TW: Suicide, death of a parent, verbal abuse.

I picked up this book on whim in the library.
I wasn’t really know what it’s about and I let it be.

This book is so moving, quiet but loud and eerie in a special way. I guess it’s because the illustrations that create that kind of atmosphere. I truly adore them.
Reading this gave me that nostalgic feeling, sweet and sad at the same time. But, the whole story is quite moving. It breaks you but it heals you too.

I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much actually. What a little gem.

I really liked the drawing style and how it fits the emotions if the story perfectly. However, I had a really hard time following the story. I understand that this is intended as the comic is precisely about the vague emotions of a child but it still left me unsatisfied but maybe that’s just me.

This was cute.

The plot is actually very depressing...
Sooo it doesnt directly deal with mental health, but rather with the consequences.
After a mother commits suicide her family is left in shambles. The father doesnt wanna accept her suicide while trying to take care of their children. The daughter turns her back on her family and is barely home. All of this while the son longs for nothing more than a fixed family.

However, the artstyle was adorable and im glad u dont need to be able to draw perfect hands in order to be published (srsly the hands looked soo weird most of the time). Also i think this book suffers under a serious lack of color, considering its focus on aesthetics but maybe its just me

Bellissimo

Sad and beautiful. I liked the atmosphere of this book a lot, it's dark and surreal but also gentle? I'm not very good at reviewing, but I enjoyed reading this comic.
