Soft and simple illustrations created in acryla gouache complement the story of a youngster as he learns how to master simple tasks such as taking off his socks and shirt in preparation for a bath. Afterward, he is dried off and snuggled enjoys spending time with his caregivers who sing tunes to him and read books to him. All of this is part of getting him ready for sleep time. The words used to tell the story are ideal for lulling a little one to sleep. I especially liked how there was no reluctance to slow down and go to sleep and how the little guy quietly looked around his world while being fortunate enough to have parents who realized that routines matter and that children and parents can enjoy simply being with each other without making a big production of things. Clearly, this one has uses as a bedtime story.
Baby can do so many things! He can take off his shirt and socks for his bath, he can play in the tub, he can help get ready for bed, sing songs, read books, and settle down for sleep.
Hooray for bedtime routines! Large illustrations of loving parents and a sweet child make this a perfect "time for bed" book. So positive and caring, I just want to cuddle that baby myself.
Celebrate a little boy's bedtime routine through rhyming text that ends with a blue and yellow spread that gently says "Peepity peep. Shhh...Baby's asleep." Simple. Effective. My 2-year-old enjoyed it.

A young child goes through the day showing what they can do for themselves from holding a bottle to helping get dressed. Cute Illustartions. Baby and up
Not impressed. I liked the illustrations, and I especially liked that both mom and dad were shown helping baby get ready for bed. However, there was too much "baby talk" language in the text -- toesies, jammies, and even peekity boo in the title. This is not the language I'm trying to teach my child. I wouldn't read this book again.
This was decently cute, and I love Mike Wohnoutka's illustrations - nice and bold and clear. I'm not sure the title matches the text, but it's definitely a bed time book.
