I found this to be repetitive at times, boring at others, and occasionally contradictory. There was an emphasis on grammar and professional writing yet it had several grammar mistakes, typos, and incorrect sentence structures. The author loves to mention a topic only to say some variation of “but more on this later.” Why bring up a topic to just ignore it? If it’s important enough to mention now, tell me more about the topic now. This happened several times through out the book.
Not to mention, it’s out dated. Research 101 tells you not to use a source that is more than ten years old. So why the course assigned this edition is beyond me. But I can’t fault the author for that.
Overall, I learned a great deal about becoming a paralegal but I don’t see myself referencing it in the future or recommending this particular edition to aspiring paralegals.

A complete and comprehensive book about paralegalism for someone entering the career path for the first time.
It’s dense and detailed but a great support for understanding both the higher level job description and duties as well as the details and minutia involved in the career choice.

This was the primary textbook in my Paralegal Certificate course, which I took through the BARBRI Center for Legal Studies. Extremely informative.

Very well written. Concise and yet detailed. This to me was the "bible" of my course.
