This piece of utter nonsense just about epitomizes the Emile Cammaerts observation, "The first effect of not believing in God is to believe in anything," Emile Cammaerts in The Laughing Prophet, discussing the Oracle of the Dog by G.K. Chesterton. Foolish people will persist in searching for wisdom and spiritual comfort in all the wrong places.

A great adventure for the mind and soul
I was encouraged to read this by a dear friend. I'm glad I did. This book as fed my soul and peeked an even greater interest in me.

This is a story written at the end of the 19th century, available for free through Project Gutenberg.
Through its language and construction it is a testament of the period that produced it. However, it is a small sized novel and pretty easy to read.
It features what happens in the Temple of Isis when one of her Vestals and a Princess are close to their death, what the Hierophant and the High Priestess and the Temple attendants succeed in doing to save both women - switch their souls to help them keep the bodies alive.
How their new personalities develop and how they are both transformed by Love it's the core of the story.
I am awe at how beautiful, strange, enchanting and dear I have found this book.

An interesting short story about the ancient Egyptian beliefs in reincarnation and the immortal soul. I personally wasn't comfortable with some of the story but it wasn't necessarily triggering or bad. It shows that death is often just the changing of bodies as the soul continues in a journey and overtime the soul remembers its past lives and purposes.

A beautiful story of soul mates and true love

This is a story set in ancient Egyptian days. It is a pretty good short story from 1899.
