Short, sweet, safe and some steam. That's what I was looking for and that is what I got with this story. I love the blue collar hero falling in love at first sight with the sweet girl next door.

-no cheating
-no pushing away
-instalove
-older man/younger woman
-safe - neither are with anyone else after meeting
-no om drama
-OW drama- an old FB shows up and causes some grief. Could have done without that.
-just ok epilogue. It was only 3 months out so not nearly enough to satisfy me

Love a story where I smile through the whole story. ow drama in the form of a ons from years ago, but it was only a blip and the H dealt with it quickly. Didn't cause any problems between them. Didn’t get past the first chapter. It was trash. The writing style made me ill. I didn’t like how it was written in first person and the chapters were set up so weirdly I just couldn’t be bothered.

There are better books out there worth my time 👻

This one... uhmmmm it was a miss for me it was a great book.. fast pace okay read.. the problem for me was well Dex was to pushy.. they only met 1 day had one date and he was bossing her around to live with him.. i get OTT alphas.. but dude wait atleast few weeks or few days before you do that.... i felt Emma didn't have a backbone..she just gave in to what Dex wanted :/

Low angst, no cheating, no om drama mentions of ons she did caused drama for a moment but Dex shut her down, dramaish, sexy times.. not a manwhore and a virgin gal..

Dex sees Emma and thinks: this one’s mine. Grr. Emma sees Dex and thinks: what a fine, muscled alfalfa male. Then they make out for a couple of days!

Honestly, this book is like Alexa Riley-esque novellas.

Secondly, is it just me or is Dex a little too excited about Emma being a ‘pure, untouched teenage virgin’? They both protest this by insisting they also like each other’s company, but… honey, when have ya’ll not been pawing at each other?

Plus, Emma’s a doormat who has probably said three words to Dex in total. Dex bulldozes over her because he’s such a dominant, mature, virile alfalfa man who just knows what he wants. And then in the next scene he whines about how much he isn’t a little boy — really, Dex? ‘Cause it seems to me like you just saw something shiny and made grabby hands, without considering that the shiny thing has hopes, dreams, and her own frickin’ apartment/job!

Still, I’m used to this over-the-top nonsense. It really polishes my potatoes, if you know what I mean. For now, though, I’m kicking this one off my shelf.

Not Bad

This book wasn't too bad. This was a very quick Insta love romance, it is the story of Dex and Emma.
I had a few problems with it one being the age difference, he was 32 and she was 19. I usually don't have a problem with age differences but she came off as a little too innocent. Second I really wanted to know how long he was celibate for, this is just a preference for me. It stated that it had been a while but isn't specific. I liked Dex! He was definitely an OTT sexy alpha male! This is the first book that I have read from Tory Baker and I will definitely read more from her!

This was a reread for me after reading a book that bored me to tears. I love a good bulldozer and a man that falls in love and falls in love hard and I got both with the H in this story.

HR always calls her baby and buckles her seatbelt. He wants to impregnate her and have her move in with him within the first two days of their relationship. They dont move slow 😂😂 and I love that!!!

The ending became a little slow for me so one star off but this is always a fun, safe reread for me.

Short, sweet and full of heat, Tory Baker does it again with a May-December instalove quickie. Lightning strikes for general contractor Dex when he sees Emma for the first time, and he pulls out all the stops to win over the woman he knows is the one. Dex’s caveman routine may reduce Emma to stuttering and stumbling but it doesn’t take long to convince her that they’re meant to be.

I loved every minute of this book it pulled me in right from the very first page to the end. This book is such a good feel good read.

Dex has grown up with the stories of his family saying once you see you forever love you will know it instantly, it wasn't much of a thought until he sees Emma..... she will be his make no mistake his heart has been taken.

Emma, well she works hard shes not had all that much experience in life she has always fantasised in finding her happily ever after but doesn't realise how easy it will come to her.

After meeting one another they both experience explosive chemistry.

These two are meant for one another and I love how beautifully the author gave us that.

This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. If you’re looking for a easy to read insta love then you will like this story. The writing style is easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline sweet. I liked the hero and heroine. I liked that Dex believed in soul mates. As soon as he saw Emma, he knew she was his. I found Emma’s shyness sweet. I liked that she took a chance and gave Dex a chance despite her shyness. The chemistry between Dex and Emma was clear to see; I liked them as a couple.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read.

Loved Dex and Emma

Shy Emma sees the hottest man she has ever seen shirtless at a construction site. He sees her checking him out.
Dex sees a young, cute, curvy brunette, checking him out. The shy blush, he can't take his eyes off her. The men in his family have a history of finding and knowing their women at first sight. He just found his.
Sweet and steamy, older man younger women romance. Dex is all alpha. Emma is shy and on the submissive side. He makes her feel safe. Great epilogue to wrap up their story.

Emma is more hesitant and resistant to him and his possessive ways of her but at the same time she can't help but give in to him.

Fans of Alexa Riley and Jenika Snow with enjoy this instalove story!
Dex knows the moment he sees Emma that she is the one. Emma just realises she tripped a made a fool of herself in front of a gorgeous guy.
When Dex swoops in and knocks Emma off her feet, it's intense alpha male one-o-one.
This novel is a breeze to read and will have you hooked from the first line.

2.75 stars. Unfortunately, I didn't love this book. I felt like I was reading a mediocre Alexa Riley type book that was trying to be more. It was more drawn out, but with less feelings. Dex was overbearing. Emma was only 19, but called him honey. There was too much side story stuff going on. I ended up losing interest when even the sex scenes bored me. It wasn't an awful book; it just felt kind of "meh" and uninteresting.

Emma, Emma, Emma you really should have ran the minute Dex said this was forever - a whole 5 minutes after meeting you!
This short story started off at full force, right to the mother effing point! And ended with a bang.
I was kinda weirded out with the over the top Alpha male role Dex had going on. (And nothing weirds me out!)
I know this was some kind of insta Love, but Dex seemed more like a crazy MOFO! His character was over the top, and frankly Emma should have ran far far away!

DeX and Emma

Really enjoyable read from the very first page. DeX is a contractor, busy working when he lies eyes on Emma walking by and he is smitten. He knows she is the one and he is going to do anything and everything to get his girl. Emma is 19, finally away from the suffocating pressure of her family to be someone she isn't. But when she meets DeX, she finds what she was seeking for. Great plot, likeable characters and red hot romance. Highly recommended

Hear me out for a short book this was cute I liked it but the H in this book omg he was over the top aggressive rude and mean and definitely a bully his actions and the way he spoke to the h were NOT ok and no woman should ever feel pressured to do something they do NOT want to do

I will read the next book that I have of Tory because over read other ones I like from her but this was not it

I also didn’t like how the h called the H “honey”.
It seemed like an endearment from a parent to s child. Also the H is alpha and he doesn’t appear to be a “honey” type either. Just my opinion.
