Mum forced this into my hands when I told her I was saving money for a few future adventures. I was sceptical (mostly because the title sounded cheesy) but the tips provided some nice validation of the stuff I already do, and there were a few ideas I hadn't tried before, mostly in the cleaning section.

Actually, the cleaning section was the best bit. I already use baking soda and vinegar for a lot of my cleaning, but this book goes into way more detail with some great task-specific mixes of various cheap, green cleaning solutions. And as it's an Aussie book the brand recommendations are actually familiar to me for once. The single drop of coloured dye to differentiate your re-purposed cleaning bottles is a good idea, as I often get them confused.

So while I'm pretty much already a cheapskate it only took a couple hours to read and I got a few new ideas.

I have read a few self help finance books. They all seem to say pretty much the same things which seem really obvious to me.

I did like the part on Making your own cleaners though as its something I wanted to start doing as my cleaners run out.

It was okay, a few little handy hints but that's about all, nothing hugely eye-opening.

Bought this on impulse, will see what I think of it.
Edit: Skimmed through it, knew most of it, will give it to someone I know who really needs it!
