Non mi ha convinto molto..sicuramente è scritto molto bene,alcune battute sono anche abbastanza divertenti ma l'ho trovato per lo piu'noioso...troppi tempi morti,troppe scene inutili.
Per renderlo migliore farei su sto libro un lavoro di taglio e cuci,eliminerei parecchia roba,lo snellirei e aggiungerei un pizzico di pepe(anche su quel fronte tutto piatto,c'è la storia d'amore ma non è sviluppata,rimane sullo sfondo ed emergono solo i vari matrimoni delle amiche con annesse descrizioni,cosa che sarebbe utile a qualche wedding planner svitato per prendere spunti scemi).
Anche questa volta le aspettative sono andate deluse...😕

Salve Confine!
Oggi vorrei parlarvi di una lettura che io chiamo "di respiro", perché è quel genere di lettura che ho bisogno di fare dopo aver letto romanzi ad alto tasso tensivo o emotivo, per scaricare un po' l'anima, per sorridere e rilassarmi.
Ho scelto di leggere, grazie alla Newton Compton editori, "Il matrimonio delle mie migliori amiche" di Charlotte Butterfild, che è riuscito pienamente nel suo compito!
Eve è damigella e organizzatrice del matrimonio di tre delle sue migliori amiche e di quello del fratello Adam, e non perché sia una wedding planner, ma tra loro è la figura con maggiore autorità nel settore, in quanto scrive articoli a tema matrimoni per una rivista di moda.
Ma si sa, le spose si trasformano in mostri quando si tratta del loro grande giorno.
Le richieste che avanzano, spesso, sono assurde e Eve è arrivata al limite della pazienza e delle sue forze.
In più, al primo matrimonio in lista si presenta una vecchia conoscenza di Eve, una persona che le ha spezzato il cuore e che continua ad avere una certa influenza nella sua vita quando si parla di sentimenti, anche se lei nega tenacemente.
Ben è tornato in Inghilterra dopo aver lasciato Eve quattro anni prima, in attesa all’aeroporto il giorno in cui avrebbero dovuto trasferirsi a New York per cominciare la loro vita insieme come coppia.
Ben allora non si era presentato e Eve era partita senza di lui, vivendo una delle esperienze più brutte della sua vita, tanto da tornare in Inghilterra un paio di anni dopo.
In questi quattro anni solo i primi tempi Eve ha cercato di contattare Ben per sapere cosa gli aveva fatto cambiare idea dalla sera alla mattina, senza nemmeno avere la decenza di comunicarglielo.
“Come essere la damigella perfetta. Regola numero uno: comincia a rimpiangere l’amica che tanto amavi perché, non appena resterà invischiata nei preparativi del matrimonio, non esisterà più.”
Romanzo rosa veramente molto molto rosa, romantico e divertente.
Ho goduto appieno di questa lettura, sia per la penna brillante dell'autrice, che combina stile fresco e semplice con dialoghi sferzanti e divertenti, sia per la scorrevolezza e il ritmo veloce del romanzo.
Ogni pagina riserva un sorriso, vuoi per le richieste assurde delle spose, vuoi per i battibecchi tra Ben e Eve.
Mi è piaciuta tanto quest'ultima, che tenta di ostentare indifferenza nei confronti di Ben, del suo ritorno, ma che non si lascia sfuggire occasione per lanciare frecciatine non troppo velate.
Anche Ben è davvero un personaggio molto, molto gradevole, che ci piacerà ancora di più quando scopriremo perché ha fatto ciò che ha fatto.
Divertenti sono anche le pagine di diario che Eve scrive per sfogare la frustrazione e lo stress di dover esaudire le richieste delle sue amiche, traducendo con grande ironia e una punta di cattiveria le varie esperienze dei vari "grande giorno" a cui dovrà partecipare.
Pagine di diario che si conquisteranno un pubblico quando le capiterà il colpo di fortuna di scrivere per una rivista on line sotto pseudonimo, dietro lauto compenso. Anche questo si trasformerà in motivo di stress alla fine per la nostra Eve, che sarà divisa tra il rimorso di aver parlato male dei matrimoni delle amiche e il bisogno di soldi per sbarcare il lunario.
Niente, che dire di più?
Mi è piaciuto molto e mi ci voleva proprio.
Se siete amanti dei bei romanzi rosa spensierati e divententi, dove equivoci e malintesi creano situazioni esilaranti ma anche momenti estremamente romantici, allora questo romanzo è per voi!

A very enjoyable read, where I actually enjoyed the lead up to the weddings and the columns these generated more than the love story. Very funny too, so I’ll definitely read another by this author.

Eve is a wedding journalist and magazine agony aunt whose friends are all getting married so as she struggles to help plan and attend five then later that becomes six, weddings, Ben the guy she expected to marry shows up again at a wedding after jilting her at the airport years before leaving her to live in New York alone.
As her brother's, Ayesha, Tanya and Becca's weddings all look closer and take place there's psychic action through sceance, Harry Potter themes parties and besides looking after Tanya's flat she has to dog sit for her too despite her rotten attitude and lack of respect we later see for her have for her so called friend!
Then there's Ben showing up everywhere, but as the pair reconnect and discover the years they missed out on each other's lives, will the old spark reignite?
As Eve tries to find her ideal man who's name coincidentally begins with a B as the psychic told her...
With a lot of wedding drama, heartbreak and craziness in the build up to the weddings this shows the way the big day can take a toll on the most prepared of girls! It shows even wedding journalists can feel the big day blues, every girl might stress over their lippy for the wedding but not even factor in having to face their ex again! Full of fun, dramatic fallouts and wild antics in some cases as well as showing freaky coincidences can lead to happiness this is a book perfect for wedding season!

Eve is a wedding journalist, so if you're planning a wedding she the person to go to, and well, all of her friends that are getting married, as well as her brother that is also getting married, shamelessly use this fact and treat Eve as an agony aunt who knows everything and everybody that's worth knowing. Basically, Eve is happy with this. Until one day, at one of the weddings, Ben shows up out of the blue. Ben, who was supposed to fly with her to New York few years ago, and they were supposed to spend their lives together, to have children and happy ever after. Moreover, Ben seems to show up everywhere now! Moreover, according to some prediction from a psychic séance (don't ask) Eve should look out for a guy whose name starts with "B". Is it Ben? After all those years and breaking Eve's heart? Or is it Bruno? Or any other man whose name starts with "B"?
I adore books about weddings, and especially when the weddings really take place in the story, just like in this book, and the more hilarious and unthinkable the better, and this novel really ticked all the boxes. It covered everything when it comes to hen dos and weddings, guys. Not only psychic séances but also Harry Potter themes parties, through bridezillas to the more laid - back brides to be. Also, the weddings - I loved the weddings, guys. I'm a real sucker when it comes to the wedding and Charlotte Butterfield covered all kinds of weddings, and it was absolutely brilliant - from the very, very minuscule planned one to one that took place on the field and the guest were sitting on hay bales - also because of psychic séance. Don't ask - read the book!
The characters were really well written and developed, though mostly some of them were a little bit too overdrawn for my liking. If we weren't supposed to like them they were described in a way that made it impossible to like them. I'd love them to be a little more three - dimensional. I wanted to pack Tanya off to the moon and never let her come back again, and I really admired the other characters that put up with her for so long and so patiently - hats off to them. Eve's best friend Becky seemed a little too passive for my liking, and as if she really didn't care about anything and I longed for a moment when she took matters in her own hands. You can be laid back but you can also be too laid back, and Becky was the latter.
This book truly ticked all the boxes for a light - hearted, perfect summer read. There was enough drama, enough happiness, heartbreak and happy endings, love, hate and friendship. It was full of fun and sunshine, antics that had me in giggles, and second chances. Charlotte Butterfield's writing style is light and so easy to follow and full of heart and humour. So yes, it was a laugh - out - loud book and it was just what I needed. It was equally funny and romantic and often the authors can overdone with such novels, on such topics and you as a reader have a feeling that everything is too forced and untrue - here on the other hand everything worked smoothly and nothing was too pushed. It was hilarious but still on the right side. Yes, it was a little predictable and some of the things you've just seen coming in seven - league boots but on the whole it didn't spoil the reading and the joy. "A Beautiful Day for a Wedding" is the best example that a simple idea can also work brilliantly!

Ciao Impertinenti!!
Scusate l’assenza, ma sono un pochino impegnata ultimamente! Sapete cosa vuol dire organizzare un matrimonio??? Beh, tranquille nemmeno la sottoscritta lo sapeva finché non ha iniziato! E sì, sarà il giorno più bello della mia vita, sarò bellissima, una principessina almeno per una volta, ma che fatica!
E nel Il Matrimonio delle mie migliori amiche i matrimoni sono BEN quattro!! Avete capito bene. Ed è compito di Eve organizzarli.
Leggere questo libro è stato terapeutico, mi sono sentita meno pazza, io che ho avuto una crisi al mese per ogni piccola cosa che non andava.
Eve si ritrova a dover stare dietro a tutte le richieste delle amiche, anche quelle più bizzarre ed assurde e i momenti esilaranti e divertenti non sono mancati. Ho riso tanto, quelle risate che fanno bene al cuore!
Pur essendo una commedia romantica, leggera e frizzante, la cosa che ho apprezzato di più di questo libro è l’amicizia, quella che lega Eve alle sue amiche, che la fa correre in lungo e in largo per riuscire ad esaudire tutti i loro desideri. Tanya è il personaggio che ho sopportato di meno, con la puzza sotto il naso, sempre pronta a giudicare tutto e tutti, con la cerimonia perfetta e sfarzosa, lontana anni luce dalla mia idea di matrimonio. Becca invece l’ho semplicemente adorata, frizzante e allegra come me, sempre pronta ad aiutare le amiche.
Eve è una donna che ha smesso di credere nell’amore, al matrimonio, colpa di Ben, il suo grande amore che l’ha lasciata di punto in bianco senza nessuna spiegazione.
Cinica e disillusa crede che il matrimonio non sia fatto per lei.
Ma poi boom!! Colpo di scena! Ben ritorna. Con un bagaglio di vita pesante e doloroso.
Non vi nascondo che le scene e i dialoghi fra i due sono stati i mie momenti preferiti. Si percepisce il loro legame, si respira amore, ma Eve non si fida… Lo ha già fatto e si è ritrovata con un pugno di mosche in mano, il cuore a pezzi, e molte lacrime versate.
Non vado oltre altrimenti vi svelerei troppo!
Io vi consiglio di leggerlo, soprattutto se fra di vuoi c’è qualche futura sposa. Vi assicuro che in alcuni momenti avrete le lacrime agli occhi dal ridere.
Lo stile della Butterfield è scorrevole, vi permette di immedesimarvi nella vicenda. La devo ringraziare di cuore perché mi ha fatto vedere tutte le mie piccoli crisi come normali e mi sono sentita capita.

This is my first book by this author and now want to read more as she has a really good way of writing and so heartwarming while being a laugh out loud book and so easy to read and enjoy. It's fun and full of emotions while being romantic and of course about weddings. A simply brilliant book and highly recommend anyone to read it.
Eve is a wedding journalist and she's so pleased as her brother and three best friends are getting married in the same summer and she will be a bridesmaid and can write about each one for her job. She sadly can't find enable herself and she learns her ex Ben will be back in the country and will be a guest at the weddings so she know wants the summer over with. Problem is over the summer as well as the weddings her friends will all give her jobs to do while they are away on honeymoon but she is also writing her own bridesmaid tails but she needs to ensure they never see the tails she writes. She is told by a fortune teller her forever man will have a name beginning with the letter B so she starts going out with people who's names start with a B. Problem is is the real person she is destined to be with her ex Ben or not. Can she find happiness after a summer of weddings or not.

Eve knows a lot about weddings (and brides!) but what does she know about love? She's found herself on the rotten end of the stick as her brother and her friends get married all one after another - talk about wedding antics! AND, to add to it, her long lost love Ben has turned up. Ben really is a good guy, despite having left Eve at the altar as it were and you know things are going to be entertaining. This is a funny, light, delightful bit of chick lit. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This is perfect for an afternoon in the garden or for travel because it just flows.

I loved this book! Eve works for a wedding magazine and finds it hard to say no to her friends who are getting hitched and want her help. The book was funny and the characters are great, even the not so nice ones! Eve is feeling a bit disillusioned with love since Ben left her waiting at the airport. He comes back into her life and most of the book is about their miscommunication in trying to sort out what went wrong. I want to read the rest of Charlotte's books now!

A lighthearted enjoyable read, which is exactly what I was expecting.
Eve and her friends are all very likeable characters and though the book is very predictable, I did enjoy getting to know the characters and wondered how Eve's life would pan out.
No great twists or shocks. If you like weddings and all things surrounding them, this is the book for you.

Fin dalle prime pagine lo stile fresco e frizzante dell’autrice preannuncia un libro solare e perfettamente adatto per qualche ora spensierata.
Se siete state spose, damigelle o anche solo invitate a un matrimonio, non potrete che ritrovarvi in alcune scene descritte negli articoli della protagonista, e allo stesso modo non potrete che sorriderne… o vergognarvi da morire.
Quando ho iniziato la lettura ho subito pensato di trovarmi in un reboot della commedia romantica 27 volte in bianco, ma il libro si è rivelato ancora meglio della pellicola.
Il romanzo gira intorno alle avventure di Eve, raccontate in terza persona, che lavora in una famosa rivista di matrimoni, da poco tornata a Londra dopo due anni trascorsi nell’affollata New York.
Vista la sua ormai celebre cultura in fatto di addii al nubilato, fiori e inviti, le amiche non si risparmiano e chiedono il suo aiuto per qualsiasi cosa riguardi le loro feste di nozze. Eve non se la sente di dire di no e alla fine cede a tutte le richieste, arrivando sull’orlo di una crisi isterica.
Tutto si complica quando l’ex fidanzato, Ben, che l’ha abbandonata poco prima di salire sull’aereo per l’America, ritorna in città e cerca di riallacciare i rapporti con lei.
I colpi di scena che non mancano durante tutta la narrazione, rendono il romanzo una lettura veloce, scorrevole e assolutamente consigliata soprattutto in questo periodo estivo.
Alla fine della lettura, ancora una volta risulta evidente che non sempre servono manzi in copertina e scene di sesso bollente per la buona riuscita di un prodotto, ma anzi, a volte è meglio una sana e sonora risata.

Se siete state spose, damigelle o anche solo invitate a un matrimonio, non potrete che ritrovarvi in alcune scene descritte negli articoli della protagonista, e allo stesso modo non potrete che sorriderne… o vergognarvi da morire.
Quando ho iniziato la lettura ho subito pensato di trovarmi in un reboot della commedia romantica 27 volte in bianco, ma il libro si è rivelato ancora meglio della pellicola.
Il romanzo gira intorno alle avventure di Eve, raccontate in terza persona, che lavora in una famosa rivista di matrimoni, da poco tornata a Londra dopo due anni trascorsi nell’affollata New York.
Vista la sua ormai celebre cultura in fatto di addii al nubilato, fiori e inviti, le amiche non si risparmiano e chiedono il suo aiuto per qualsiasi cosa riguardi le loro feste di nozze. Eve non se la sente di dire di no e alla fine cede a tutte le richieste, arrivando sull’orlo di una crisi isterica.

Eve worked for a wedding magazine and was suppose to plan a hen party before Tonya gets married. Tonya’s coworker had sent out every email Eve had sent out but stressed to say nothing to Tonya as it was to be a surprise but Tonya’s co-worker Maggie sent all emails to Tonya. Tonya told Eve she hated all her ideas. Tonya said Eve was one of her best friends and she should know what she liked. Tonya was definitely being a bridezilla to Eve and taking it to another level. Eve wrote three or four articles for Your Wonderful wedding per month. Eve wrote articles full of love and romance. Eve was also the magazines resident agony aunt. Eve worked with Kat who was the beauty journalist at the magazine she and Eve worked for. Eve had five wedding to plan this summer one was even for her brother and he was being over the top with his requests. Eve only has one free weekend this summer with all the weddings and their various planned events. Kat tells Eve - she was young and single and was wasting the summer by being at the beck and call of people who have already found their other halves . Kat added Eve wasn’t going to find someone if she didn’t put herself out there. Kat and Eve have worked together for two years. Kat also said finding a partner requires a massive amount of effort , he doesn’t just turn up Eve had been jilted at the airport by Ben. Eve and Ben had been in London and were to come to N Y together and he left her to come to N Y alone. All Ben left was a line in Eve’s passport to say he wasn’t going he would explain one day. Ben seems to be everywhere and Eve sees him. He has been invited to all her friends weddings in some cases he was even to be the best man. Eve became angry the way her friends/bridezillas were taking her for granted she then starts venting her anger by writing an honest take on all weddings and then ends up writing freelance for a rival magazine. A psychic has a premonition that says her future lies with a man whose name starts with a B. After the psychic all Eve’s friends set her up with a bunch of disastrous blind dates. Eve and Ben reconnect and discover they missed out on in each other’s life. Old feelings start to come back.
I enjoyed this book. It was a light funny read with a side of romance. I don’t think Eve should have taken on so many weddings. She needs to learn to say no especially hpw friends tend to turn into bridezillas and take her for granted. I didn’t like Ben at first when he jilted Eve and forced her to come to NY alone but as time went on I did learn to at least respect him. I didn’t like how Eve neglected Coco and she deserved walking into a mess. I didn’t like it was supposed to be funny when she neglected a dog she promised to take care of. But i have a strong love for animals so some will think me to harsh and that is their right. But I did enjoy Eve a lot other than that. I also loved how Kit told eve the way it was and to start worrying about her own love life before she ended up alone.Some of Eve’s friends as well as her brother needs to learn even though their weddings to appreciate what Eve does for them or tries to. Tonya really annoyed me as did her co-worker Maggie. I liked the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend.

Ohh I have so much love for this gorgeous book. If I was able to give it more than 5/5 I really would. This book has everything a chicklit lover could possibly want and it reminded me of the old chick flicks like 27 dresses and bridesmaids.

When it comes to weddings Eve is the go to girl, she knows everything you could ever need to know and her friends and family exploit her a bit in the lead up to their weddings. Calling her to get all the best deals, calling on her contracts in the wedding biz, putting her in charge of their hen and stag dos even making her get into debt on her credit card. But Eve is more than happy to help her friends out to make their fairytale a reality.
Despite every waking moment being filled with love and romance. Eves love life isn’t fairing so well. Eves heart is still broken after the love of her life Ben left her stranded at the airport, when they were about to start their new life in New York. With only a line in her passport to say he wasn’t going and he would explain one day, and so Eve is forced to start their new life on her own.
But Eve is home now, working on a highflying bridal magazine and life is going well, that is until she is told that Ben is back and has been invited to all her friends weddings and even been asked to be best man at a few.

This book is really funny and at many times I must have looked like a lunatic on the bus because I ended up laughing out loud. This wonderfully, warm, lighthearted, utterly romantic, feel good novel was exactly what I needed to get me out of my reading slump. Every chicklit and romance fan really must read this book as I promise you, you will love it and it will leave you with a massive smile on your face and feeling great and ready for the summer. I absolutely loved this book and Charlotte is firmly on my list of favourite authors to read. Fabulous.

3.5 stelline!
Eve scrive per una rivista a tema matrimoni e per giunta è anche molto brava a organizzarli. Non a caso, in quattro e quattr’otto, si ritrova a dover pianificare l’estate con ben tre cerimonie che vedranno protagoniste delle sue amiche e la quarta per suo fratello. Tutti fanno affidamento su di lei, ma si sa..stare dietro al volere delle spose in quel momento è mooolto difficile, bisogna avere una grande pazienza! Ma lei fa di tutto per esaudire le loro richieste al meglio, anche quando queste persone non lo meriterebbero per via del comportamento che tengono nei suoi confronti.
Eve è l’amica che tutti vorrebbero avere: di buon cuore, altruista e capace di organizzare tutto per filo e per segno qualsiasi cosa che le si chieda. Arriva un momento però dove non riesce più a sopportare tutto questo e da vita così ad un diario dove poter riversare tutti i suoi sfoghi e nervosismo che le sue amiche le fanno passare. Però da tutto questo ne viene fuori di pubblicare una rubrica nel giornale “Venus” per raccontare tutti questi sfoghi che scrive, ma non ne deve sapere nessuno altrimenti sarà un patatrac!
Scrive sì per i matrimoni, ma Eve cosa ne pensa dell’amore?
Bella domanda, è una donna single e a lei va bene così. Finché in città non ritorna Ben, l’uomo che le ha rubato e spezzato il cuore anni prima. Iniziano così i ricordi belli e brutti di tutto quello che ha passato e, fooorse, vedremo come riusciranno a ritrovarsi di nuovo. Dico forse perché in tutto questo ci saranno anche le avventure di Eve per trovare l’anima gemella, dopo che una chiromante le ha detto che il suo uomo perfetto avrà il nome che inizierà con la lettera “B”..quale sarà dei tanti che compariranno nella sua strada?

Regola numero uno: comincia a rimpiangere l’amica che tanto amavi perché, non appena resterà invischiata nei preparativi del matrimonio, non esisterà più.”
Chi non ha mai visto il film “27 volte in bianco” in cui la protagonista è innamorata dell’amore e fa la damigella d’onore a ben ventisette matrimoni? Oppure a qualsiasi film che tratta questo tema?
Ecco, è stato proprio grazie a questo film che mi sono decisa a leggere questo libro. Ma anche per il fatto che mi sono sposata poco più di un anno fa e quindi rievocare tutti i momenti di organizzazione e di ansia per arrivare a quel fatidico “sì”, mi ha portata indietro nel tempo con tanto di sorrisone e occhi lucidi!
L’ho trovato un libro piacevolissimo da leggere, forse un po’ troppo prolisso in certe parti, ma ci sono stati momenti molto esilaranti.

Questa sua professione verrà vista dalle sue amiche e da suo fratello, tutti prossimi alle nozze, come il lasciapassare per trasformarla in una sorta di wedding planner. Così Eve si ritroverà a gestire richieste talora assurde e a risolvere problemi dell’ultimo minuto che metteranno a dura prova la sua pazienza tanto quanto il ritorno inaspettato di Ben, il suo ex fidanzato, colui che l’ha lasciata anni prima senza una motivazione. Riuscirà a mantenersi distante oppure il romanticismo generale la coinvolgerà?

Organizzare un matrimonio è sicuramente un evento piacevole ma indubbiamente stressante. Sono tanti i dettagli da curare e le incombenze legate alla cerimonia sembrano aumentare di giorno in giorno così come i dubbi o le scelte amletiche.
Eve è l’amica che tutte le spose vorrebbero. Nella fase dell’organizzazione è importante avere qualcuno al proprio fianco pronto a supportare, a rassicurare e soprattutto a soddisfare ogni folle richiesta. Eve è una persona altruista e generosa, non riesce a dire di no, crede nell’amicizia e, anche se talvolta vorrebbe lanciare un urlo, non si tira mai indietro. Ha messo da parte l’amore dopo la delusione ricevuta da Ben che l’ha portata a trincerarsi nel lavoro e nella felicità di chi la circonda diventando un po’ cinica.
Ben irrompe sulla scena portando scompiglio. Eve vorrebbe evitarlo, fingendo di non provare più nulla per lui, tuttavia non è così, è evidente che c’è del sospeso. A questo proposito risultano molto divertenti i battibecchi tra i due e i continui tira e molla: per ogni passo in avanti compiuto ne corrispondono due indietro, tanto che il lettore non riesce a immaginare come potrebbe evolversi il loro rapporto.
Lo stile dell’autrice è fresco, leggero e frizzante. La sua prosa riesce a coinvolgere il lettore, divertendolo e facendolo sempre sentire parte della vicenda.
Un romanzo rosa ben costruito, dolce e originale. Una lettura che regala un piacevolissimo momento di evasione.

Sono sicuramente di parte ma adoro i check-lit con tema i matrimoni e in questo romanzo di Charlotte Butterfield ce ne sono addirittura quattro.
Infatti, la protagonista, Eve si ritrova a passare l'estate ad organizzare il matrimonio delle sue tre migliori amiche e di suo fratello. Nulla di male per lei che di mestiere fa la giornalista in una rivista specializzata in matrimoni e in particolare gestisce la posta di spose disperate che le chiedono consigli. Già, peccato che a sconvolgerle l'esistenza ci pensa Ben, il suo primo amore che torna in Inghilterra dopo quattro anni e dopo aver mandato all'aria tutti i progetti per il futuro che avevano costruito insieme, lasciando che Eve appena laureata parta da sola per New York.
Dal ritorno di Ben in poi, sarà tutto un susseguirsi di piccoli drammi che porteranno Eve a mettersi in discussione e a chiedersi che tipo di persona sta diventando, soprattutto da quando ha accettato di scrivere per la velenosa rivista "rivale" come autrice freelance, buttando giù articoli al vetriolo proprio contro le sue stesse spose-amiche.
Il lieto fine c'è ma si fa attendere fino all'ultimo capitolo, mentre il romanzo, a mio avviso è stato concluso un po' troppo in fretta, meritava almeno un epilogo che invece non c'è.
Tuttavia, è una lettura spassosa e divertente, che si lascia leggere con estrema facilità e l'autrice ha ben costruito i personaggi; è molto facile entrare in empatia con Eve e si è spinti dalla curiosità di sapere fino a che punto arriverà prima di rimettere ordine nella sua vita.
Un romanzo perfetto da leggere sotto l'ombrellone, durante le ore di relax estivo.

Like all good romantic comedy, it has a likeable, flawed heroine and an assortment of quirky friends and admirers. We are treated to a full gambit of weddings, and all have their humorous and poignant moments. There is an added twist as, wedding journalist Eve makes full use of her 'fly on the wall' opportunity, which threatens to undermine the real friendships she has.
I didn't enjoy Eve's neglect of her friend's dog, albeit unwittingly, after the first wedding. Using an animal's suffering for comic purposes doesn't sit well with me, but apart from that, this is a fun, romantic, hilarious romp through several couples special days.

As Eve is a journalist for a wedding magazine, all her friends and family consider her an expert on the subject and ask for her help in organising their weddings. She has five weddings to go this summer and between crazy brides, a Wizard of Oz-themed wedding, her best friend inviting whoever she meets, and her brother’s over-the-top requests, Eve doesn’t have a minute to herself.
Additionally, her friends think that now she is thirty, it’s time to settle down. So after a clairvoyant predicts that her future lies with a man whose name starts with B, all her friends set her up on awful dates with men like that. Ben, the man she once considered the love of her life who left her alone at the airport when they were supposed to move to New York together, is back in London and in her life and all the feelings she had tried to forget start to resurface.
This is a really entertaining and funny novel. The characters are mostly likable and some of them are really colourful and make you laugh. The story is witty and engaging and I really enjoyed reading Eve’s adventures, wedding after wedding.

Quando ho letto la trama di questo libro, mi sono entusiasmata perché mi ricordava molto il film 27 volte in bianco. E devo ammettere che tra addii al nubilato catastrofici, matrimonio in campagna o in capannoni industriali, Eve e le sue amiche mi stavano divertendo molto. Poi la storia si è appiattita, è diventata noiosa e ridondante. Più di ogni altra cosa, ho trovato il finale inconcludente. Dopo 300 pagine di disavventure più o meno comiche, mi aspetto un lieto fine calzante. Peccato, poteva fare di meglio.

Lettura divertente e piacevole. La ricerca di B, uno dei fil rouge insieme ai matrimoni, è stata un espediente divertente. Sembrava di avere a che fare con Bridget Jones ed è stata la lettura perfetta per una persona in cerca di un libro rosa non troppo scontato. L'autrice è stata in grado di farmi immedesimare nella protagonista e tanto è bastato per farmelo piacere. Che mi ha convinto definitivamente sul 4/5 è stato il finale... tutti abbiamo dei periodi in cui ci sentiamo persi e fuori posto...

I laughed, I cried, I invested myself in this story and I’m glad to say I was not disappointed at all. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and finished it within 24 hours.
The story is funny and engaging filled with hero’s and the odd villain. I found myself rooting for Eve throughout and was desperate to see how her tale turned out.
Perfect read for those who love a happy ending with some tummy aching laughter along the way.

Everyone loves a wedding or not. Eve writes about weddings, is the ultimate pushover which makes a great maid of honor. This summer all of her university friends and her brother are getting married. All put Eve in charge of making their wedding perfect. This is a cute story looking at friends and relationships. Nice summer read.

What a cute book! I was immediately hooked on Eve's summer of weddings. As a 30+ year old woman, we have all had that summer and I think everyone can relate to the chaos. While the ending was somewhat predictable the story was engaging and entertaining. Definitely a perfect read for the summer on the beach!

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy. Eve is a wedding columnist with multiple weddings to attend and create over the next several weeks. This book was so light and fun! Had me laughing at time. This was a great quick read!

This was a fun/light read. Perfect for a relaxing day at the beach or just a quiet day at home with a book. The book kept me engaged and wanting to know what was going to come next.
