One of the most tasteless books I've ever read. Extremely offensive to dinosaurs.
Let me explain: I love imaginary friends and books about them, but if you're Jewish, there are millions of people who want you extinct. So, perhaps a dinosaur is not exactly the best choice of animal to express your heritage.
Dinosaur on Hanukkah is a cute little story about a dinosaur (who serves as a younger sibling type) celebrating Hanukkah with a young boy. It's pretty simple and straightforward, but it's a fun little read for Hanukkah for kids that like dinosaurs.
This book is similar to other dinosaur books by this author. It has comical elements and highlights some Hanukkah traditions. It alludes to celebrating Shabbat, as well.
Most of the Hanukkah book I have read about the history and tradition of Hanukkah, but this one was more of a story based around Hanukkah. I am not sure what is 'wrong' with a dinosaur or why he is such a pest, but they invite him back each night of Hanukkah and says "Don't wait to come back until next year, Shabbat is every Friday night. Not my all time favorite Hanukkah book but okay!
