Lithium Oasis

It’s hard to do the right thing.
It’s especially hard when the wrong thing feels as good as Quinn does.
She’s kryptonite, a bullet to the brain.
The one girl Javi could never have.
The one girl he could never resist.
Four years and two fights with his best friend stands between them, yet Quinn’s presence affects him as much now as it ever did.
Chasing her means trouble, both for him and for his band.
Unfortunately, trouble is Javi’s middle name.

*Quinn and Javi’s journey is raw and real. As such, the book contains subject-matter that may make some readers uncomfortable.*

Lithium Oasis is Book Three in the Lithium Springs Series.

Writer of words. Mother of Joy. Wife of Compassion. I like to write stories about real people who go through real struggles, and come out the other side stronger. I also like to write smut. Welcome to my brain. It’s a little screwed up, but always well intended.

What a perfect end to the Lithium universe. Ryder was the sweet one— the prince that stormed the castle and saved the princess. CT was the dark knight, the bad boy— and ironically the one I fell in love with. But Javier Santos... JAVI. I love him so much in a different way. Maybe because I saw a lot of myself in Quinn. Maybe because I felt his pain the most. Maybe because he was the most unsure of himself of the three and we watched him grow through the pages. Maybe because LS had hit it big by the time we learn his story so we watch him deal with pain and grief all with the spotlight on him.

And then there’s Quinn. Probably one of my favorite heroines ever. The sweet shy redhead with big dreams and an even bigger heart that gave it away and never got it back. She is one badass chick, and I loved seeing her come into her own. I loved seeing her not only ask but demand her HEA. I loved watching her take control of her own narrative and at times— his too because she loved him harder than he loved himself.

This story has the angst, the steam, the passion, the tears— omg did I cry. There are glimpses of the other couples (YAY!) and you see how the family has grown stronger despite all the obstacles.

I’m always in awe when I read her writing. How she paints a picture. How her words evoke emotions I didn’t expect. If I could give this book 50 stars I could. I already miss these six crazy kids but it’s safe to say she sent them out with a bang!

While I adored the first two books in this series with their fast paced style, I will admit that this one started off and for almost half was more of a slow burn for me. But alas - good things come to those who read on. I can't recall ever feeling like I was hit with a two by four midway through as I was with Quinn & Javi. Wow - Just Wow. Carmel Rhodes dares to go where no Author that I have read has gone before, and I applaud your decision in throwing a whopper of a road block into the relationship. Loving a rockstar can't be easy and with the normal obstacles written about to death, this was totally unexpected and handled beautifully, realistically and made this couple working through their issues that much more rewarding. I will miss Lithium Springs very much.
PS Would not be opposed to Noah popping up at some point.

I have so many things I want to say about this book, but I truly suck at reviews... so I'm going to do my best.

1. I'm uber sad this series is over and I'm not sure what do with myself without my Lithium Boys ( I mean besides wait around for Carmel's next great tale... but still) All three books have brought me much happiness, thrill, excitement, and hot tattooed boys!

2. I love Javi and Quinn. Aka the Joker and his Puddin' *swoon*

3. This whole story was well put together and I admire Carmel for doing a subject matter that is a tough, raw, and not to many talk about it. She dealt with the issue head on and really well. It's such real life and I felt for Quinn when she needed to make the decision. It wasn't easy but I admire her for making it. <3

4. I Have I mentioned I loved it? :) I'll miss these guys but I'm thankful I can re-read it over and over again. It's been a wild ride.

I don’t even know where to begin with this one. Oasis is the last novel in the Lithium Springs series. I haven’t officially reviewed the first novels, Waves and Tides, but I will.

Oasis is the Farewell Tour for the band. I knew it was the end. I had a hard time starting to read the story. I would open my kindle app, click on the gorgeous green book cover, and then close the app. Repeat. For days. Then I just had to bite the bullet because I needed Javi and Quinn’s story more than knowing it would be (most likely) the end of the Lithium Boys. What started out as a fanfiction story of two friends going into a hole in the wall bar to see the local band has turned into a phenomenon. Thank you, Carmel, for that.

Javi and Quinn’s story is a rollercoaster of emotions, for them and the reader. Javi is the joker of the group and he doesn’t mind the label of being the bad boy. Quinn is a Harry Potter loving college student is wants to save the world one person with cancer at a time.

They met four years ago. She gave herself to him. Then two years after that, she did it again. Both times their one night relationship caused a riff between Javi and CT, the bands drummer, and ... Quinn’s older cousin. And in Lithium Springs ... family is off limits.

Fast forward to present time where Quinn is at the boys welcome home party, Ryder and CT leave for vacation with their families, and Javi stays home.
Connections are made stronger between the Joker and Quinn rather quickly.

They push and pull at one another. Always wanting. Always needing.

They love. They hate. They breathe one another. Their hearts pulse together.

Carmel’s words and story are raw. Real. Natural.

There is strong adult material that may trigger some emotions. Carmel addresses the certain situation with respect and class.

Lithium Oasis is not just the epic finale of Lithium Spring series by Carmel Rhodes, but also a wholesome stand-alone that covers relationships of all kinds. With developments in friendship, couplehood, brother-/sisterhood, and even parenthood, Rhodes definitely writes Oasis in a different level than other rock star romances.

Rhodes never disappoint. All the required hotness in romances, Oasis is, no doubt, hotter than ever. The heroin, Quinn, is brainy, defiant, and bold. Such combination makes the lethal attraction to the free-spirited bad boy, Javi. They seem as the opposites, but yet, under all layers, they have the most similar kind of love for each other and of compassion for people around.

Relationships are hard, and Rhodes never skimp on angsts in her stories. Neither does Lithium Spring series, but Rhodes always makes her characters work through the challenges. Reading their struggles in life would surely make you angsty and sometimes even mad, but the fulfillments at the end of the journey would be worthwhile. You'll cry their cry and love their love. I'd come to love for this bittersweet kind of "tortures" again and again. With every work that Rhodes puts forward, you'll want all those emotions to never end as well.

I have been every impatiently waiting for this book and an so glad to have received an arc.

'bravery was acknowledging fear and leaping anyway'

This is javi and Quinn's story and holy hell was it one he'll of an emotional ride.. I was laughing, I was screaming in frustration and I was close to tears, these two definitely put me through the full range of emotions in this story.

I absolutely love javi in the previous books and couldn't wait for his story. And it did not disappoint at all.. I love him.Even more after the book (even if part way through i wanted to strangle him) him and quinn together make such a great couple and I loved the way they interact with each other.

I really enjoyed how this story jumped back to their past to show how they met and connected, it made the connection to the characters so much stronger.

It's kind of a second chance romance and the way it's done is so different to other second chance romances and it works so well.

This whole series was so good but this was my favourite one out of all 3.

As a team CT and Kenzie fan from the beginning Javi and Quinn just might have bumped them. Lithium Oasis is AMAZING! It is perfectly written and has just the right amount of lust, drama, love. HOT sex and laughs. My most favorite line is “I think you’re going to be mine” SWOON!! Javi and Quinn are a perfect beautiful disaster that are soul mates 100%. I cried the last 15 pages or so because it was so beautiful and I knew it was coming to the end. Javi and Quinn might be complete opposites but they definitely work and have perfect chemistry. Quinn really touched me and she is so relatable. Javi may be the joker but he’s definitely a loving joker. It’s so sad to see this series come to an end but the Lithium Springs crew will forever be in my mind. Carmel, you have truly outdone yourself on this one and the entire series. It’s awesome to be able to shut out the world and all the stresses in life and get lost with the Lithium boys. Thank you for writing this series and letting me escape to my own world even if it’s just for a little bit.

Aww what a goodbye to the guys of Lithium Springs. I loved every single minute of Javi and Quinn's story. It was beautifully written and quite heartwrenching in places. I think I cried most of the way through the last quarter of the book but by the end my heart was completely whole again.

Quinn was the one girl that was completely off limits where Javi was concerned, he was taught that lesson four years ago. Starting something with her would risk the loss of his band brothers, they were his family but she was also the one girl he just couldn't keep away from. For Quinn the feelings where mutual but realistically where did that leave them did they ever stand a chance.

It's really hard to say which is my favourite book where these guys are concerned but I think Lithium Oasis just pips the others to the post. I'm sad this series has come to and but I'm looking forward to reading more stories by Carmel Rhodes in the future.

Great end to the Lithium Series.

I'm so sad for the Lithium Springs saga to be over, but am so happy to have been able to share their journey. Not only does this third book give us Javi and Quinn, it gives us so many updates about the other couples. My favorite scenes we're probably the ones where we see Javi with his Lithium family. The relationship he has with all of them is wonderful. I'm crossing my fingers that Carmel decides to write a 4th book featuring The relationship between the "Lithium Ladies" because I am all for that!! I did personally have a hard time with one area of content, but it was an important part of their story, so I encourage everyone to read with an open mind.

What can I say about this book that hasn’t been said already? This being the last installment of this series, made this story even sadder than it was I cried, screamed and wanted kick both Quinn and Javi for being stubborn and afraid of their own feelings. Carmel Rhodes has down it again with this book. Beautifully written and a story I was dreading to finish, because I never wanted it to end. This series is by far my favorite and I will read again, and again! I only wish she would do more because I can’t seem to get enough of Javi, Quinn, CT, Kensie, Ryder, and Jamie!

The perfect end to the Lithium Springs series. No matter how perfect, I’m sad to see this series end. With each book, I fell in love with the characters. They’re all flawed and perfect in their own ways. Javi and Quinn put me on a roller coaster of emotions from laughing to heartache.

Perfectly written with just the right amount of drama, humor, and sexy as sin scenes.

I’m in love with Carmel Rhodes writing. The chemistry she makes you feel along with the amazing characters that you don’t want to let go of make for late night binge reads you can’t put down.

What can I say about this book, that hasn’t been said already. I was one the lucky ones to get an ARC and let me tell you this book did not disappoint like all the other books in Lithium Springs collection. Quinn and Javi story was perfect for them. To beautiful people with a story to tell. I love Javi and his Joker ways. He was the perfect gentlemen but the perfect match for Quinn.

Lithium Oasis will leave you wanting more.

Javi and Quinn will leave you feeling like you've just run through every emotion imaginable, but leave you wanting more and mourning that this is the finale of what has been a fantastic journey that is Lithium Springs. Bravo Carmel. You deserve a standing ovation for bringing us all on this epic journey.

This book will give you all the feels!!
I knew that when I had tears at only 2% in that this was going to be a special book. Carmel definitely closes out the series with a BANG! POW! SMASH!
I was expecting Javi to be different than he was but I so loved his character. He has definitely given Ryder a run for my favorite Lithium guy.
And what can I say about Quinn, there were so many times I wished I could just reach into the pages and hug her.
This book will make your heart squeeze, pulse, and thump all the way through. I cried, smiled, laughed and threw my phone down in anger. But the journey through Javi and Quinn's story was so worth it.
I am so very sad to see the end of this series but I can't wait to see what else Carmel comes up with.

Amazing

There was never a doubt in my mind that this story would not be as amazing as the others were. I wish not to give specifics about what the book entails only because you deserve to experience it yourself; what I will say is reading this book brought me to a space where I felt like I was there. The details that went in thus creating an element of conviction for the characters could not have been done any better. I highly recommend reading

I love this book and the series. It is amazing! CT is by far my favorite but I love the complexity of the story. I feel like it’s a little bit more serious in some ways than the other two books. At times I wanted to smack him and I definitely want to smack her.

Loved it! Now I want more CT and Kensie from CT POV!! Actually, I want more about them all but especially CT.

Javi the sexy as sin bass player of Lithium Springs and Quinn the brilliant Harry Potter loving bookworm that has become his obsession. Are they to different or is their connection strong enough to overcome the crazy groupies, distinguished doctors, and the objections of the man they both love?

Carmel Rhodes closes out the Lithium Series with a raw love story that will make you question everything you thought you knew about your own feelings and beliefs. I was a little scared to read this as I wasn't ready to say goodbye to my lithium loves, but Carmel wove a tale that took me through all the emotions and left me satisfied in the end.

Finally the last book of the Lithium saga!
Javi and Quinn are so beautiful inside and out, strong and fragile at the same time. You will fall in love with them, and cry with them (and I don’t want to spoiler more). It’s amazing to see all the characters that we met and love (CT ♥♥♥) in the past interact in this book.
Carmel Rhodes is growing in each book she wrote, and I thank her to share her passion with us!

Rhodes sucks you in from the very first few pages! *Squeeze *Pulse* *Thump*

The prologue is so strong, powerful, and deep.

As you get pulled into the story, even more, you soon learn that this story is more than just about Javi Santos, the bass player for Lithium Springs, the Joker. He has more layers to him. He's not the person's who's painted on the tabloids and he's not exactly who he lets everyone see.

Javi has issues too.

He hides it well behind the mask, behind his jokes, behind being the bassist, behind all of the money and fame. He was the one out of the three who was still on the path of trying to, find himself.

Then there's the woman that came back into his life, Quinn Thayer. She's sweet, smart, red-headed girl, CT's cousin, and buried herself in her books. I did admire and love how she progressed and grew on her own, how she took control of certain situations, how she chooses herself, and what she thought was best Javi.

Especially when he didn't see that at first.

Quinn was the one who saw him and accepted every bit of who he really was. She was always open, willing, and honest with him. Even when it was tough.

And she helped him see himself for who he was.

*****

I loved how we got to see the rest of the other couples! I loved seeing how much they've grown, have families, and all the fun times they got to share.

I'm also so glad to have invested myself into these books, into these characters! I love them so hard! She really wraps up the Lithium Series so amazingly well! Every time I read a story that Rhodes' has written, I'm always blown away by the way she tells a story. She evokes so many emotions and passion through her words! Always steamy, angsty, and real!

Carmel Rhodes does not disappoint she knows how to drag you in from the first page giving you a story more addictive than Javi's stash.

This book gives you sadness, loss, grief, lust, scheming, jealousy, anger, love, sex, joy, sass, witty sense of humour, great friendships and all the gang from the first 2 books with new additional characters.

⛔️⛔️⛔️SOME SPOILERS⛔️⛔️⛔️

Javi loves his music but because he's not doing a regular job like his brother, he feels like the oddball in the family. He plays hard on and off the stage. There's one person he can't get out of his mind, she's the total opposite of his normal hookers, she's also out of bounds, she's CT's little cousin. But he can't help the pull he feels for her. She's real, she's shy but sassy and she can see straight through his BS façade. He wants all in with her, but would it be cost him his best friend and bandmates?

Quinn lost her mother at a young age, was taken under her cousin CT (Carter's) wing. She studies hard, keeps to herself hiding in the background with her head in a book. Her life is quiet until Javi comes cavemanning his way back into her life. She shouldn't have these feelings for him, it was only sex - twice, CT wants her nowhere near him, she sees him the real him hidden under his cocky Joker smile and she's falling for him. For some reason he wants her with her nerdy glasses and oversized clothes, so would he be able to keep in in his pants with groupies and sexy women handing it to him on a plate?

Will Javi & Quinn get their HEA?
Or will fame, stupidity or friends destroy them?

I didn’t expect this to be my favorite book in the Lithium Springs series, but it is. I loved everything about this book, but it was the Batman references that cemented it as a favorite. The Joker and Harley Quinn are my favorite villains (I named my daughter Harlie, in case you’re wondering how deep this goes lol)
I loved Javi and hated him and then loved him again. This one angst overload, Javi and Quinn damn near broke me, I seriously felt so much for these two, and no matter what happened I just kept rooting for them. I don’t want give myself away but there were times when I was whispering “omg please please please don’t let this happen” ughh the angst!! Like I said Carmel’s writing does crazy things to my emotions. I loved Javi and Quin, their ups their downs, and especially the way they loved each other by the end I literally had tears streaming down my face. This book and this series is a must read. I loved it so hard, and I highly highly recommend it, trust me you’ll fall in love with the Lithium Spring boys too! ❤️

So this is book 3 in the series and it’s Javi and Quinn’s story. They met 4 years ago at a party and spent the night together but Javi didn’t know that Quinn was CT’s cousin and when he found out CT told Javi to stay away from her.
Four years later and the attraction between them is still there and is as strong as ever. But Javi is the bad boy and Quinn is the girl that doesn’t let anyone get to close to her, plus neither of them want to hurt CT.
Once again Carmel Rhodes has given us another brilliant book and just like the first two books in the series I couldn’t put this down. Ryder, Jamie, CT and Kensie are in this book which I love.
Definitely give this series a read as you won’t regret it.

This was such a good finale to this series. I've loved getting to know this crew of friends, and book 3 wrapped everything up in a nice now.

This book had Harley Quinn/Joker vibes that took me an insanely long time to catch onto, but once I did, their dynamic made more sense. This is one of those couples that is perfect for each other but they can't see what's right in front of them. They keep getting in their own way.

There are forbidden vibes in this book that I loved and there's a lot of sneaking around that goes on. But once these two figure it out and make it work, their relationship is gold.
