I’m a fan of this movie anyway. And this is a really fun adaptation of the movie. It’s 224 pgs, which is a lot for a movie like this, but there’s surprisingly not a lot of new stuff within the pages. There’s some extended scenes and extra backstory. But what’s there is good and fun. I do miss the visuals of watching Joe Pesci and Dan Stern get wrecked by Kevin, they are hilarious, but I was able to visualize it.
This was a surprisingly fun and well written novelization! While the heavy lifting was already done in John Hughes' excellent script, Singer translated it into a fun, easy to read adventure.
Aw, the nostalgia of a very violent christmas-story 🤗 This novelisation of an all time favourite modern classic was actually quite well written. Enjoyed it a lot. (Alot more than Marv and Harry, anyway😉)
Never realized there were two novelizations, or any at all lol. After reading both I think the Singer one is my favorite. The dialog is closer to the movie, and it expands on a few more scenes. Harry's comments in the Strasser one were hilarious, though.
