An excellent guide. Very useful and occasionally quite witty. Rest In Peace, Dr. John T. Mickel.

This was the best book out there on ferns until the "Encyclopedia of Ferns" was released in summer 2007. But since that one is still very pricey, I'll stick with this one for now.
