Award-winning author, Chariss K. Walker, M.Msc., Reiki Master/Teacher, writes both fiction and nonfiction books with a metaphysical and spiritual component. Her fiction expresses a visionary/metaphysical message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration.
Those who search for meaning and the supernatural in themselves will enjoy her books.
Even though Chariss also writes dark-fiction about insanely dark topics, such as sexual abuse, incest, pedophilia, sexual assault, and other inappropriate dinner conversation, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increasing awareness and perception.

The final installment of the Alec Winter series is a blend of myth, religion, and dark fantasy.

The action, which moves between Louisiana and Florida, not only continues Winter's role as an avenging angel, tracking down and unmercifully destroying bad guys and rescuing victims; but also brings peace to the tormented Winter as he finally discovers his true place in the cosmic scheme of things.

A well thought-out, well written thrill ride; highly recommended..

This is the final book in this series and what an ending it was! Nothing happens the way you think it will which just goes to prove that life will happen the way it wants not necessarily the way you thought it would or the way you wish it would have. But everything usually ends up for the best.

As the author has repeated and I totally concur "Not for the faint of heart; not recommended for those under the age of 17."

The first wonderful thing about this book is, the author immediately picks up from where she left off, and book 3. The cliffhanger from book 3 is immediately addressed! in this final book of the series, Alec definitely deals with some life-changing situations. He continues to protect some of the most vulnerable people of society! You will not be disappointed with this book, and you might be wondering if there is more to come. I don’t think there is more to come, but the author has definitely left the story so that she can pick it up at any time.

Harbor City continues the story of Alec Winters. This series is in a word fantastic. True love, revenge, family, duty and so much more come together to tell the story of good vs. evil and believe me this is a story you do not want to miss.

Harbor City (An Alec Winters Series, Book 4) by Chariss K Walker

In book four the final in the Alec Winters series, Alec is now in Harbor City. He is on a mission to destroy those that have destroyed what is most important to him. As he seeks vengeance he is faced with life turning events and how his life will be. With reoccurring characters every question as Alec's story comes to a close.

Moving at a fast pace, with plenty of action, thrills, and emotional moments, I was hooked up until the very end. I highly recommend to Adult readers of (dark) fantasy. Some content may not be suitable for younger readers.

Four books in five days ... Haven't done that in years!

I was given Prelude (Book 1 on the series) for free in exchange for an honest review and was so enamoured by the start of series, that I bought the next three titles without hesitation ... or regret.

I am blown away by the books in this series. The messages are amazing, even though it is fiction, and the characters are bad-ass yet so endearing.

All I can say is that I loved this book that brought it all together.

I definitely will be reading more books by this author.

If you are looking for an exciting, interesting read that deals with an angel-redeemer and demon-punisher storyline ... where you will fall in love with the story and the characters ... you will not go wrong with this series.

Be warned - the warning of no under 17s is for a valid reason as there is violence and sexual content (which I don't really enjoy but this was necessary). When my daughter is a bit older - I will definitely let her read these books.

As the author of this book, I will express my views. This is the final book in An Alec Winters Series. Harbor City opens with Alec devastated by the events that happened in Port City, book 3. But it is a new day. He has suffered greatly due to the consequences of his angel-demon destiny and it's about time something good happens for him. Remember, this series deals with darkest topics on the seediest side of life and, for sure, on the streets of New Orleans.
I won't give any spoilers, but to all those who were angry about a previous character's death, I was pleased with the conslusion to Alec's story and I believe that you will like the ending too.

As the author, I admit that I love this series. Alec Winters is everything that is good and kind even though his alter-ego is terrifying. I love the dichotomy of the angel and devil where Alec protects innocent victims and punishes evil-doers. I mean, really, does anyone ever get what they deserve? They do in this series.

Wow

This book, that I unfortunately feel is the last in this series, clears up quite a few questions from the others in the series. Alex has to deal with his loss, and come to terms with moving on, which involves creating an heir.
Chariss Walker has once again done Alec's character justice.......especially in the ending of this book.

Throughout the series I kept saying, “Go Alec Winters!” What a relief it was to see these twisted criminals get what they deserved! Chariss Walker is a gifted writer who does an excellent job as she wraps up the finale of the series.

Wow this was an incredible series. I'm sad to say good bye to the characters I feel that I've come to know. This is a dark and gritty novel that was so addictive and hard to put down but with some things that are very difficult to read about let alone discuss.
Man? Devil? Angel? Who and what is Alex Winters? Does he act under God's authority or is he a vigilante taking matters into his own hands? There is only one way to know for sure........read the novel! I highly recommend this novel, actually the whole series, I gave this a 5/5.
