Katie Douglas and Casey Malone first met at the Tawnee Mountain Resort, she an inspecting engineer, he a relaxing mystery novelist. Together they discovered a kidnapping plot on the mountain. As they tried to unravel the mystery, they uncovered a plot to bomb the high society wedding of the Wittenaur family being held at the resort. An imprisoned Mafia Don vowed revenge on Robert Wittenaur, the former DA that sent him to prison for life and had set in motion the plot to murder the entire family and guests at the wedding. After thwarting both of these plots in an explosive climax to the story, Katie and Casey went their separate ways, promising to get together again. Now, Katie is on her way to spend what she hopes will be a romantic weekend at Casey’s mountain-top retreat in Virginia. Before their evening even begins, the long reach of the mob interrupts their solitude promising that no good deed will go unpunished. Vowing to get even for the couple’s interference at the Tawnee Mountain Resort, the perpetrators of both plots take aim at Katie and Casey. As they dodge Mafia hitmen with the aid of a mysterious caller, Katie and Casey fight for their lives when Revenge Comes Calling.
This is an apparent sequel to books that I have not read so I am not sure how having read them may have enhanced my reading experience but I found this completely engrossing. The characters are numerous but well-developed and exciting. This is an action-packed story so make plenty of time to read. You will not want to put it down.

I loved how fast this novel was in its pacing, I thought that it kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I loved how much action there was throughout and how the author didn't shy away from making sure everything was detailed.
I liked the fact that we got backstory and plenty of descriptions of the world we were in, I could picture it in my head. There is a lot to keep up with, you wont want to get distracted, but if you manage to keep everything straight you will read a very wonderful book. This story is well thought out and flows nicely.
Revenge Comes Calling by R.J. Rosatte is an awesome story that I have read. This is book number one in this awesome series that is writen by a brand new author for me to read. I hgihly recommend this to everyone who loves reading cozy mysteries.

I would like to thank R. J. Rosatte for giving me the opportunity to read, and review his book.
Casey, and Katie are finding themselves in a action-packed situation, and trouble seem to follow wherever they go. Will they get the revenge they long for?
This story has A LOT going on, a little too much for my taste. I found myself thinking; Wow, quick pace and it was like the pace kept building, and everything was very rushed, to get Casey and Katie to where they were going. Casey seemed a bit laid back, and he fell a bit into the background, where Katie was leading the story a bit, she’s bad-ass with all the things she’s doing.
There was a lot of info-dumps, that could have been presented in another way, and many of the lines were quite long, and maybe they could have been split or changed a bit, this could just be me. And everything seemed to be told (Force fed) to me instead of shown. And even from the beginning I had a hard time picturing the things that was going on.
However some of the surroundings that was described stood out quite nicely to me, I just need more of that, in the characters as well.
Revenge Comes Calling is an action-packed mystery adventure - there's never a dull moment. The story focuses on multiple points of view which may sometimes confuse the reader, but we get a really detailed story out of it. There is a little jumping around from character to character, but if you don't mind a busy story with a lot to take in, I think this one should definitely be given a chance. I wrote a more in depth review over on my blog for anyone who'd like a bit more information: https://aquintillionwords.com/2019/03...
The blurb completely drew me in and then once I got started, the writing managed to continue to hook me.
What a wonderful example of how an authors imagination can transport you. I like to be taken away from reality when I read, that’s why I read. I loved that the outside world couldn’t interrupt my focus on the writing once I started. R.J. Rosatte had me completely submersed.
Action and Drama with some great underlying themes woven in.
So much goes on throughout the course of this novel, more than you would ever expect and I'm so glad I took this ride with the author!
Superb writing from FJ Rosatte and a action packed story. There were a lot of moving a parts to this one and I really liked the originality that Rosatte brought.
This novel was very vivid in the descriptions, the writing really jumped off the pages and into my head. Suspense and Mystery laced throughout.
I felt like I got a solid understanding of the characters in the story. There was definitely a lot of action going on that will have readers flipping pages furiously.
