Initially, I was planning on giving this a four-star review. Overall, I liked the plot dealing with Rosa Canina, but I felt it came too early. Having the election for the next year/the possible intrusion of another character in book 4? It just feels very soon.
Then the second half of the book arrived, and Kashiwagi showed up. His mere inclusion brings the book down another star, from his uncomfortable relationship with Sachiko and the predatory way he behaves. I was hoping he’d have a half-decent relationship with Yuuki, but he doesn’t. I don’t like the way he’s shown off.
