I just received a copy of this one, bought at my request by our local (Paso Robles) library with state funds. New copy of the reprint edition (1989) -- I think the first show was in 1970, and they reprinted on the occasion of a second show of this material? These were the cultures and artifacts that were collected by and inspired many early to mid 20th-C artists in and around Mexico City, such as Diego Rivera, who assembled a large personal collection of prehistoric pottery, and used it to spark a number of his paintings from that era. OK, let's see: His full name was, wait for it, Diego María de la Concepción Juan Nepomuceno Estanislao de la Rivera y Barrientos Acosta y Rodríguez. Whoa.
Here's his collection, largely still extant: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anahuac...

LACMA has a great collection, which LA businessman Proctor Stafford assembled in the 1950s, when he had his pick of hundreds of these vessels being unearthed in West Mexico, from the Shaft Tombs cultures of Colima, Nayarit & Jalisco states: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western... The catalog suffers from a lack of color photos. However, LACMA has color photos online of almost the complete collection: https://collections.lacma.org/search/...
And here are color photos of a couple of my favorites:
Otters! https://www.flickr.com/photos/2905046... I love this one.
Organ-pipe cactus: https://www.flickr.com/photos/2905046... VERY cool pot.

So. Weak 4-star rating. I believe the catalog is still in print and inexpensive, so depending on your level of interest.... If you have any interest in Mexican Precolumbian art, you will have seen some of these, as thousands were disbursed in the 1950s and are in virtually every museum worldwide with even a few Precolumbian pieces. I read a library copy: actually one they bought at my request! Woot!
