequences of her secret being revealed. Her trail leads her to accepting a job at Sassy’s bar where she meets …ahem… Meat aka Roger.

From the start Dev and Roger have that instant spark and as far as Dev is concerned the twenty odd year age gap Roger is hot and packing with muscle and his tats just make him irresistible.

The romance and passion between these two was tangible and I could really feel the connection between them!

This is my very first time reading a Jax Hart story. This is not the first story in the Creed story I can never seem to read series books in order lol. But I was not lost, but I will be picking up the first story soon. This is an older man younger woman romance. I freaking loved it. Devon the heroine is looking for answers. She was adopted as a child and recently found out her birth mother lived in Springdale. She needs answers so she moved there. Needing a job that gets her closer to finding answers she walks into Roger's club.

She is immediately attracted to the older man. Roger of course thinks she is too young and now she is an employee. He continually ignores his attraction to her until he reaches his breaking point. But their is one problem Devon is hiding her past from him and she knows Roger hates her birth mother even in her death. She is getting closer to him everyday and eventually she will have to tell him her secret or will he find out before she can tell him.

Let me tell you this story is so good and they describe Roger looking like Jax from "Sons of Anarchy " shall I say more. Once you start this story you will not want to stop reading it. I believe any woman would love this story.
