Satan's Sons MC #2

Reaper's Rival

Rate this book
The steamy and dramatic sequel to the Best Selling Reaper's Claim by Simone Elise.
After the events of the first book Abby has joined her half sister's gang Hellbound. Can Reaper claim her back?
Reaper:
This life gives you regrets on a silver platter. This life makes you colder, and there is a coldness in you now Abby, and I don't like seeing it. It is what I was trying to protect you from. You always had an innocent heart, but something got inside and messed around with it, and I don't like it. You can come back from this. Let me take all the bad from you, so you can go back to being you. Ain't ever gonna stop trying to make you mine.
Abby:
You have to lose yourself to really find yourself. You have to crawl through the dark times to understand and crave the light. And sometimes you need to lose the man you love to realize that what you had in the first place was in fact love. We had a history between us. But more importantly, we had love between us and time doesn't affect love, or at least I hope it won't affect our love. Right now I don't belong anywhere, but I know that no matter what happens or where I am, my heart will always belong to him.
Being together might be dangerous, but outlaws are meant to break the rules.

"Reaper can claim me anytime. This book was completely addicting, the combination of love and danger was smoking hot. Book me a room at Satan's Sons Clubhouse!" - Felicia T

Abby: You won't leave me when times get hard?

Kade: Have I ever left you when things have gotten hard?

Abby: No.

Me: BITCH THAT'S ALL YOU DID IN THE FIRST BOOK!!!

Not to mention the second Abby pushes Reaper away (she just lost her baby which is a soul tearing thing) Reaper gets mad and sleeps with the first woman he see.

Then Abby goes to Kim form comfort and she blames her for pushing him away. Because cheating is ok.
Cheating is no big deal if it's just an angry fuck.

Abby had so much respect for me at the begining of the book, being such a hardass but then she blows it by becoming jush as weak as she was in book one and taking Kade back no matter what he does.

Well, in this book it wasn't Abby running after Reaper like a lost puppy. This time it was Reaper running after her like a lost rat. Honestly Kade had changed so much from book one to two but then goes back to being a cheater.

I honestly hate him for being an ass and Abby for being a weak pushover of a woman.

A view weeks ago I read ‘Reapers Claim’ by Simone Elise, the first book in the Satan Son’s series. Although I enjoyed most of the book I had a view issues with it, for one it was a very very long book. I soon found out that more reviewers had the same problem with the book and the author and publisher decided to split the book in two, and some content which makes ‘Reaper’s Rival’. Since I read ‘Reaper’s Claim’ I already knew in big lines what was going to happen, but since there was so much new stuff added I still felt like I was reading a new book.

Splitting the first book in two was definitely a great idea. And probably necessary cause this is also not a short book. And I must admit that this book is much better now it has been split into two different books. In ‘Reaper’s Rival’, the main character Abby has joined another gang and her life has gone from being hard to being downright evil. But still after everything that’s changed, she can’t forget about Reaper.
Reaper has left Abby behind months ago with the idea of leaving her with a better life. But when he finds out that the opposite is happening, he is determined to get Abby back.

Although I enjoyed the new content, and definitely see the potential this story has I think MC novels are just not for me. It’s just way too harsh for me and I couldn’t connect with the characters at all. I honestly think the characters just acted a little childish at times. And then the murdering people? Really? I knew Abby did that after reading the first book, but somehow it just felt extra wrong to me.

There’s still a major cliff hanger in this book, and I find myself being curious about what is going to happen next to Abby and Reaper. But I’m not sure I’m going to read it. I enjoyed these two reads, but maybe that’s just enough for me.
But if you’re a fan of MC romance novels this series is definitely one you should check out.

I was fortunate enough to advance read Reaper’s Claim, and as soon as I finished I was more than ready to jump into the second book. Back when I read Reaper’s Claim, though, it was a much longer book. After I finished reading, before publication, it was split into two books. The result of this split meant more was added to the second part of the story before it was published as Reaper’s Rival. Therefore, I went into this story with some idea of what kind of events would play out. Nevertheless, with all the additional content that was added in I was left feeling as though this was an entirely new book. One I thoroughly enjoyed. In fact, I’d go so far as to say Reaper’s Rival is more fun than Reaper’s Claim. Both are great reads, but this one packs more of a punch.

I said in my review of Reaper’s Claim that it ended on a serious cliff-hanger. Well, the cliff-hanger I was referring to in my review is actually the one at the end of this book. So be prepared. Whilst the first book finished in such a way that you were eager for more, this one leaves you in a real panic. What happens next? It is a very big question. One I cannot wait to get answered. Honestly, the way this one ends leaves us with the promise of an explosive third book. I cannot begin to explain my excitement for the things that will come in the third book: there was so much action in this one, and you know the third book will take things to a new height to tie up all the questions that have developed through the first two parts of the story.

As with the first book, Reaper’s Rival is all kinds of addictive. It’s one of those reads that is impossible to put down. Each scene leaves you questioning what comes next, each new twist in the story leave you wanting more. If you thought the first book was addictive, be prepared for your addiction to reach all new heights. The first book was merely a gateway drunk – this one takes us on to the harder drugs, and you will not want help with your addiction.

This second book is filled with all kind of drama. Lies and deception are central to the story, taking our characters to entirely new places. If you thought the first book had a lot of drama, know it’s nothing compared to what you will see in this one. The action is continuous, and the emotions you experience will leave you with whiplash.

As with the first book, there are some stupid choices made by characters – however, whilst this annoyed me in the first book, I found I enjoyed it this time around. Nobody is perfect, and these characters reflect just how flawed we all are. Yes, I still wanted to shake some sense into them; however, I found myself enjoying this need rather than sighing at it. Plus, we get to see quite a bit of development for the characters in this one. The story progresses for many of the characters, and it’s wonderful to see the way they’re moving forward in life.

Seriously, I cannot reiterate enough how addictive this series is proving to be. The romance is addictive; the characters are addictive; the storyline is addictive; the biker way of life is addictive. Basically, it’s all so addictive. It’s fast paced and filled with action – of course, it’s going to be addictive. Even the cliff-hanger, whilst it leaves you insane, was addictive: it’s one of those cases where you hate the fact you’re without answers, but you love the way events ended. It really was a wonderful read.

The sooner I can get my hand on the next book, the better. There’s a fan right here that is in dire need of answers. Honestly, if you’ve yet to jump into this world you really need to – it’s perfect for lovers of motorcycle club romances.

As a final note, I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with a copy in exchange for a review.

This is the second in the "Reaper" series. Definitely read the first one, "Reapers Claim." After Abby and Kade's disastrous attempt at a relationship, they've gone their separate ways.

The problem is neither is over the other, and Abby and her twin sister, Kim, are now neck deep in a gang. Being daughters of the leader of a motorcycle gang, they aren't exactly sweet or innocent. Kim finds a way out, but Abby is blackmailed in to staying.

The book picks up with the ending of the previous book. The book was split into two, which caused me a bit of confusion at first. However, the additions made the story more solid. Also makes it easier to follow should you not have read the first. Will there be a "happily ever after" for these two? If they survive the mess Abby has immersed herself in, that is. Is Abby as cold hearted and calculating as she appears. You wouldn't want to meet her in a dark alley.

Can Abby find her way back to her family, or will her family find a way to save her? Rough criminal gangs and bikers storyline, with a touch of love between Abby and Kade, or is it Abby and Daniels?

Things change, and now Reaper is off to another chapter as President. A few surprises, a few bad decisions. Running away from each other one too many times. A definite cliff hanger ending.

Great series, if you like bikers, and bad boys. I thoroughly enjoyed both of these books.

Thank you Simone Elise

This is a fast paced book, with a lot of action, and like the first, with a lot of angst. Here, Abby and Kim have evolved as they are away from the club. The dynamic of the characters is much the same of the first, with lots of miscommunication, angst and desire. It adds tension but there is not much different from the first book in terms of how they interact with each other. However, since the characters are so dynamic, it still works and the action really pulls it together. Billed as a romance, but it held my interest, and romance isn't a genre I typically seek out but I did enjoy this book, as I did the first.

More Reaper and Abby drama.

What can I say but five stars ⭐️ alternate POVs between amazing characters we also get more drama, more action, more tears, twists to the story and even some happy news.

I feel like the more in-depth this author gives us about Reaper and Abby the more twists of the story we become that more interested in what will happen next. OMG I thought that it dragged abit and Reaper annoyed me at times cause I truly hate cheating but it doesn’t take away how unbelievable the story flows and the ending I did not see that coming (oh wait) I knew something was bound to happen but it just keeps surprising you.

I had read this novel before it was separated into 2 parts; the story line relatively stayed the same apart from the large chunk of plot that was added.
I enjoyed how Elise developed Abby's character further along with some of the others and I thought it flowed well with what had previously happened as opposed to throwing her into something out of left field. I also enjoyed the new character, Daniels, and his and Abby's 'relationship' - it definitely proved for some suspenseful moments.
The new plot addition was definitely seamless and flowed well while adding more dramatics and dynamic to Abby and Reapers love story; it also gave us a glimpse into Reaper's softer side which I loved. I also really liked how Elise kept the story in tact and didn't remove much if any of the original version of the story, simply added in some more depth to the independent, strong-willed, bad ass Abby.
I am very much looking forward to the next installment after the frustrating in the best way cliff hanger we're left with in Reaper's Rival.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I wanted to give the next book a try. I was not disappointed! I felt the book was telling a little too much (like reviewing) the second book. but I think maybe that was the way the author wanted us to follow along and keep up with all that happens. Maybe like they do on TV shows sometimes when they tell you what happened last week.
The book left me wanting more and wondering what would happen next. I think the series is a big hit. I enjoyed it. * I received this book from the author---this is my honest review*

I read Reaper’s Claim and adored it and when I started this book, I was a little confused as to what was going on because I had a rather strong déjà vu feeling going but I did a bit digging online to see if I could understand what was going on before I dug any further into a book that I thought was going to get the better of me and believe me, this is not the sort of story that you want to give the upper hand too.
Anyway, leaving all of the confusion aside, I got stuck in and for this review, I am just going to go with what I read in this book and please forgive me if there is any overlap, I will try not to confuse you!
The book kicks off with Abby in Blake’s gang with her sister Kim, carrying out Blake’s wishes as she acts as his own personal hit-woman. Never one to miss a target, she is on top of her game, but there is more at play here than she is willing to let on and when a job gets horribly complicated and the very people she would have never wanted to see are embroiled in the who thing, she is left with an impossible decision to make. Can she turn her back on her family or does she have what it takes to protect them?
The run with Abby as the gun deal goes south is the “shoe” that Reaper needs (read the story and you will get that little chestnut! Its subtle even if I do say myself ) and seeing Abby again only solidifies his decision to hang around, its already been three months, he must have been darn sure that she was coming back because it certainly seemed as if he had been almost waiting it out.
I got that Abby was a strong-willed woman but darn it, I had my hopes high that Reaper (Kade) wasn’t going to let the grass grow beneath his feet and he would be hauling a** to get her back. But he surprised me with an excellent display of what have been every ounce of patience he had…but you know what she wasn’t done with him yet, he had to dig a little deeper because Abby didn’t just test his patience a little more, nope she wrung it out and hung it out to dry!
I loved Reaper although that may seem like an odd thing to say about a guy that had definitely earned his name, but I did, he may have been a bada** biker but beneath that tough exterior lay a heart that knew only one thing, while he would did for his club but he would put every one of them in the ground for his woman. I thought the author did a superb job of showing the other side of Reaper, of bringing Kade to life, the guy that loved without fault, he adored Abby and at times I didn’t understand why because she had begun to grate on my nerves.
I got that she was a proud woman, but oh my good lord woman, make your mind up! She seemed to change her mind like most women change underwear, she dithered and dallied like nothing I have ever known. I hated that she thought she could solve all the problems on her own and I have to admit that some of her antics with Dante had me ready to beat the every loving c**p out of her, really woman you have to look up the term “immature”, I would put money on your picture being in there pasted next to it! She flip flopped more than I would have liked and her double standards were further proof that she had a ways to go before she was ready to be the woman that she thought she already was.
I thought the author continued along the theme of the first book, in as much as she didn’t let up on the intensity of the club, she didn’t hide, not only the reality but the cruelty of life within a hardcore MC, this isn’t for the weak willed, there are some horrible depictions dotted throughout the story, there are some events that will draw a sharp intake of breath, especially one of the hits that Abby goes on, I was shocked that the author was willing to include that in the book, other steer a wide berth from something so graphic, but kudos Ms Elise for staying true to your characters and the life the lead.
With another book due, I have to say that I daren’t think too much about what the author may have tucked up her sleeve because so far, I think I have gotten just about all my assumptions wrong.
This is a cleverly written book, that packs a punch. It will leave you winded but counting the days to until the next book arrives.

Reaper’s Rival bk 2 – Satan’s Sons Series by Simone Elise Review
How can one little girl get into so much trouble, stay tuned for Abby!
The steamy and dramatic sequel to the Best-Selling Reaper's Claim by Simone Elise.

After the events of the first book, Abby has joined her half-sister’s gang Hellbound. Can Reaper claim her back? Being together might be dangerous, but outlaws are meant to break the rules.
Reaper:
This life gives you regrets on a silver platter. This life makes you colder, and there is a coldness in you now Abby, and I don’t like seeing it. It is what I was trying to protect you from. You always had an innocent heart, but something got inside and messed around with it, and I don’t like it. You can come back from this. Let me take all the bad from you, so you can go back to being you. Ain’t ever gonna stop trying to make you mine.
Abby:
You have to lose yourself to really find yourself. You have to crawl through the dark times to understand and crave the light. And sometimes you need to lose the man you love to realize that what you had in the first place was in fact, love. We had a history between us. But more importantly, we had love between us and time doesn't affect love, or at least I hope it won't affect our love. Right now, I don't belong anywhere, but I know that no matter what happens or where I am, my heart will always belong to him.

What did I like? Well, I don’t know how she did it but this one is even better! Talk about smoking HOT!!!!! There is so much more action and trouble for those girls and Kade is doing all that he can to keep up! He is so damn hot and yet so soft when it comes to Abby!

What will you like? Action, more action, and lots more action! Get ready to be surprised at what Abby gets into! Wow. Trouble and more trouble, lots of emotional turmoil and unbelievable problems! I could not wait to get to book 3! Hopefully, the author will continue even after book 3 as this is television/movie worthy! I received this from the publisher for an honest review.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from Inkitt*

I really enjoyed the first one, but this installment was a little taxing. It was more exciting with the club, but when it came to Kade and Abby's romance, it was more exhausting than anything. At least in the first book, you know they're messed up, and they fight and make up. I could roll with that. What I couldn't stomach was seeing them act like it was the final straw and then come back expecting the total opposite, and then getting mad when it wasn't what they thought. I could only handle it in the first book because things were new and they were figuring each other out, but all of the drama was more like toxic bickering and stupid drama. I did like some of it, but the rest got tired really fast. I also noticed a slight change in style, the dialogue reminding me more of a book of Elise's that I didn't mesh with rather than the style of the first book. So I really hope it doesn't change with the third book, and that it gets less exhausting. Or if it's going to exhaust me, and least exhaust me in a good way, for good reasons, like having me question if their relationship really is toxic, or if it's just their environment that's getting in the way. THAT is what totally pumped my blood, and now since it looks like they're nicely settled, I'll be hoping for a good, new reason for them to go crazy. If you like MC stories and crazy drama, check it out.

This is a voluntary and honest review for an advanced copy.

This is the second book in the series and yes I loved it from start to finish. Not sure if my tired head would agree, but this is as addictive as the first book.

The story is still ultimately about Abby and Reaper, but the relationship between her and her sister Kim and her father are detailed more. Also the MC life style is detailed a lot more, which, for me makes for unpleasant, harsh reading at times. That is the point of the story though, so it all fits together.

The story really does get you involved with the characters, so much so that I found myself talking / shouting at the kindle……”don’t do it, don’t do it.” “You pig.” “You idiot”…..you get my drift.

I am not going to go through the blurb of the book but believe me this is an exciting read from start to finish. So why only four stars? Because it ends on a cliff hanger. I hate cliff hangers! At least I knew it would this time, so not too much anger. But.......oh my word what a cliff hanger it is.

I would absolutely recommend reading this but the series must be read from the first book. I will be reading the third book and it had better be the last! Good or bad, I need to know what happens at in end.

Overall: 3 / 5
Story 4 / 5
Amount of sex 2.5 / 5
How explicit 1 / 5

Reaper’s Rival is the second book in the Satan’s Sons MC series by Simone Elise and a continuation from the first book. Therefore, it is necessary to read Reaper’s Claim, before beginning this one.
Reaper’s Rival is grittier, darker and a little more emotional than the first book. The story begins three months after Abby and Kim left their father and the MC that they grew up in The constant cycle of arguments and drama continues in this story as well as the twists and turns. Abby goes through a lot in this book and even though I have read lots of darker books, I question some of her behaviors!

The author kept my attention with the drama, fighting, and twists within the book. The sex scenes continue to be closed doors which, in my opinion, does not fit the lifestyle of bad boys in a motorcycle club. I do hope that Abby and Kade will some day have their ‘happily ever after.’

Hopefully, in book 3, Reaper’s Redemption!

*Spoilers*
Everyone in this book was annoying. Abby with her lying and self-loathing. Kim with her brooding and whining. Roach with his stubbornness. Reaper with his pouting and self-destruction. Trigger with his ego.
But Reaper was also loving and attentive and caring, when Abby would let him. I was so upset and crying when Abby lost the first baby. And so happy when she had a healthy baby at the end. And wasn't it so kind of Jacobs to wait until she gave birth the take her. What a gentleman!
I was happy to see Jax and Amber again, but seriously Amber starts a lot of shit for Abby and Kim.
Overall I was less happy with this book than the first but I was happier with Reaper in this one. And Drake, poor love sick, Drake. Daniels wasn't really as bad as Damon but not right for Abby.
I'm giving this one 4 stars because I like some of the characters and the general storyline.
I got this from InkittExclusive.

I received an arc for an honest review from the publisher.

This is book two from the series and I highly suggest you read book one before you read Reapers Rival as this writing at its best !!

This was the second book I have read from Simone Elise and I can honestly say it will not be my last. I cried I laughed and I screamed all the way through the book. This story kept me so intrigued that I could not put this book down even if I wanted to. There is part of the story where your heartstrings will be pulled but remember to keep going as the story takes a twist that you would not imagine and takes it to higher level, and trust me it stays on high alert all the way through, up until the end. It does end on a cliffhanger, a massive one that just makes me want to hurry Simone on to see what will happen.

She captures the life of the MC world beautifully and transport you into the story, I have read many MC books and it is written just as good as any experienced MC writer.

Pleasantly surprised, this like I said is story writing at its best and you can see she has put a lot of passion into this as it shows on each turn of the page.

If you like alpha Bad boy´s and bikers in an MC world this is the book for you.

When I cant put a book down it deserves no less than 5 stars !!!

Reaper’s Rival is book 2 in the Satan’s Sons MC series. Book 1 was called Reaper’s Claim and introduced us to the main character’s Abby and Reaper. I quickly read Reaper’s Claim and I was hooked after the first chapter. It was a fantastic book which quickly led me on to Reaper’s Rival.

Here in book 2 we see Abby mixed up in a gang after the events from book 1. Reaper is desperate to get her back as she is mixed up in all kinds of trouble. Full of bad boys, deceit, lies and lots of drama, Reaper’s Rival will take you on a thrilling ride.

I have never read a MC book before, so didn’t know what to expect. The book captures the MC life in great detail and for a noob like me shows what it can be like living in the MC world.

Full of action and emotions made it hard to put before bed, as a result I’m currently sleep deprived! This series is highly addictive and I’m eagerly awaiting book 3.

I have given Reaper’s Rival 4 out of 5 stars.

This time she's a bad ass. Loved how Simone Elise made Abby all grown up with what she needed to do to block out Reaper leaving her. Again it's a major on again, off again story about how they both felt it is for the best to be out of each other lives, except there's really no need to fight it. I felt there was a little dragged on in that case, but again, I was following all their adventures and was so into it. I even cried at one point. Not going to give spoilers out, but there is some parts where it is so touching. And then wam bam there are so many moments that Abby is gun happy, which I though was a nice change from most female characters I've read. And just the same with Reaper. I thought how he showed a really sensitive side to his outer personality when it came to Abby. It was a nice transition from being this bad boy to see how he softens up only to Abby. Shows how much he cares but not too mushy. Which was great. Although I received an ARC copy from the publisher to give a true honest review, I am so ready for book #3.

Reaper is back and Abby is not the innocent girl he left behind. The saga continues with them trying to make their relationship work. Abby’s twin sister, Kim is still with Trigger. I t seems like everybody is facing threats from rival gangs. Reaper and the twin’s father are willing to go to war over but Abby and Kim have different priorities. Arguments, inequalities, and violence dominate the action. This is book two of the Satan’s Sons Romance Series. It ends in a cliffhanger. Book on is Reaper’s Claim and book three, Reaper’s Redemption.

I received this book through a Publisher's promotional giveaway. Although encouraged as a courtesy to provide feedback, I was under no obligation to write a review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

I was excited to read the continuing story of Reaper and Abby, but I have to say I was disappointed. Reaper cheats on her not once, but twice after the birth of their son while she is still in the hospital. I found that to be very hard to believe considering he remained faithful throughout the story and was supposedly completely head over heels in love. Abby's self-loathing and self-pity was extremely annoying, too. After she completed her "mission" she thought he wouldn't want to be with her? His name is Reaper why would he be judgmental of her? Then again in the hospital neither chose to comfort each other instead they blamed themselves and walked away. It wasn't the story line I was expecting.

Reaper's Rival by Simone Elise

Genre: Romance

About the book: Reaper and Abby were together and suddenly it is all gone. Abby is now in a rival gang, will she and Reaper come back together?

Review: The multiple POV ladies of the book helped the story flow and come together from different sides. You should read the book to understand some things but it could be read as a stand alone. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Reaper's Rival is the sequel to Reaper's Claim. This series MUST be read in order as they begin where the one before it left off. This book was much more action packed and emotional than the first. I'm ticked off about the ending. Why do you have to end it like that?!!?!?! Ugh!!! I'm stressed out, blood pumping, chest hurting, mind SCREAMING after that roller coaster ride. What more could these poor people go through?!?! Needless to say, there is more coming. A third book should be here by summer. I'm going to die of a heart attack if a resolution isn't had in the third book. Goodness sakes!!

Outlaw bikers, bad ass MCs, serious rivalry . . .

Abby and Reaper are back. This time around there are still things that she should not be a part of and a world she should not join. But life happens, eyes open, heart close and then bad things happen. This read did not take me as long as the first one to get through. I love MC stories and there is something exciting and sexy about outlaw MCs. There was more to this one and then less at the same time. I was feeling a bit conflicted about what I was reading.

I hope to one day try it again.

I really tired to read this book. I read the first one and had to fight to stay with it I mean one minuet there up the next there done and then back it doesn't make sense. I like my books with a little challenge and a fight for the love but once they get it I don't want to read where they give up so many times and then come back is that really love because I would walk away and never go back and now she pregnant? I just need you to stay you speed or give up tiring. Because this book will make you angry and want me to never read a book for this person again.... Just my opinion!!!!!!!!!

This sequel really fleshes out the story. So much detail is added to everything. I like Abby and Kim's relationship more this go 'round. There is so much stress between Kade and Abby. However, each time they make it through a struggle, their love seems to grow. I still really like Brad. Roach had improved as a father, too. Really looking forward to the next book. I hate cliffhangers, but this one was well done (but I still hate cliffhangers, lol).

Of COURSE she’s fucking pregnant! And only DAYS after they banged! Seriously?!? How unoriginal!
This book was long and ridiculous. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because they finally end up together. I don’t want to read the next book, but I will because i’m a sucker and it’s already downloaded. I’m SO annoyed!

Excellent read!

I absolutely freaking loved this book! This book will has you experiencing every emotion you read. You will be taking on one hell of a ride with Abby and Reaper's story. I cannot wait to read the next installment to this story. I highly recommend this as a one click.

Pins and Needles

This book is killing me. The back and forth. The fight to get together and then break apart. I'm sure there will be those that will not like the cheating and if you don't that's fine. However I think it just proves the love that Abby has for Reaper.

Not great

This series is just dragging on now. It started of great but it’s just the same story line over and over in each book. Think I’m done now and will not be reading the next one.
