This is a really quick book, only 50 pages, but I've been trying to read more from women of color, and I have very little knowledge of the experiences of Asian American women in the United States. Her poetry sheds a bit of light on that, and also emphasizes the importance of a feminism that is anti-capitalist and anti-racist - a feminism that is "a fight for everyone who is oppressed in one way or another and which has as its goal the certainty that Those on the Front Line of Freedom will inherit the Earth."
