We can't take these civil rights accomplishments for granted. That's why it is important that these stories get passed on in multiple ways, including via comics and graphic histories.

This graphic history includes the terror of white payback, but maybe doesn't convey how hard it is to help 17,000 Black residents of Montgomery to instantly find alternative transportation. Having just read MLK Jr.'s history of the boycott the project management component of the event was considerable.

I am using this book for my literature cluster and I think it is awesome. It is a good way to have your children read information text but in a fun way!
