Heath:

My relationships are nothing more than casual dating with booty-calls.
A one-hour-stand before my mother's wedding reception? Perfect.

Georgia:

I may have been born a romantic, but I've grown jaded about love. Being practically disowned by one's father will do that to a girl. Now all I want is solitude and the occasional anonymous pick-up.
Occasional? Okay, so I haven't managed that yet.
Daddy Dearest’s wedding seems like a great place to start.

My first read by this author, a quick-ish BDSM read, Georgia and Heath hook up at their parents wedding (step-siblings that have never met) the hook up is cut short and when they come face-to-face again, opinions of each other are at an all time low for different reasons

A steamy read that has potential.

Intense story
I LOVED the characters in this very interesting and relevant story. Georgia is an amazing but sad and lonely lady. Her career and passion is rescuing abused women and children which puts her on the razor edge of danger. She has seen a lot of awful things. Georgia’s family consists of a father who treats her with indifference and open hostility. If only she was a boy he’d be happy. Her much loved mom died over 20 years ago, when Georgia was only 4 and that was when her father turned away from her.
Finally, her dad has found another lady and Georgia is late for the wedding. Her day was intense and scary with two rescues and Georgia doesn’t think she can face her belligerent father so she grabs a drink at the bar to calm down. A gorgeous man comes into the bar and grabs a drink. Heath’s mother just got married but her groom’s daughter was a no-show. How rude! Heath’s heard stories about how awful and selfish she is and he is furious that it’s upset his beloved mother. Heath’s eyes lock on a beauty sitting alone and they look to be on the same page…an angry lay…and this is how he meets his new step-sister, Georgia.
Heath and Georgia’s relationship goes from hate to friends to a great love story. Heath is a BDSM Dominate and believes Georgia will be his submissive. There are some hot explicate scenes sprinkled throughout the story. The tension between Georgia and her father for most of the story is so sad. Why does he treat her so horribly? In the end, after almost losing Georgia, her dad comes around. There are scenes of abuse including the gut-retching attack on Georgia from one of the abusers. I loved the story and Heath and Georgia are wonderful characters. Linda

After enjoying Sadie Haller's Dominant Cord, I decided to try this and I was absolutely wowed. I read it in one sitting. She's starting a new interconnected series here, as far as I can tell, but this volume obviously stands on its own. Our heroine, Georgia, is deeply troubled by her past and very negative relationship with her father. When she doesn't make it to his wedding or reception and instead has a "quickie" at the hotel, she discovers the next day that the object of the encounter is her new step-brother, who is furious to discover who she is, because he's very protective of his mother. But the two of them have chemistry and what starts out as "hate-f**king" (with BDSM) turns into something much more.

Haller has created two wonderful characters here. Both have depth and multiple layers and the development of the relationship is quite convincing, especially the way Georgia tries to pull away whenever Heath gets too serious or starts pushing her. The turn-around in other relationships seems a trifle rushed at the end of the book, but not completely unrealistic.

All in all, a great beginning to a new series, and the next book is set up at the end.

Wow – a great read! I had a little trouble at first because I really hated Heath on ‘sight’. He just made me so angry with his assumptions and presumptions! But it goes to show you that people can change, and by the middle, I’m really rooting for the happy ending!

Georgia and Heath meet under strange circumstances that only get stranger when they realize their connection. Heath has a loving relationship with his mother, and wants to make sure she is happy. Georgia does not enjoy a close relationship with her father, and their hostile interactions threaten Heath’s mother’s happiness. Can they find a way forward so everyone can be happy?

Georgia’s job takes her into dangerous situations, but she puts herself in even more danger and has to lay low. Heath fears for her safety, and needs to protect her – but not from himself. Can she be the submissive he needs? Can he be the Dom for her?

I look forward to following this series as it develops. The author has a definite skill for weaving the story and drawing the reader in for the ride.

Ahhh, what can I say except that I was a little disappointed in this book? Okay, let me be honest. I was mighty disappointed. *sad face* I was a fan of the SH's Frisky Beavers series that she co-authored with Ainsley Booth. I have enjoyed AB's solo work and I thought it was high time that I give SH's solo stuff a try.

Unfortunately, I did not find any spark in this book for me at all. I found the narration a bit dry. I thought that only Georgia's character had a back story while I was really disconnected from Heath despite the story being told in dual POV. I guess the most disappointing part for me was that I found no chemistry between the two main characters. It was a struggle finishing this book that when I finally got to the end, the HEA felt more for me than for the love story.

Ugh! Maybe it was just me because I have read some reviews on how good this book was supposed to be. I'm not saying no to SH's work forever. I am determined to find that wow factor that I found in the Frisky Beavers series--not right away but one day.

Well this wasn’t great, but not terrible.
It lacks details, moves quickish while lacking these details. I wasn’t feeling convinced of the I Love You’s. I wish we got more conversation of why Georgia’s father acted the way he did. I don’t know how old Georgia is. I was under the impression Georgia was familiar with BDSM, but Heath wants her to research it. Then there is not discussion between them about this research. I could go on. Again lack of details, holes in story.
Book 2 is about Katie and Alasdaire, who were both in this book. I’m not sure how book 2 can be labelled a standalone. Doesn’t matter because I am not reading it. The book blurb on Amazon is very vague and not catching my interest at all.
This story left me wibble wobbly about reading anymore of this author.

It took a bit to get into the story and at the beginning, I could not stand Heath. So many presumptions and he was quite the alpha hole. Georgia is an independent, stubborn to a fault but caring individual that just wants some love. She is good at her job though no one really knows that she has a job. Make you think of all the assumptions people can make. When they are wrong it can definitely make an ass out of you and me. Some really good steam and a bit of the BDSM that spiced things up. It is definitely a work of fiction though I thought it was a good read.

I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.

Chief of Perversion was everything I wanted and more. Heath and Georgia completely stole the show for me—their chemistry was electric from the start and only got hotter with every page. Heath’s unapologetic dominance paired with Georgia’s strength and fire made for such a dynamic, addictive read.

What I loved most was that it wasn’t just about the spice (though trust me, it was scorching 🔥). The emotional pull between them gave the story real depth, making me root for their connection just as much as I devoured their scenes together.

This book is filthy, fun, and utterly captivating—exactly the kind of bold, kinky, and heartfelt romance I crave. Sadie Haller nailed it.

Heath's relationships are nothing more than casual dating with booty calls. A one-hour stand before his mother's wedding reception? That's perfect in his opinion.

Georgia may have always been a born romantic, but over time she's grown jaded about love. Being practically disowned by her father will do that to a girl. Now, all she really wants is solitude and the occasional anonymous pick-up or one-night-stand. It's all her heart can take.

Occasional? Okay, so her heart really hasn't figured out how to manage that one yet.
But, Daddy Dearest's wedding, that seems like a great place to start.

Chief of Perversion is a Power Brokers Book by Sadie Haller. All I can start by saying is that I loved all the characters in this book and that they are all so very interesting and each one is relevant to the story.

I found Georgia to be an amazing lady but at the same time, I found her to be sad and really very lonely. She has created a career around her passion for rescuing abused women and children. This puts her not only on a razor's edge but also right dead centre for danger and retaliation and retribution from the very abusers she is rescuing these women and children from.

Over the course of her life, Georgia has seen a lot of horrific things. Georgia's family was messed up as she was growing up. Her father, a man who was supposed to love and protect her, treated her with indifference, open hostility, and hatred. There were times that Georgia wished she had been born a boy, she was sure that then she would have been happy. Georgia's mom, the one woman who loved her truly and freely and without reserve had died over 20 years ago. Georgia had only been 4 years old at the time, and that was when her father had turned his back on her. She really never knew any different. She could only imagine a different life if her mom hadn't died.

Georgia's dad finally decides that it's time to move on and finds another lady and Georgia is late to the wedding. Georgia's day didn't get off to the greatest start and it was rather intense and rather scary. And it took not one but two rescues and Georgia honestly doesn't think that she's in any state that she can face her uncaring belligerent father, so instead she stops at the bar and grabs a drink to calm her frayed nerves.

A gorgeous man walks up to the bar and grabs a drink for himself. Heath's mother had just got married but the groom's daughter was a no-show. He couldn't believe how rude she had been to her father. Heath's heard all the stories about how totally awful and selfish she is and now she is furious that her father is moving on and getting married again and moving on from her dear mother. Heath looks around him and his eyes lock on a stunning beauty sitting all alone and they look to be on the same page...or so he hopes...an angry lay....and it's in this way that he is introduced to his new step-sister Georgia.

Heath and Georgia's relationship moves from pure hate to slowly becoming friends to kindling a great love story. As we move through the story, we learn that Heath is a BDSM Dominant and he believes that Georgia will not only work as his submissive, but she will find enjoyment and release in that position.

Sadie gives us some explicit spicy scenes through this story and the tension and chemistry between Georgia and Heath is well written and enjoyable.

I found the tension between Georgia and her father to be so sad and heartbreaking. The fact that even after moving on past the death of his first wife he still can't stop treating her the way that he has since Georgia's mother passed is just agonizing. And the saddest part of all, it's only when he nearly loss Georgia forever, that he finally comes around and wants to change their relationship.

The scenes of abuse that Sadie has included have a purpose, but that doesn't mean that they are not gut-retching and the full attack on Georgia from all her abusers is just horrific.

While some of the scenes are difficult, they still serve their purpose to help move the story forward. I truly did love Heath and Georgia not only together as a couple but separately as individual characters. They are both truly wonderful characters who you just can't help but fall in love with and cheer for.

I can't help but say if you can handle the trigger warnings that come with this book then you should give Chief of Perversion by Sadie Haller a read. I really enjoyed this book and I am sure you will too.

Chief Of Perversion is book 1 in the Power Brokers series and my first read by this author. It's Georgia and Heath's
story and it's quite a journey. Each of these characters have issues of their own and it seems they have pretty much the same opinions of the opposite sex. A one night stand appears to suit them both exchanging no names, no nothing. Just a one and done. At least until they see each other the next day when her Dad and his Mom is getting married. This story is a bit surprising and was quite enjoyable. I'm excited to check out more of this authors work.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to rate this book. It’s a good story and there were parts that had me almost in tears because I could understand exactly how Georgia was feeling about those things but then there were parts where I just didn’t like her character. I get why she acted the way she did but goodness.. Heath took awhile to grow on me. The way he talked about and treated Georgia in the beginning irked me and yes he only knew what her father told him but still! They do figure things out and get their HEA. Another I recommend. This isn’t really dark but definitely MIND YOUR TRIGGERS!

Rushed & Rough

I picked up this book for free in the Stuff Your Kindle Event. I expected spice and it delivered. But that's all it did. Book needs to be edited for errors and inconsistencies. Heck. Even the monumental I love you moment is botched. They say it casually on the phone then later in the same chapter have their first exchange of the solemn words and get choked up. Make up your mind. And not a good representation of BDSM. 3/5 stars.

Love love this book

Second time I've read this book. Wowza.

Heath seduced Georgia in a bar. Oh my goodness. Heath walks out on Georgia. Then the world explodes in both their faces.

Heath is so sexy and alpha I wanted to be his book girlfriend. Georgia has so many issues and Heath is man enough and surprisingly gentle enough to stand beside her and see her through them.

The story is edgy, kinky, and has a mystery. A must read.

a great fast paced love story

Loved this book. Georgia rings so clever in my mind as a character who wants to make her way and truly cares for those in need, often putting herself at risk. And it’s those kind of females that need a Heath to show up time and time again.
A great fast paced love story.

Definitely idealized, but oh what sweet fantasy fulfillment. Kinky heroine and hero, a quick slide into love and kink. And the heroine goes from being estranged from her father to having him apologize and become a doting, loving person.

great read

Wasn’t sure of this book as I started reading it, but then became so invested in it I couldn’t stop. Loved the characters and friends, not so much Georgia’s dad. Would have liked to hear about retribution against the cop but it was a really good story.

This was my first read by this author but won’t be my last. I enjoyed the spice, story, characters, and twists in this one. What started as a one night stand turned into love with unexpected other situations involved. Check this one out! You won’t be disappointed!

First time I read this author and the book was good. Somewhat short but it gets the point across. This two hook up and then it all falls apart. See what happens.
