The biblical role of deacons in the church is not a regularly discussed topic in most churches. Matt Ford presents a compelling argument for the importance of deacons, their biblical role, in addition to a fair amount of nuts and bolts. Far from presenting a "here's the 'right' way" perspective, he laid out a helpful guide to begin wading into leadership discussions in your church. If you can't give a detailed answer to "What exactly is the role of a deacon and what do they do?", you should probably give this book a read. Highly recommended, very funny, and was printed with LARGE font.

Great Book

This was a nice book to begin reading on Deacons. I have a few more to read through and this book was informative on the subject matter. The church that I serve in is forming the curriculum for Deacons. Our Pastor assigned this to the collection of guys and this was a great read.
