At this point I have literally read almost all the comics published by this label, and while I didn't love all of them, I liked pretty much everything I read. There's something about the atmosphere of the works that fits my tastes perfectly. And you get to read the comics for free at first! Not that that is very helpful if you like everything so much you end up buying the whole lot.. but I consider that a good thing!
Anyway, as for 鈍色ムジカ - Takuma and Yuki used to be best friends at school, and while Takuma is sad when Yuki leaves for Italy to become an even better cellist, he also wants him to fulfill his dreams. At first, they kept sending each other letters, but at some point Yuki stopped doing so. Years later, Takuma is working for a home care company, and the difficult new client he is entrusted with turns out to be Yuki - who is almost blind after having been in an "accident". Takuma doesn't tell Yuki who he is, but even so the atmosphere between them soon is reminiscent of their time back at school - and then Yuki tells Takuma there was someone he was in love with back then...
I was drawn to this because of the cello, to be honest, but I soon grew very fond of both Takuma and Yuki. And while the fact that Takuma doesn't tell Yuki who he is is a tad constructed, I also love situations like this so I didn't mind. Their relationship is really lovely and the art is gorgeous and I really didn't expect this to love as much as I did. Also, this is the second manga by this label where I was 100% surprised as to who the uke was. That is also a good thing! While that isn't true for all the manga, the seme/uke dynamics here aren't as obvious as in other BL manga.
Seriously, if you can read Japanese, give at least one of their manga a try. My current favourite is "Milk and Brown sugar", which is set in a cafe. (Another setting I love.) You can have a look at their line-up and read samples of all their manga here.

Hab ich das Buch wegen dem Cover und dem Klappentext gekauft? Absolut. Wusste ich, dass da einfach nackte Typen zu sehen sind? Nein. Fand ich das Buch, die Story und Charaktere trotzdem gut. Vielleicht.

2021: Changed from 3 to 5 stars.
2018: I know it's in the blurb but I felt a bit uncomfortable with the fact that Takumi didn't tell Yuki who he is when they meet again after such a long time.
Overall, I think the story and their relationship progressed a bit too fast. Almost as if this was planned as a single volume. Apart from that, I think the story and the art are great. I especially liked the episodes that showed them as kids because you can already see Takuma's caring character, how Takuma wanted to see Yuki succeed even though it meant that they would be separated. I'm looking forward to the next volume.

So ganz weiß ich nicht, was ich von dem Manga und vor allem von der Story halten soll.
Einerseits mag ich die Charaktere und auch der Zeichenstil ist ganz hübsch anzuschauen, aber die Geschichte wirkt gehetzt. Ich habe gehört, dass es eigentlich ein Einzelband sein sollte, was das Ganze erklären würde. Jedenfalls hätte man den einen Band locker auf zwei aufteilen können.
Da die Reihe nur vier Bände hat, werde ich die sie auf jeden Fall weiterlesen, in der Hoffnung, dass der Rest der Geschichte besser ist, Potential ist nämlich auf jeden Fall vorhanden.

I actually read this manga in german and if I’m corrected, it’s not even licensed in another language but the japanese original and as said german. Nonetheless, I’m writing this review in english, so more people can read it and future-readers are informed if it ever gets translated elsewhere.
Okay. //inhales deeply// I truly understand why this rarely gets licensed... This first volume of a series which consists in 4 volumes in total was a real disappointment, to my mind. Everything was so overall plain and standard, it couldn’t entertain me at all.
At the beginning, there are two close friends. One of them leaves to study in a far off country and their ways are separated. Ten years go by and then the left behind friend encounters his old friend who had an accident and will be almost blind until his eyes are operated. One of them soon recognizes the other. The other one needs more time. And so on and so on. Seriously, this could have been about friendship, about growing up, about love and feelings and all that great stuff. But instead, everything, their entire relationship which they are unsure about, circles around the question of being gay. I’ve rarely read a yaoi manga which uses this word more often. It’s always ”I’m gay, this is why....”, ”they ... because we’re gay”, ”this looks gay”, ”but I’m not gay” ... It seems to be everywhere. If they just had treated it like it was normal because I truly think, there’s nothing wrong about loving the same sex or whatever orientations there are. It’s fine. But here, these two guys seemed to struggle a lot but in a way that to my mind wasn’t reasonable and also overemphasized. I’m sorry to say so.
And in the end, what did I as reader get? The too-predictable sex scene! Of course! //heavy sigh// If this scene just had been good, it could have compensated the lamentation from before. But nooooo! It was so overly poor and again a lot of whining and I as reader couldn’t...feel it. Maybe I already had been so turned off at this moment that I simply couldn’t feel close to them anymore. I don’t know.
Though there’ll be 3 more volumes of this series, I think I won’t buy the other ones. Maybe, if the content of volume 2 sounds REALLY interested, I might give it another try... The problem is, the end of volume 1 didn’t give me any reason to read further and didn’t make me want to know more. It ended and the story felt complete. That’s it. Honestly, I’ve rarely been this disappointed in a manga ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Después de una relectura para poder escribir una reseña no puedo más que darle 5 estrellas por un motivo muy simple: historia cuqui con cero toxicidad.
Nibiiro Musica trata sobre dos amigos de la infancia, Takuma y Yuki que se reencuentran después de 10 años. Siendo asistente social, a Takuma le encargar que se haga cargo de una persona que necesita ayuda a causa de que, por un accidente, no puede ver y el anterior asistente dejó el puesto. Cuando va a ver a su paciente, Takuma no puede creerse que sea su amigo Yuki, el cual es chelista y que se marchó a estudiar a Italia. Bastante dolido por no haber tenido noticias de su amigo (pero no por venganza), Takuma decide no decirle a Yuki quien es y los dos empiezan a pasar tiempo juntos y a Takuma descubre a un Yuki diferente al que él conocía y del cual no podrá separarse.
No nos engañemos, esta historia es un cliché con patas desde el principio hasta el final del primer tomo. Es decir, es la típica historia de amor entre dos amigos que se conocían de adolescentes y se reencuentran. Eso no la hace para nada mala, sino predecible. ¿Importa? La verdad es que para mi gusto no, ya que esta historia es la típica dulce y mona que me gusta leer después de cantidades ingentes de dramas lacrimógenos y destroza almas que leo constantemente. Aunque tiene una mini dosis de drama, es muy pequeño y la autora va muy directa al grano sin regordearse en lo que sucede.
El desarrollo de los acontecimientos se dan muy deprisa y eso hace que el tomo sea muy dinámico y no aburra al lector. De este modo, cuando uno lo finaliza puede entrever que en los siguientes tomos la autora pretende desarrollar la relación amorosa de los protagonitas y eso siempre me parece bien ya que, aunque podría haberse quedado en un tomo único porque la trama se cierra, me gusta que las obras bl se alarguen porque en un tomo único siempre falta el qué pasó después y me interesa ver cómo se desarrolla y evolucionan Takuma e Yuki.
Y tiene un dibujo precioso que alegran mucho la vista y va acorde con lo mono de la historia en sí y de los propios personajes. Y tiene un smut muy bonito y, como digo, sin toxicidad y en el momento que se debe y totalmente justificado.
Puede que este manga no sea para todos los gustos, sobre todo aquellas personas que prefieren algo menos cliché y más complejo, pero para pasar un rato tranquilo y leer algo mono que te saca más de una sonrisa y un oohhhh, pues lo recomiendo mucho.

This one was kind of cute and the whole concept is different and interesting.
But why are Manga-characters always so over-the-top emotional and dramatic? WHY?! That annoys me so much - like, why do you have to tell him you love him immediately? You will not die from not saying those words... duh... idiot.
And one more additional thought: do Mangaka not realize that it is rather uncomfortable for people to be addressed with their names several times per conversation or per minute? Seeing how many times characters in Mangas call each other by their names is just uncomfortable to read and I cannot imagine how these characters are supposed to handle that. Calling someone by their name again and again in a short period of time is a method used in the interrogation of criminals. There is nothing romantic about that. It's annoying and (like most Mangas, but that's not the point here) extremely unrealistic. So I will only give this a 4/5 rating.

“Der Klang meines Herzens” ist so schön, dass ich es gar nicht in Worte fassen kann. Der Zeichenstil ist wunderschön und das Cover ist von jedem einzelnen Band sind meiner Meinung nach perfekt.
Takuma arbeitet bei einem Hilfsdienst und wird einem Cellist mit einer Augenverletzung zugewiesen. Der Mann stellt sich als sein Kindheitsfreund Yuki heraus, der nach dem Schulabschluss nach Italien gegangen ist, um die Musik professionell fortzuführen. Der Kontakt brach ab, doch wie soll Takuma ihm sagen wer er ist, wenn er gerade erfährt, dass Yuki all die Zeit in ihn verliebt war?

Aaaawwwwww qué monada. Me han gustado bastante. Yuki es maravilloso y Takuma, aunque creo que debería haberle dicho antes quién era, es muy mono y se nota que quiere mucho a Yuki.
Es verdad que podría quedarme aquí porque acaban juntos y felices, pero quiero saber quién atacó a Yuki y si recibió su merecido y si Takuma se entera de lo que realmente le pasó, y quiero saber por qué Yuki dejó de hablar a Takuma cuando fueron a la uni. Espero que lo resuelvan en los siguientes. Planeo seguir porque me ha entretenido y hecho sentir y son muy monos.

Tenía miedo porque muchas veces se muestran relaciones y dinámicas de poder muy tóxicas en este tipo de mangas, pero al final no fue nada escandaloso. Los personajes son bastante adorables, el único fallo que veo son cambios muy bruscos en la relación de los protagonistas, pero continuaré con la colección.

Un comienzo de serie prometedor, bastante rápido desde que se presentan a los personajes hasta que empieza la trama en sí. Los tomos son muy cortos y muy rápidos de leer, pero creo que van construyendo un buena historia.

Me esperaba que la historia no fuese tan rápida, creo que eso es lo que ha hecho que aunque me guste, no me encante, porque me esperaba una historia más progresiva y algo más soft tipo Given. Aún así me ha gustado.

It was good, I'm not sure if I will continue on with the story though. It wrapped up in a way that I find satisfying and I'm not really interested in continuing... Who knows, might change my mind in the future.

3.5 stars - I didn't like the flow of the story, it felt more like several short stories than one continuous story (the time jumps didn't help with that). Aside from that I really liked it! I will take a look at the managaka's other works.

Hacía mucho tiempo que quería leer esta saga, no sabía nada de ella, más allá de que era un BL, pero sus portadas me enamoraron, así que en cuanto pude compre los tomos.
Este primero ha sido bastante flojito, no me ha enganchado demasiado y los conflictos que han querido presentar han sido provocados por ellos o se han solucionado muy rápido, lo que realmente no abre puertas a continuar con la colección, sinceramente, si me dijeras que es un tomo único te creería sin dificultad.
Takuma y Yuki eran amigos en la infancia, pero con el tiempo pierden el contacto, un día, Takuma es enviado a ayudar a un nuevo paciente que está cegado por un accidente, y rápidamente se da cuenta de que es Yuki, pero en lugar de decírselo, lo esconde y permite que Yuki se tome confianzas y le revele algunos de su más íntimos pensamientos, hasta que semanas (?), meses (?) más tarde lo descubre por un desliz y lo echa, pero al cabo de dos horas le perdona y vuelven a ser tan amigos. ¿Cómo? Creo que es un abuso de la confianza muy grande, yo no creo que pudiera perdonar tan fácilmente a un “amigo” que me hiciera eso, se ha aprovechado de que no le podía reconocer para sacarle información.
Como mínimo tiene la decencia de esperarse a que recupere la vista antes de tener una noche salvaje, bien por él, por haberse informado a fondo como funciona para así evitar dolores y disgustos, eso me parece bien.
¿Habeis leído esta saga? Que os pareció?
