I was fully engrossed in this story because it ticked a few of my favorites small town, sheriff, mystery (that was a little obvious but fun anyway). I was worried because in the first chapter at the e waitress was “a skinny blonde” and two pages later was a brunette! Then she was blonde again after...it’s funny how when you’re reading that latches on.
After a while though the story settled into a rhythm of insta-lust and identifying your “missing pieces” in another. I hadn’t read the first book as it was not as appealing in synopsis as this one. My main problem is it was too short a read so everything had to be condensed and rushed with relation to character development - it seemed there was two days and then kissing and then sexy times straight after followed by marriage proposal (it felt like a month maybe?)
I’m not sure if I will read the next one but this was a quick, fun story🙃

With Em Petrova you know exactly what you're going to get - a great detailed storyline, with interesting, sexy and characters that you're going to love, a plot that will keep you guessing, beautifully written story that transports you there so you're "living" the story with them. The blurb cannot be bested so I won't even try! Judd, the local sheriff, is what you dream to have has your local sheriff - tall hunky, good looking enough to take you breath away and make your panties melt, an alpha male who knows what he wants and goes after it, also caring and very protective of those he loves as well, of course, as being sexy as heck. When he meets Cecily, who has just moved to town and is setting up her Spa business, he recognises that she has curves in all the right places, just how he likes them, is sassy, smart, will not take any nonsense and is going to drive him crazy with lust. Together they are a formidable team and when they get the chance they get down to hot and heavy with a little kinky on the side. the chemistry between them practically sparks whenever they are near to each other and I just so wanted them to have their own HEA. His mother, oh boy, what apiece of work she was at times. This is the second in the Wild West Series by Em and I can't wait for book 3, hopefully with Wes meeting his FATE! A great fun read that I couldn't put down till I'd finished and I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this book to you all.

I have been anxiously waiting for this book and it met all my expectations.
Cecily and Judd were really fun to read about. From the first moment they meet, you can feel the chemistry between them. Even though they keep circling each other because of all the damage being done to her store, you can feel the protectiveness Judd has for her even though they hadn't even gone on a date yet.
I really enjoyed the growth we were able to watch with Judd. At the beginning he was a sad and lonely man who worked way to hard. Rescuing a woman at a bar was nothing new to him, seeing her again at a crime scene made him fall in love. It was wonderful to watch Judd grow as a man who loves and can accept love from someone who accept all parts of him.
I feel like Cecily was a perfect match for Judd. She was a strong and fierce woman who loves her job and is naturally a happy person. While she is strong to outsiders, I love the way she was with Judd.
I would highly recommend this book and this series!

An Awesome Book!
I loved reading Something About a Sheriff(Wild West Book 2), all about Cecily Baker a young woman who just moved to town and is opening a Day Spa & Judd Roshannon the Sheriff of Bracken, two meet at the local bar where Cecily is having a beer and a local drunk is hitting on her. She tells him nicely no she does not want to dance, but he doesn’t take a hint and hurls her,out of her chair and into his arms and proceeds to make her dance. She’s struggling to get away from Jake when the Sheriff pulls her from him and then punches him in the jaw. He yells at her to go get,in his truck outside! The author wrote a story about a young women who is new to town and is having all sorts of problems. Read this book and find out how Cecily & Judd keep each other’s attention!
I fell in love with Book one and two was amazing, I can’t wait to read three and four should be out shortly. I highly recommend this series it was amazing about strong women who know what they,want and the men that find them irresistible in the process!

Cecily and Judd together = hot, hot, hot! She understands him and doesn't want him to hold anything back. He doesn't want to loose her so is fighting his dark desires and trying to solve her break ins.
From the moment they meet you can feel something between them and see how much they complement each other, their budding relationship keeps you interested as everything is going on around them. I liked how strong Cecily was and just because she submitted to Judd in the bedroom didn't meant she would out of it.
First time for me with this author and I've enjoyed reading about Cecily and Judd very much, I would have liked another chapter or two but just because I would have liked to see how crazy his mother got when he told her his news!

4/29/2020 Updated/edited to add. I have reread this book once and half again in the last two days. I absolutely love Judd. He just makes me swoon - in such a good way. I love Cecily too, she is strong, and funny and witty and so sweet, but holy cow - Judd just gives me all the feels. No one does a cowboy lawman like Ms. Petrova and that is a fact!!!! Oh - I also purchased the book!

I have loved every book by Em in the past and this is no exception. I'm quickly falling for these boys and I can't wait to see how Wes falls. Aiden and Amaryllis are great characters that I was happy to see had a great part of this book as well, but I believe these two have won my heart. The protective nature, hidden dominant side, and horrid past has him in a place where he doesn't want to let his emotions run free, but it won't work for this cowboy. I just live how she refuses to listen to him and keeps pushing back when they're on that trail. That's when her true nature took off and showed everyone she's a little dynamite! This is a definite must read!

Judd & Cecily's story is one you can't put down! Cecily's new to town trying to start a new business only she keeps getting sabotaged. How many times can she pick up the pieces (literally) and start again before her grand opening? Judd is the town's sheriff (also Aiden's twin from book 1). They can't keep their hands off each other but they each have a secret that needs to come to light before they can move forward. The thing is, Cecily's secret is unknown to her until Judd does some digging in her past to expose it. Some mystery, some kink and a whole lot of lust!! This is my honest review for a story given to me by the author under no obligation. Can't wait for the next story!

I’m really loving this series and this time it’s Judd’s turn to find the key to unlocking his heart and it comes in the way of Cecily the new day spa owner. Sparks fly between the pair when he investigates the spa when it is broken into. The steamy scenes are very a little kinky and a very sexy. There is a bit of mystery/suspense added into the mix as to who is causing all the damage and why plus we get to see Aiden, amaryllis and Wes and we also get a few surprises along the way, I’m looking forward to Wes’s story as I have a feeling he is gonna be even more kinkier than Judd.

Its took me a while to post this review but I absolutely love all of Em's book so wasnt surprised that this book was so good. After an awful divorce the last thing Judd wants is another relationship that's until he met Cecily the new owner of a spa. Shes starting over and wasnt looking to start a new relationship either but when a threat comes a knocking Judd is determined to do everything to keep her safe. I dont want to say too much more and ruin it but I highly recommend this book, heck the whole series and all of Ems books

Another great read from Em Petrova! You meet Judd in Book 1 of this series. His is book you learn more about him and what happened between him and his ex-wife. You get a better understanding of his character. The plot was interesting. The story-line flowed smoothly throughout the entire book. I loved the characters. All were well-developed and easily relatable. The only thing I would have changed was to make the mystery a little more thrilling. It just kind of fell flat. I can't wait to read Wes' story!

Judd and Cecily are a match made in kink. They have such great chemistry, and seem to be so in tune to each other.
This book also has a couple of funny moments. The scene at the police car after Judd and Cecily first met have me a few chuckles. She was so sincere.
You also get to revisit Aidan, Amaryllis, and Wes for Something About A Lawman.The book is full of sexy surprises, both for Judd, and the reader.
The icing on the cake is the mystery Judd has to solve. You get a little of everything in this book. I read my copy of Something About A Sheriff via KU.

Omg. FANTASTIC STORY!!!!
Gotta love a big strong lawman and a new age massage therapist/ hairdresser. Judd has been burned badly by an ex wife and decided staying single is his only choice. Till he meets Cecily. The attraction is immediate, The surprise is the Dom/Sub angle but that just ramps up the heat between Judd an Cecily. The mystery of who is trashing Cecily’s business has everyone puzzled. But Judd, along with his twin brother and cousin are close to finding out. Great story. Chemistry and heat off the charts. You wont be disappointed. Loved it!

New in town day spa owner, Cecily Baker has problems the first couple of weeks she’s there, first there’s a guy that won’t take no for an answer and gets into a fight with the sheriff then someone breaks into her shop. Twice! After a painful marriage and worse divorce, the last thing sheriff Judd Roshannon expected was to want Cecily like he wanted air. But first things first, find out who’s trying to destroy Cecily when she hasn’t had time to meet anyone in town, let alone make friends or enemies!

Every book I read by you becomes my favorite. I really enjoyed this one. Cecily Baker’s day spa is broken into and the towns sheriff Judd Roshannon’s handles the case. Their chemistry’s off the chart, and neither one of them can keep their eyes or hands or to themselves. Secrets are reviled and the bounds of trust are tested. Will these two have a happly ever after everything is said and done? Thank you Em Petrova for this awesome book.

He has a dark, kinky side and is over relationships after a bad marriage. Can Cecily be the one to win his heart and love his bossy ways? I'm not into BDSM but this story only touched on it, it was more about the romance. I enjoyed it and highly recommend this book.

Something About a Sheriff by Em Petrova is a entertaining and enjoyable read. Judd and Cecily are a great couple. They have sizzling chemistry that really steams up this book. A well written book, it offers complex characters, an involving plot and an intense emotional ride. A powerful story about endurance and letting go of the past. Lots of heat, drama and a bit of mystery create an excellent read. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

Judd & Cecily's story is exactly the kind of read I've come to expect from the author.
Sweet, sexy and full speed ahead.
The chemistry between these two is off the charts, and the added suspense keeps you turning the pages just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I was glued to the pages, I refused to put this book down and read it in one day.
This is probably my 5th book by the author and they just keep getting better, always engaging and leave me wishing for the next book.

"Something About a Sheriff" (Wild West Book 2) by Em Petrova is a great read. I loved Judd and Cecily's story. This was a great addition to the Wild West Series. This story has passion, kink, hot cowboy lawmen, mystery, family, entertaining characters, and more. I can't wait to see what happens next in "Something About a Bounty Hunter". Highly recommend to all fans of smoking hot romances, hot cowboy lawmen, and series.

I throughly enjoyed this story. What happens when you move to a small town to start over and fall for the local sheriff, but you have secrets. Secrets you do not even know and now your place of business is being sabotaged can the sheriff catch the culprit before it's to late a thrilling read with some romance and love scenes that steam up your winter nights.

Cecily moved in to start her massage business. Her business kept on getting broken into and trashed. Judd, a sheriff who was accused of abusing his psycho ex-wife hid his dominant style. When he saw Cecily , he wanted her even after knowing she was accidentally drunk married in Vegas. They found out Jack the psycho who harassed her at the bar was the one ruining her shop. She enjoyed herself beins submissive to Judd.

Yes yes yes! Another fantastic book by Em Petrova. Sexy, and so much more. There is so much heart in this book, and the characters are so beautifully portrayed. The steamy scenes are off the charts, but this is a story about being true to yourself, and fighting for what you believe in. I received a free copy of this, and have voluntarily reviewed.
