Excessive wording and space fillers, repetitions and mixing some basic Javascript explanation with main topics made the experience of reading not excel.

Overall I think it's worth it but only if you've never heard of things like callbacks, promises etc. If you have the slightest idea of what these are, I'd skip this book. It is often messy and tangled in phrasing but even so, is able to provide a pretty structured overview of nodejs.
