I found this book from the reviews on Vanilla Clouds and Lemon Drops

I think i've seen this book somewhere before, and it has the vibes of flashy girly party food recipes, and i think i had the same misgivings as the reviewer, about what to expect

she tried the Spicy Corn Cakes with an Avocado Salsa
Chocolate Chip Cookies, Olive Oil and Sea Salt Bread, Grilled Indonesian Coconut Chicken, Spicy Crab Cakes, and Prawn Dumplings in Fragrant Thai Broth.

the crab cakes are usually the make or break recipe for restaurants and cookbooks, so i took some interest here.... the mixture was incredibly wet, and it was a super moist and very nice crab cake, but because of recipe it is light on the crab and heavy on the other items, so it might not be as rich as some would wish for.

They loved the book, though some recipes they would definately tweak, and if i can recall less than a decade back, i think this book was one of those borderline maybes, i just never found enough reviews on...

Her other books are two Dorling-Kindersley books

The Cooking Book which has i think three different titles in the reprint editions with nearly the same cover, oddly enough
and her DK book on Hors D'Oeuvres/Canapes

And then a slim three book series of collaborations at the British bookstore 'Books for Cooks'
which is a selection of cool recipes from famous cookbooks and some by their own staff.
They are three thin books with even a best of edition.

[One Year at Books for Cooks Vol 1 2 3]

All the books are well liked, but no superstar reviews as the 'greatest ever'
