Sandra Lee isn't one of my favorite Food Network Stars, but she got me when I saw the title of Money Saving Meals. Inside she had a few good points on how to "dress up" pre made meals, but overall was disappointed at the lack of money saving tips. Oh well.

Some of the recipes in here are good, but as a cheapskate extraordinaire, I would NOT consider any of these recipes money-saving at all. I honestly don't know where she's coming from, using that subtitle for her book. Still, the recipes are fast and simple, and when prepared, rather impressive. Healthwise, I really have to make adjustments to her recipes because I am watching my weight since most of the recipes are rather rich.

If anyone doesn't know what to get me for Christmas, this is the list. Any Semi-Homemade book will do. A lot of people claim Sandra Lee isn't a "real" cook, but anything or anyone that can inspire me to put something new on the table works for me. Love this book, as I do all of her books, due to the ease in which these recipes are mastered and how the pictures show you exactly what you are getting every time.

There was quite a few good recipes in here that I will save! This book is right up there with Semi-Homemade II.
