254 books134 followersI grew up in the Midlands, but when I moved to Wales, over twenty years ago, I found a place to finally put down roots. I married into a farming family and embarked on a massive learning curve which also saw me learning Welsh when my two children were small.
Writing is something I have always wanted to do and I can still remember the thrill of one of my short stories being held up as an example to the class when I was about nine. It wasn’t until my own children were in school that I seriously started to pursue my dream. I joined a local writing group which met every Monday afternoon and being with like-minded people was the boost I needed.
Reading romance had always been my first love, and just about every short story I wrote was romance, so I decided to write my first book. During that process I also attended my first weekend writing course with Kate Walker and joined the RNA’s fabulous New Writers’ Scheme. A short time later I joined Romance Writers of Australia and learnt a lot from entering their competitions. I sought out courses and you can imagine my joy when I discovered Sharon Kendrick’s course in beautiful Tuscany.
Behind the Scandalous Façade, my So You Think You Can Write entry, is my thirteenth book and although only eight have those magic words ‘the end’ written on them the others are definitely part of the learning process I have enjoyed over the last six years.
I love escaping to distant shores with my characters, entering their glamorous world and feeling all the emotions they experience as they discover their love for one another. A love so strong it will overcome all obstacles eventually, leading to that promised happy ever after.

Tiffany Chapelle is a bridesmaid for hire a bit of a different career but it works well for her and when she meets best man Sheikh Jafar Al-Shehri at a wedding he offers her a position that is too good to not accept you see it will get her sister out of debt and provide a good life for her niece but she must become his bride temporarily so as Jafar can secure his crown and kingdom, but the best thing is not to fall in love when this is supposed to be convenient.
Tiffany goes into this with open eyes and looking to the future yes she has always wanted to have the true fairy tale marriage and has saved herself for it but life and circumstances have changed that for her, but a week in Paris before the wedding with Jafar sends her emotions into sensual sparks and then a week as a honeymoon and Tiffany discovers what sensual pleasure Jafar can give and her world is opening up with love.
Jafar will never love and never wants to be a father, yes he needs a wife to save his crown but there will be another who will give him an heir, but spending time with the beautiful Tiffany sets his blood on fire and when she gives him her precious gift on their wedding night the consequences change the way things will go that is if he can convince her to stay.
This is a sizzling sensual emotional story that leads to a beautiful HEA, two strong people who gave into love and opened up, I love a sheikh and Jafar is wonderful yes it took him a bit to realize he loved Tiffany and when he did the way he told her had me sighing, thank you MS Thomas for another fabulous story that I highly recommend this one ticks all of the boxes for a sensual romance that left this reader very happy.

Sheikh Jafar Al-Shehri's desperate he needs to secure his taking the throne in his country which is being threatened by another. A very complicated situation as The only way to keep it is to marry and his sisters child will be his heir. He has no desire to have a child of his own so he decides to buy a bride. Tiffany is desperate she is running her Bridesmaids business but worried as her sister and niece may be evicted from their home, due to a scheming husband. When Jafar sees tiffany and finds out her situation he offers her a deal she can't refuse. He will give a large amount of money to her sister and all she has to do is give him 3 months. Ms. Thomas always gives romance readers such great stories so if you think that is all that will happen forget about it . Tiffany falls under Jafar spell and they both spend their wedding night in each others arms. What happens after is an amazing story of two people who try so hard to fight the attraction to each other until a gift from their wedding night changes the course of the sand in the desert. All i can say is Jafar and Tiffany are two of my favorite characters and Ms. Thomas a marvelous author who's books you will never want to miss.

HIRED TO WEAR THE SHEIKH’S RING by author Rachael Thomas is a May 2018 release by Harlequin Presents series.
Tiffany hired herself out as a bridesmaid for celebrity wedding so Jafar Al-Shehri decided he would hire her—as his bride!
He wanted to stabilize his country after becoming king so he needed a wife by his side and he hired Tiffany to play the role. He had no interest in a real marriage love.
But would he be able to remain uninvolved forever? As Tiffany’s husband, he also came into the role of her lover.
The chemistry between them was scorching hot and they both gave in to their passions. But what would happen when it’s time for Tiffany to go?
HIRED TO WEAR THE SHEIKH’S RING is a highly sensual romance filled with emotions and drama. Author Rachael Thomas brought this scorching hot couple live on the pages. It is a tale of family jealousy, betrayal and redemption. This story would enthrall a reader and keep her hooked until the very last page. I finished this story in one sitting, as I was eager to discover what happened next.
Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

This could have been a great story had the heroine Tiffany Chappelle been more interesting, more sensible, more intuitive - just more! Jamar was lovely - great mix of alpha male and straightforward great guy. Tiffany (and I’m sorry but I don’t find that name at all romantic) was a pain in the butt. Prepared to earn half a million by marrying the Sheikh, she then goes out of her way to be an idiot and constantly tangle with him. After a fabulous sexy week she decides she doesn’t want him to sleep with her anymore! Why? It made absolutely no sense whatsoever. And she continued to behave in an utterly illogical way. If the hero had treated her badly, I would have understood but this was just so obviously a plot device - and it failed. I got really irritated with her.
I was desperate to like this story but I was so annoyed with the heroine I skimmed it to the end. The author writes well and her hero was lovely and delicious but the heroine spoilt it for me.

I love a marriage of convenience and this story didn't disappoint. With more twists and turns than a country lane, it perfectly captured the confusion and fragility of falling in love with someone you shouldn’t.
Hot and sensual, I loved it.

A fast-paced, whimsical take on a modern-day marriage of convenience! We're captivated by the rugged broodiness of the hero from the first page of this book, and watching him quickly connect with the woman who is only supposed to be a glorified business arrangement is a lot of fun. She's quite taken with him, though she knows she shouldn't be, and when they decide to allow themselves to give in to temptation during their short-lived marriage, she falls hook, line and sinker. It was a tad fast moving with a lack of depth to the overall plot, but the dialogue and character personas made it easy to enjoy none-the-less!
Sheikh Jafar Al-Shehri knows within a few minutes in the presence of Tiffany Chapelle that she's the answer to all of his problems! He needs a temporary bride to make sure he secure's his crown from interlopers, and she has a debt that desperately needs paid. It's a win-win situation ... but they weren't supposed to enjoy each other's company and find it so hard to resist the temptation right in front of them!
Tiffany knows it's a short-lived marriage, but she finds herself wishing for those happy ever afters that every woman dreams of ... too bad he's keeping secrets that could come back to bite him!

Rachael Thomas's writing gets better with each new book with her name on it. Hired to Wear the Sheikh's Ring is a splendid, sophisticated romance that sparks with fierce chemistry and intense emotions that keep you hooked. The arrangement between Jafar and Tiffany was bound to blowup. The level of attraction between these two simmer every time they step in the room together and while the author furnished these Jafar and Tiffany with incentives to walk away with their hearts unscathed, love won in the end!

This book does what it’s suppose to do. It’s escapism.
This would’ve been a better read, if there was way less circular narrative; you can open this book at any chapter and immediately know what’s going on because it summarizes itself constantly. Romance would not have been sacrificed if the story was flushed out more. What was written could’ve been condensed into chapters max.
I understand that at the time it was written, this was acceptable; but the fetishization and generalization of those of the Middle East was grating to read.

A beautiful story which has everything. A handsome sheikh who needs to protect the monarchy. A beautifully brave woman who is desperately righting a wrong. Kidnapping drama. Family irritations. A magnificent desert. A stunning falcon and a loyal dog.
I haven’t been reading for a while and am getting back into it with this beautiful story by Rachael. I absolutely loved it for its softness and swirls of hardness against family dramas and two people who knew at first sight.
Highly recommended.

Rachel Thomas does a good job. If I don't write a review right after I read a book, I tend to forget key items in the book until I read. Tiffany is the heroine who is hired to be the bride of Jafar Al-Shehri's temporary wifte to help clear her sister's debt. There is the normal angst and the actual forgetting of roles as she is hired as his bride. It is a good read.

A wonderful passionate read. Loved it.

Although the heroine is blue-eyed, the cover shows a woman with hazel (brown-green) eyes.

The plot was decent. The tension was ok. But the repetition, ugh, it really felt like the author was getting paid per word and copy pasted the internal thought blurbs a few times.

This was ridiculous in a fun, fluffily melodramatic sort of way.
